Cheesecake or eclairs? Or that delightful looking french fancy? Could he maybe steal a danish for later on or would the kitchen staff hate him? Penny would hate him for eating and getting crumbs near the novels in the back of the aisles. So maybe it'd be best to take something that wasn't messy or needed a bowl. Or maybe it would be better to just do something quick and easy but then he wanted to savour it.

Of course after two minutes of deliberating he was well aware that he was creating a delay and he had to shuffle up, apologising in his soft English voice and generally making a fuss of preventing people from choosing their puddings. After a moment's deliberation he grabbed one of each dish and stole them away to a nearby table. After paying of course.

Once settled he started on the creamiest of the lot and promptly got it all over his mouth. At least Blake had retained the etiquette.

Where: The library
When: Weds afternoon
What: Darwin has a job! Maybe

It had all been a whirlwind. At first he'd feared Blake would cast him out and now he was staying with his dear cousin until he had housing, he had apparently or potentially got himself a job and he was going to be settled here. At least that was the intention. It would probably be slightly unnerving for the first few weeks and then he'd be well on his way... maybe.

After being driven to the school and shown the library (Blake seemed oddly reluctant to escort him in or introduce him to his new boss) Darwin strolled in quietly, mindful of the rules. It was large and Darwin seemed impressed by the collections, stopping to browse a few books before he realised his purpose and strolled back through to the main desk where a very interesting, pretty woman was sitting.

"Hello there," he said, in his velvety English tone. "Forgive me if I'm being presumptuous but you must be Penny? I'm Darwin. Thank you very much for agreeing to take me on..." He extended a hand and beamed at her.

When: afternoon of the Wednesday
What: The prodigal cousin shows up.

The house that Darwin stood infront of was a little startling. When he’d heard his dear Cousin was in America he hadn’t expected him to be residing at yet another supernatural school let alone to have a house as grand as this. It was a little impressive, almost, that Blake had done so well for himself. He’d half anticipated an apartment, or a bungalow. Maybe a small townhouse with enchanted gnomes in the front garden. Little did he know that the house did not just shelter Blake but his other half, his other half’s childe, six Finnish children, their brother, Godric’s honorary brother, and the occasional daughter or friend.

He would soon be introduced to a shadow this, for when he knocked on the door he heard several voices, some speaking a language he’d last heard and understood many years ago. Eventually a familiar English voice greeted his ears asking someone to ‘go upstairs, please!’ and he steeled himself for what might be an awkward reunion.
