[Plot: Las Vegas]

[As the sun rises, everyone inside Passages feels a compulsion to return to wherever they belong, now that things outside have returned to normal. Mid-conversation, mid-sex, mid-terror, the guests of the hotel step away from what they’re doing, and leave it behind. The dead have disappeared, the ice has melted, the dragon is a person once more, and the Draugr are human again. Alters are lured back into their worlds, and Las Vegas residents are spat out into the halls of Passages and then led back to their homes.

Outside, Las Vegas is in shambles, but the public reaction is not as bad as it could be. The presence of superheroes in the world has given humanity hope and, as the fatality count is rather low, there is no National Guard sent to man the city. Instead, youtube clips become viral and news channels broadcast clips of the heroes saving the city over and over. The general belief is that these are mere men and women, taking on the mantle of the fictional characters they admire in order to deal with some biological terrorist attack on Las Vegas. There are no reports of these heroes harming anyone, and the reaction to them is entirely positive. Government officials promise to find the terrorist threat, and they commend the men and women who came to the aid of the citizens of Las Vegas. Repair efforts begin the following morning, and volunteers are requested throughout the county.

As for Passages, all damage to the hotel is repaired, but one key change remains. The triage center disappears, and in its place there are key-slots behind a old, wood lobby desk. There is nothing in the slots, but they are pristine and clean, giving the impression that something will be there eventually. The dusty halls are sconce-lit and quiet once more, and the day barely filters through the old windows. Everything, it seems, is as it should be once more.]

[News]

[The takeover of Caesars goes largely unnoticed in the advent of all the other chaos in Las Vegas. Or, it does, until Catwoman, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn hold a press conference and draw attention to the fact that they've seized the casino and hotel, while inviting Gotham to come play. Mind-controlled armed guards protect the entrances and prowl the casino floor, and the remaining employees are tied up in the hotel kitchen. Eager to get a look at characters from the popular Batman franchise, tourists drive hours to get to the hotel, and the queue to get in seems endless, despite the destruction in the city. Inside, the ladies hold court, in their own ways.]

[Tate's foray through the door unleashes a different kind of darkness on Las Vegas. Men, women and children, long since dead, wander the streets, the wounds that killed them visible and gore-raw. Some violent, some sad, they are all most certainly dead. Among them, the Dead Breakfast Club is out for vengeance, and Doctor Charles Montgomery wanders the street in a blood-stained medical coat, silver medical instruments in his hands and blood dripping from them as he seeks out someone to cut apart and sew back together. The living can wish these haunts away, but that isn't immediately obvious. And you can't kill the dead.]

[The video footage of Hulk destroying Las Vegas wars with the (It's a bird! It's a plane!) battle taking place with the dragon on local and national stations. The tower outside the Paris is destroyed, the fountain outside the Bellagio is obliterated, the Flamingo's entrance is gone, and the entire entrance plaza of the Venetian is smashed. News stations are urging residents to stay inside, to find ground level rooms without windows, and to take cover as the Hulk continues to make progress along the strip.]

[News]

[The ice comes from high above Las Vegas, though no one can pinpoint the actual location, as it seems to come from everywhere at once. The layer of ice is relatively thin, but it’s enough to freeze every car on the Strip in place. Every person behind the wheel or in the backseat of a cab is trapped within. On the sidewalks, ice covers tourists in cocoons of slick, wet cold, and the Strip hotels are blanketed in cold blue. Emergency vehicles, ill-equipped for ice, can’t drive over the slick surface. Old-fashioned tools and manpower seems to be the only hope for freeing those trapped, since it’ll take hours for the sun to rise and melt the unforgiving ice.]

[Plot: Las Vegas]

[It doesn’t happen all at once. Little by little, Alters that are in their Door Worlds are kicked back to the hallway of Passages on Thursday evening. They are kicked out of their Worlds as themselves, whole and with all of their natural abilities and states, weapons and clothing. Little by little, the doors in the hotel knit closed. Keys, if tried, won’t turn the locks. Breaking the doors down will have no effect. There are no Worlds there, nothing beyond the panels of wood, nothing that can be accessed - and no indication that the doors will ever open again. For characters not in their Door Worlds, nothing changes and, for them, life continues on under the false pretense of normalcy - with one exception: For the week, their Alters cannot control them. Even if they are still there, oddly present, the locking of the doors makes them powerless, almost nothing at all.]
