Who: Adam and Declan and an NPC
What: A bloody, awful fight
Where: The halls then Declan's office
When: Afternoon
Adam was not in a good mood. He was just wanting to do his classes and get them over with. It was the day before the full moon and with his already rampant teenage hormones he was just a toxic cocktail waiting to explode. After classes had let out, he was on his way back to whole up in his dorm and watch mind numbing tv or maybe some porn he'd swiped from his uncle. It was up in the air and the only thing he wanted to do really. Then some jerk off had to try and push his way around Adam, knocking him into the wall and had the balls to say 'Watch it fuck face.' Oh that was a bad move. Already wound up and irritable, he didn't really know what to do other than bash his face in! "Fuck you!" He yelled hurrying up and shoving the guy into the wall hard. Adam was pissed and wasn't going to take some bullshit a kid a few years older than him was gonna give him. A circle started to form around the younger students as a fight broke out.
Adam had no idea how to fight and was running on pure instinct. His was flinging his fists hard and because of full moon the next night, he was packing some punch. The other kid was holding his own though, until Adam just bit him! The kid had Adam pinned and was wailing on him till Adam growled and rolled and chomped down on his hand. There were some screams and security was already called. The bystanders just hoped they'd get there soon with the way Adam was fighting now. There was blood on the younger man's face as well as the guy who's hand looked like someone took a bite out of a hamburger. No skin was missing, just bite marks. Now on top, Adam just started to pummel him and didn't stop till he felt a pair of strong hands rip him away as he screamed and flailed trying to get back at the other kid the other students were picking up.
Declan had been making his rounds across the grounds, going through one of the hallways since classes had let out when the walkie talkie on his belt started chattering. Calling out a response, he started running to the location, following the cheers and screams of students. "Let me through!" His voice belted over the crowd, parting the way for him where he saw a young man with a bloodied face sitting on another student pummeling him.
Declan didn't bother wasting his breath. They wouldn't hear him anyways. Coming up behind the kid on top, he grabbed him in a chokehold, hauling him off the other boy. "Knock it off, ye two!" The dryad was not a happy camper.
Struggling against Declan, giving the older dryad a run for his money even, Adam growled, a low threatening one that didn't seem possible to come out of the teen, and glared at the other kid who looked like he might wet himself as he was pulled away by friends and rushed him to the infirmary, leaving the crowd with Adam and Declan.
As soon as the other wasn't leaving a trail of smells behind, Adam simmered down. It was almost like he was tolerating Declan's hold on him the way he was still tense in the other's arms, but no longer fighting him at least.
The moment Adam started struggling, Declan tightened his hold, putting pressure on the windpipe. If he couldn't breathe, he couldn't fight effectively. "Get him to the infirmary. Tell the healers he's on lockdown and I'll deal with him later." There was going to be a lot of paperwork to clean up this mess and a great amount of detentions to atone for it.
Glancing around at the rest of the crowd, he barked, "Clear out. Now!" Shaking the boy in his arms slightly, he ordered, "Calm down." He waited until the crowd disappeared (scared off by the occasional dirty looks from the Irishman) before letting him go. "Alright. Talk. Start with yer name."
Glaring at everyone that stopped to stare, Adam growled softly before he was let go. Turning on Declan, he merely just spit the blood in his mouth on the dryad. "Fuck you," he snarled. He wasn't making a move to fight him though, which was in the dryad's favor. Less work. Declan was bigger, stronger, and could more than likely woop Adam's ass in a fight. Then he turned to stalk off like that was it, there wasn't any talk or punishment. Just the fight being broken up.
Declan didn't bother flinching from Adam's immature display. Slowly raising a hand, he wiped the blood and spittle from his cheek. "You're an idiot," he muttered, rolling his eyes. Why did he get the lovely cases like this one? The moment Adam started walking away, Dec moved foward to catch him. One hand grasped his shoulder and the other caught his wrist, twisting it up between his shoulder blades. "Here's tha thing lad. If ye move, ye'll dislocate yer shoulder, aye? Now let's play nice and ye tell me yer name."
