[Some billionaire who apparently lives at the Wynn is throwing a ridiculously extravagant birthday party in the hotel on the 23rd of June, starting from 11am. It's all over social networking sites and it's big enough that most if not all of Las Vegas would have at least heard it from someone who might have heard it from someone else. All the available pools, nightclubs and restaurants have been booked, all the food and drinks are on the house, everyone and anyone is invited, and don't worry about the dress code - clothing is optional.]

[over the past few days, the weather in gotham city has taken a turn for the cool, and the news stations are picking up on it in earnest. the higher temperatures are giving way to the low eighties and mid-seventies, steadily decreasing in small increments for every few days. for the most part it's treated lightly, as some relief from the summer heat and humidity is never amiss, but other stations warn that this is not only unusual weather, but potentially unnatural: there have been no incoming cold fronts to this degree, and no other cities anywhere in the country, much less the area, are experiencing similar weather.]
