Mai braced her right shoulder against the tree, taking deep breaths and counting slowly. "1...2...3...4!" Her entire body went rigid as she threw all her strength into pushing, trying to topple the 50-foot pine. She stepped back, breathing heavily. In spite of the lowering temperature, she had thrown on a tank-top and a pair of thin jeans, and a worn pair of shoes that appeared soaked through with snow. Laying her shoulder to the tree again, she counted down under her breath. "...3...4!"

She stepped back again, one hand straying to rub her shoulder lightly. Her skin, unprotected from the cold, had taken on a somewhat blueish tinge, accentuated by the multiple bruises and oozing scrapes covering her right side. She nodded firmly to herself, smiling as much as her chattering teeth would allow. "Now it's standing straight," she murmured, surveying the tree as she walked around it. Never mind that it stood at the exact same angle as it did before she went to work on it.

When: Friday Afternoon, around 3 PM

What: Mai is relaxing after settling in

Mai lounged back on a couch in the Student Lounge, lazily flipping through the latest issue of J-Pop Magazine. Her head moved in in time with the music blaring from her ear buds, loud enough that anyone passing within 5 feet of her would be able to hear it. She sang along softly with the chorus, and not caring what it looked like, air drummed along with one particularly awesome drum solo.

It had taken her three hours to unpack decorate her half of the room, now plastered with mini-posters of Japanese and Korean pop stars and actors, and posters from her favorite Atlus games. She had spent the most time organizing and laying out her favorite jewelry. It wasn't until she finished making her bed (covered with chibi plushes from numerous animes) that she realized she had missed lunch.

Now content, Mai skipped to the next song on her player, munching on the last chips remaining from her makeshift vending-machine lunch.

Where: Their dorm room
When: Mid-morning
What: Meeting each other

Katie woke up early on Saturday comfortably curled up with Daigo. She was feeling a lot better. Much more rested than the day before. She sighed happily as she curled into Daigo's arms. She rolled over and kissed him lightly. They lay together for a little while before getting up to start the day. She sighed fingering her clothes. She had to go back to her room to get a shower and change her clothes. Daigo was checking things on his computer, so she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before taking off. She walked slowly back to her room, hoping it wasn't to early to be going back. She didn't know her new roommate's schedule. She got to the room and unlocked the door, walking in quietly.

"Oh!" She said startled seeing the girl up on the computer,"You are up. Good. I didn't want to disturb you." Katie looked over the girl slowly. She was quite pretty and Katie felt like a wreak next to her. She went over to her closet looking for something to wear. She selected some clothes and turned to her roommate.

"I am sorry about yesterday. I was exhausted and having a bad day. I didn't want to take any of it out on you."

Who: Mai
When: Friday Morning, around 11 AM
Where: TJS, Dormitory A
What: Mai is moving in, late as usual

Mai grunted in frustration as she dropped the packet of registration papers and her map yet again. It had taken her nearly an hour to find her luggage at the airport, nearly another to find the administrative offices and finalize her schedule, and now she was sure she had the right area, but still couldn't seem to find her room. She released the handle on her suitcase, flipping her bangs out of her face and crouching to gather the spilled papers. Holding up the campus map, she looked through her registration papers. "A3...bakabakashii...I passed it." grabbing hold of the suitcase handle, she tipped it carefully and maneuvered it around, being careful not destroy the delicate balance of the three other cases and the garment bag attached to the top of her wheeled case. She moved as quickly as possible back through the hallways, stopping outside the door to A3 and shoving her registration packet under her arm.

Keeping her luggage balanced carefully, Mai knocked on the door. After receiving no response, she opened the door, managing to roll her luggage in through the doorway and only losing one bag in the process. Dropping the papers on the unmade bed in the room, she grabbed the garment bag off her suitcase and moved to the closet, opening it and hanging the bag.

She pulled her cellphone out of her pocket, flipping it open and dialing, gripping it expertly between her head and shoulder as she began unpacking her clothes from the bag, smoothing the creases out as she arranged them in the closet. "...Moshi moshi...Matsu-san onegaishimasu...Iie, kekkou desu...O-denwa kudasai to otsutae negaemasu ka...Onegaishimasu. Arigatou gozaimasu." She sighed as she hung up the phone and continued to unpack. "Tell me to call and you aren't even in the office..."