"Hey!" Adam cried as he was put in another hold. Struggling slightly, he yelped when he jerked too hard. Calming down he, growled softly, but stopped struggling. Taking a moment as his should throbbed a bit, he grumbled before finally doing as hew as told. "Adam Reznick," he huffed. It was the name he was registered under anyways. "There, I fuckin' said it," he grumbled. The teen was moody as hell and challenging authority was not his usual demeanor. Usually he was quite friendly and helpful, but again the full was the next night and he was a teenage lycan. Never a good combination.
Adam Reznick. Declan took a moment to flip through his mental file. Nephew to Jonathan Reznick, werelion, recent transfer. Came to the school to get himself under control and possibly to hide out. Sighing, Declan eased up on the hold a bit, but didn't release him. "I'm aware the full is tomorrow, but if ye think ye can control yerself, I'll let ye go. Ye can follow me ta the office or I can haul ye there." He waited patiently for Adam to choose.
"I don't give a fuck," Adam spat. He was already a slightly angry young man, everything else didn't help. "Hault me, toss me, follow, don't fuckin' care," he growled glaring at the ground. The only thing he wanted now was some meat and porn. God his hormones were gonna kill him. Meat and sex, two things he really wanted and right now couldn't get. Especially with that blood taste in his mouth. It didn't matter if it was from another person, supernatural, whatever. It was blood and his craving just got worse from it.
Declan could hazard a guess what was going through Adam's mind. Young lycan, recently turned, full moon the next night and a teenager to boot. "I've got a steak in me icebox. Ribeye. Keep yerself together long enough ta give me a statement and it's yours. Deal?" As a show of good faith, Declan released him and stepped back.
Swallowing as he heard the deal, he couldn't help but feel his mouth water at the promise of a good steak. "Deal," he said as he turned to face the other. One urge down, the other he could deal with later. He looked a mess. His own nose was bleeding and his hair was all tousled and eyes dilated a bit from the blood being spilled. The other kid's blood was smeared all over Adam's face and shirt, his knuckles busted up from punching so hard. He looked like a little wild man. "Whaddya wanna know?"
Declan crooked a hand, silently telling Adam to follow. "First we're going ta me office ta clean ye up. Second, ye're going ta tell me exactly what happened. Third, I'm going ta report it ta Charlie and figure out what ta do from there. Understand?" Trusting that the young man would follow, Declan headed outside and across the lawn to his office, holding open the door for Adam to take a seat.
"Yeah," Adam grunted as he followed the dryad. At this point, the only thing on his mind was that ribeye and playing nice to get it. Tomorrow he just wouldn't go anywhere, just hole up in his dorm so he didn't have to worry about doing this all over again. It was beginning to just be annoying. Stepping into the office, Adam waited for the dryad to step in. He didn't know where anything was and he doubted the other would keep the deal if he just started poking around.
Declan closed the door behind Adam. He could handle himself well enough with an inexperienced were. Digging into his desk drawer, he pulled out a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and a cloth. The towel was soaked and passed over to Adam. "Here. Use this ta clean yerself up." While Adam was doing that, Declan pulled out the paperwork he needed to fill out and a pen and waited. "Whenever ye're ready."
Taking the cloth, Adam sat down and cleaned himself up as best his could. The blood wiped away as he made a face at the smell and fumes before he put the rag back on the desk in a bare spot away from papers. "I don't know the guy, he just ran into me after class and shoved me calling me a 'fuck face.' I shoved him and we started to fight. We got punches in before he pinned me and then I bit his hand and turned on him. That was when you showed up," Adam said.
"Let me make a call real quick." Declan knew it wasn't professional, but he didn't know the other kid involved and wanted to make sure he could find him. Putting in a quick call to the ward, he spoke to a nurse who promised to watch the injured boy and hold him until Declan arrived.
Smiling apologetically, Declan gave a "Sorry about that." Declan made notes while Adam spoke, filling in the blanks on his paper. He'd end up typing it all later, but that was alright. "Alright. I'll be getting his statement later. Is there anything else ye'd like ta add?"
