How do you lot manage to moderate yourselves when the holidays come around? Athos, Porthos, I think I may have to start selling my body to afford all of these Noel gifts. At least I've been assured by several on the island that I'm worth quite a lot of coin?

On the topic of Noel festivities, madame, I wonder if you had any preferences for how you'd like to celebrate? If you would allow it, I would like to be there for both Eve and Christmas morn - though I've been assured that we are also welcome to Christmas breakfast at the house of the older set.

I think if I post any more pictures of baby me to my instagram than I have already in the last twenty-four hours she's been alive, I'll thoroughly pass into 'vain' territory.

More importantly, I think that her existence legally obligates me to retire. It's time. I've had a good run.

We were in Disneyland for our anniversary and now I have no idea where my husband or my daughter are. :( Paging Connollys and Darcys and assorted adopted family. Please and thank you.

It looks like there will be a second wedding in our little family as well. Apparently, I have Aramis and Porthos to thank for helping Athos prepare? He did a wonderful job! No morgues included.

And our little girl has eyebrows now, according to the internet.

Holy crap.

I'm published. The first two pieces from my summer commission are out on the shelves as of this week. Companion pieces, both graphic novels. [Insert picture of the display at a Comic Shop Here]


It's crazy to buy them all, right?

I believe it's safe to announce at this point, because if I don't, Porthos will probably have the thing over and done with before I know it. After a great many years together, raising a son and building quite the family with two others that fit in well to our puzzle of madness and love, Porthos and I are getting married. Officially.

So far all we've decided is that it'll be quite the party on the beach. Likely sooner, rather than later, and you'll all be invited. But in the meantime, we accept congratulatory drinks, hugs and gifts. Also the planning of a joint enterrement de vie de garçon would be most welcome, before we put on the shackles.

I rather think I'll need to find employment, won't I. It seems there is no longer a monarchy in France, though I'm rather sure that a Queen from alternate centuries past wouldn't be entirely welcomed anyway.

I received a call today to confirm that they were able to match the Dauphine's blood to the pair of us. I am ecstatic to know that my daughter has both parents.

Sometimes it's great being a werewolf, and sometimes you smell another woman on the collar of your supposedly-true beau. He's in the rear view now, obviously, and I made Mom and Dad and Ezra watch Ten Things I Hate About You and eat ice cream last night, so I'm pretty much over it, so this is just sort of an FYI so you don't go "hey Cassie, how are things going with that guy you're seeing" and ruin my life.

I should have known. His name was Chad.



ANYWAY my project suggestion for an Amnesty International "Classic Monsters" walk got overruled in favor of a "zombie" walk, which I'm not going to be a part of because reasons, and I really hate the world. I'm officially a free agent in love, life, and walks, so someone needs to come up with something I can do for Halloween STAT.

I have a sexy toothbrush costume ready and rarin' to go.

It's taken an hour of instruction, but a heartfelt merci to the lovely woman that showed me how this contraption works. I left a gift on your desk as extra thanks.

It worked.

It's still too early for announcing it, but I got a positive blood test back Friday. I'd been getting them on store-bought tests for a few days, but the blood work came back to officially say so. It's only a few weeks -- they'll give me a more definite idea of a due date at the next appointment.

I can't be blamed for this, she followed me home.

I know we aren't technically Americans, but I like celebrating the holidays of the world/country we're in, so. Kil Dad gave me permission to throw a 4th of July celebration on his ship tomorrow night! I'm making a ton of food, snacks and desserts (and champagne??), and I'm going to decorate with blankets and pillows everywhere. We're going to sail out onto the water so we can watch the fireworks from the perfect spot.

So. Family, extended family, friends, Liam's boyfriend, anyone who wants to see the fireworks from an awesome place in Hawaii?

Sooooo, if I were to tell you guys I was entertaining the idea of taking my work on the road for a few weeks and joining a friend for some lectures at a few colleges for the summer? Ancient Egyptian stuff. You'd say....?
