[Midday on Thursday, after a public manhunt that began when Samantha Alexander was kidnapped from a local Las Vegas mental hospital, police and federal agents track Ian Russell to a home outside of Las Vegas. Eyewitness reports indicate that one female, as yet unidentified, was found within the building, which was modified to resemble the inside of a mental facility. A statement by the local sheriff's department credits quick work and cooperation from friends and family for the retrieval of the young woman, who has been rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment. There is a federal warrant in effect for Ian Russell, who is still suspected to be in the area, on counts of kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault, aggravated physical assault, violation of a retraining order and aggravated stalking. The suspect is considered extremely dangerous. Anyone with information regarding the suspect's whereabouts is asked to contact authorities immediately.]

[After the news hits, once she knows Sam isn't with him any longer. She's maybe a little more drugged than she realizes and not completely thinking about what she's doing. [Thursday mid-afternoon, news filters through programming and radio and photos hit social media as the LVPD shut down a local park in response to an unprovoked attack on an individual by six men. The man is killed, one bystander who eye-witnesses said were close by, a woman who they remembered with a small child, is taken to hospital suffering from severe bodily harm. No others are harmed. LVPD response is quick but as news updates, an alert is issued as to the missing child who shaky camera-phone footage show as having been carried off as the men drive off in an unmarked car. Whilst no identifying information is released as to the dead victim, later in the day updates reveal the woman in hospital to be no longer critical. It is evening before the police issue a photo and a name, Beth Dean, thirteen months old. The car, plates caught in the shots on site, is identified later as abandoned to the south of the city.]