"No," Adam said shaking his head. That was it. Nothing else had happened to cause it or during it. "You showed up when I was on top of him," he said with a shrug. It wasn't a big deal to him now, but later when he was more himself it would be very much a big deal. Especially when his uncle found out he got detentions for fighting and what exactly happened during the fight.
Declan kept scratching the pen across the paper. "Alright then. List your injuries for me if ye would." He glanced up, smirking. "It's part of knowing who won the fight," he joked. After marking down what Adam listed, Declan leaned back in his chair. "After I talk to ta other lad, I'll be forwarding this ta Charlie. Ye'll both get a week's detention at least. Fighting in tha halls is not permitted in any circumstance."
The joke wasn't very funny, at least to Adam, he managed a small smile, though it was forced. "Whatever," he sighed, suppressing an eye roll. "You said something about a steak?" He asked, bringing that up before he mouthed off and ended up losing it. God that'd just piss him off again and end up with detention till his next birthday.
Declan nodded. "Aye, I did. I should also warn you that I'm going ta be contacting yer guardians ta inform him about today." Turning around to a mini fridge in his office, Declan pulled out a steak that he'd cooked to a perfect medium rare that morning for his lunch. So much for that. Turning back, he offered the foil-covered plate and a knife and fork to Adam. "One ribeye, as promised."
"Aw fuck," Adam groaned letting his head fall back and look up at the ceiling when Rez was mentioned. He'd either not care, ask if he won, or be pissed. He was thinking the first two were more likely. Smelling the steak, he perked up though. Nostrils flaring as he eyed the foil covered meal before taking it from Declan and putting it in his lap. Opening the foil, the fork and knife were forgotten as he just picked it up with his hands and started to tear into it hungrily. So much for table manners.
Declan arched a brow, watching Adam tear into the steak without so much as a thank you. Oh well. A deal was a deal. Waking up his computer, Declan quickly emailed both Adam's guardian and his sponsor then pulled up the digital form to start filling out. "Just so ye know, Saturday I want ye ta stop by me office again after lunch. I'll give ye Friday to recover from the full moon. We'll discuss yer detention then."
"Mmkay," Adam nodded as he devoured the steak with great prejudice. There were juiced all over and before he knew it the steak was gone and he was licking his lips and fingers and the plate. A slight burp was issued before Adam finished with the plate and set it back down on the desk for the dryad. "Thanks," he said, obviously calmer and more sated now. Not to the point where he wouldn't go off again, but to the point where he was able to handle things much easier.
Declan nodded. "Yer welcome. Do ye need another?" The dryad didn't have one handy, but he was willing to put in a call to the cafeteria and have them pull out a steak for the lycan. It was handy having a fully stocked kitchen on hand all the time when emergencies came up.
"Probably," Adam nodded. He'd be hungry later. He was always hungry right before the full. Then the day off all he did was sleep and growl at anyone who tried to bother him. Adam would tire himself out later. Sex and food, sex and food. That was his brain's main objective that day and he'd just gotten the first one, now to go back to his room and pig out and watch porn.
Declan nodded, then tore off a sticky note, scribbling on it before passing it over. "This is a note ta give to one of the ladies in the cafeteria. It'll get ye a steak for dinner tonight, provided ye behave yerself. Ye need ta work on that control, lad." Leaning back in his seat, Declan crossed his arms over his chest. "So what is it ye'll be working on the next few days?" He wanted Adam to repeat back what was expected of him, so that the dryad knew his directions were clearly understood.
Licking his lips again, he took the note with a nod. "Thanks," he said as he listened to the older man. "Control," he said looking up at the other. "I promise to control myself and not get in a fight with anyone else, okay?" He said like it wasn't a big deal. He had his note for steak, so he was going to hit that up on his way back to the dorms.
Declan nodded. "And ye'll come see me Saturday." Waving his hand, he dismissed Adam, trusting the lad to behave. "Until then, I'm going ta keep investigating this, see what I come up with."
"And I'll see you Saturday," Adam repeated before he got up. "You keep that up then," he said giving him a sarcastic smile and thumbs up before he was out of there. God he was hungry again.
