Xander found himself looking forward to this particular weekend, and the boat trip. He was looking forward to it, despite knowing that he was likely going to have a less than thrilled companion for however long it lasted. Whether one night or the entire weekend, at this point it didn’t matter to him. He planned on sailing out just far enough to be away from any sort of other distraction. Once that was accomplished, he knew he could get some things worked out in his head and in person.

He gave Kalli directions on how to get to the boat yard from the school, as he was already there. He assumed she didn’t have any real experience with ships, or sailing, so he arrived ahead of time to make sure the vessel was equipped and set up so that they wouldn’t have any real problems. The fact that the weather was scheduled to be quite nice and calm was a bonus. Although, at this point in time, he might have given anything for a storm and rough water, just to ride waves again, even if it would be with a ship rather than a board.

His guitar was squared away, as were sets of scuba gear and wet suits. As much as he wanted to see the girl in a bikini, the water was far too cold to allow for that. Especially during this time of the year. The fridge was stocked, the engine fueled, and everything else ready to go. The 30 foot yacht might appear to be smaller than she might have expected, and he didn’t think she’d be happy that there was only one cabin and would in the end have very little privacy. But there were multiple beds, as well as a shower and bathroom and a fully loaded and stocked kitchen within it. Now, he just had to wait to see how she’d react to it as he reclined in the helm’s seat.

Kalli was laughing to herself as she got into bed. Xander was clearly a nutcase. He had told her that, well not outright but alluded to, one of his powers was dreamwalking and soul stealing. Riiight. She knew there were some pretty nasty things creeping about but c'mon! Kalli considered her mind to be strong and if he really wasn't just pulling her leg, well she just wouldn't let him in!  Silly boy. On the other hand though, Kalli was all but dying to find out if he was telling the truth. A whole week of intense curiosity about his 'secret' was enough to send her to an asylum. On any other day Kalli was calm and collected, but give her something to be curious about and you've got a four year old tugging on your shirt sleeve every ten minutes because they want something.

Kalli did manage to find some pajamas though. Usually she slept in the nude but she didn't quite know how dream walking and soul stealing worked. If he had to come in her room while she was asleep she sure as hell wasn't about to give him a show. Nope, that's for sure. In her brief period of wandering between attending the two schools she's been to, she had become a lot more reserved. Kalli wouldn't jump into bed with someone the second time they met anymore.

Who: Erin and Kalli
When: Tuesday evening, just before sundown
Where: On the way to the Student Lounge
What: Erin is on her way to hang up a flyer when she's bumped into. Literally.

Erin was on her way to the hopefully not-too-crowded student lounge to do something she felt she was going to regret. The carefully folded neon-green flyers in her right hand itched her fingers. Tutor? Working? Since when? She was annoyed. She hated explaining things to anyone, and here she was advertising that she was willing to do just that -- for a small fee, of course. She was counting on receiving adequate feedback because her flyer suggested the long lines at the tutoring center might not be worth the wait. She wasn't entirely wrong; sometimes it was easier to sit one and one. The only reason she wasn't downright furious with having to actually work for her money was probably because she'd had a good dinner, and ice cream had been available for dessert. She had a serious sweet tooth.

I wouldn't have to do this bullshit if they hadn't set me up with base essentials, she thought, eyes narrowing at the idea of her parents laughing at her situation. She was tired of living off two solid weeks worth of outfits, and she was low on perfume, makeup, and other things she required. Erin was used to having nice things. It wasn't until she'd officially Messed Up that her parents had sent her here in their frustration with very little to live off of. There were other ways to procure cash, she knew, but she wanted an immediate result and she just wasn't settled enough to dip her hands into anything she wasn't entirely sure about.

In high heels (she was rarely wearing flats, except for when she went to the gym), she was five foot nine, and walked fast. Her hair flew out behind her at a sudden autumn gust and she turned her face away from the sudden breeze, grey eyes narrowed. She hated that feeling. It took your breath away momentarily, and made you feel a little helpless.

( If there was one thing she didn't enjoy, it was feeling helpless. )

Where: Outside
When: Late Wednesday Night
What: Somebody is having a nic-fit :)

If Kalli had been a hermit since the sunday afternoon she arrived at the school, she was certainly a social butterfly now. She had happened to bump into Xander earlier today, and then met her old friend, Starbuck later. Now she was meeting somebody else. Kalli never thought to get his name though, and she didn't know anything else either - only that he needed a smoke and they were meeting outside. Where outside wasn't even decided. Not that Kalli minded. Details were never something she stopped to recognize.

From Starbuck's, Kalli scurried up to her room to find something warmer to wear, a thicker jacket, a scarf and some light-weight mittens. It wasn't that chilly, but Kalli hated the cold. So all bundled up, she jumped back outside and found her perch on a bench a respectable distance from the school.

Her mittens had those flip top things that allowed the tips of your fingers to be exposed for careful manuevering. Perfect for smoking. On her way down she collected what was left of the Marlboro Lights for the random that she was sharing with. But, it was only when she was sitting on the bench that she realized she was alone, and that it was really hard to give someone cigarettes if they weren't there. No worry though, the crisis could easily be averted. Kalli placed the dart on her lips and lit it. All the other person had to do was follow their nose, and surely someone with a craving wouldn't have any problem finding her.

What: Kalli sees someone she knows, yay!

Kalli was sitting in he room, completely unpacked after only a few days. Granted, she didn't own many things, just what she had in her backpack on the way over. Still, she was restless and she didn't know why. It could be that she felt like it was summer only a few days ago, and the weather suddenly turned cooler and smelled like winter. Or it could be the familiarity of her surroundings.

She was in another dorm room, in another school, attending more classes, stuck between feeling more human than a nymph. Kalli had to remind herself, school wasn't all that bad. After all, this wasn't really "school" in the traditional sense. Besides, she had made friends with a lot of people last time. Things would look up, it wouldn't be so bad having to spend a few hours inside each day.

Not to mention, she had seen a few familiar faces in the halls earlier. Kalli hadn't talked to them yet though. She needed to find her balance first and decide that she hadn't made a mistake in coming back to an academic setting. It's not that she didn't like attaining an education of sorts, it's just not what she was used to. Then again, change was good for the soul and maybe staying in one place for more than a week was what she needed right now. Who knew?

One thing was for sure, she needed to get out of her room. The air felt stale and she'd much prefer the cooler air outside in comparison to what was circulating in her room. Grabbing a pair of black boots and a black jacket, she tied her hair in a messy pony tail behind her neck and headed outside.

Kalli didn't have a lot of time to collect her thoughts before she encountered a messy head of hair ahead of her. That familiar smirk returned to her face when she threw all her weight behind her fist and hit the guys arm, "Xander?!"

If she were right, and she hoped she was if only to save herself the humiliation, then at least her little stint in academia would be an entertaining one.
