Hello! This is probably coming out of left field a little, but my name is Alex Argent, and I'm in high school in New York City. I've recently decided to start concentrating on my academic future and while I'm not set yet, I think I'd like to go into law enforcement. I wasn't really thinking about the future so much back home, and now that there's no point in going hom I've decided to really put some effort into the SAT and whatnot, but I don't know where to go next.

So I guess this is my asking for your story so that I can figure out what I need to do. I'm hoping for an internship? Any tips or help you can give me would be much appreciated. My strengths are archery, hand to hand, really... any sort of physical combat although I wouldn't say I'm the best, but I enjoy it. I'm a pretty good planner and it takes a lot to shake me up.

Sooo, I don't start classes again until the 20th and I'm already so bored, it's sad. I mean, I'm working, but still. Anybody in NYC want to start a book club or something? I'm about to start reading The Atlantis Gene but it would be more fun if I had more people to talk about it with. It's nerdy, I know, but it's fiction! I promise not to push for anything too educational.

Okay, I mostly promise. An Underground Education is still one of the best books I've ever read. It's gross and hilarious and amazing.

If anyone in NYC is looking for a place to have Thanksgiving, I'm cooking dinner with a couple friends and there will be plenty of food for more. Technically, I'm doing the baking tonight, not the actual cooking, because I'll be delivering meals for GLWD tomorrow until about 1, but I have full faith that the food will be great. Edible at the very least!

You just have to be willing to spend a few hours in the company of a couple med students who are nearing the end of a semester and might be a little, um, stressed. I.E. The potential for drunk shenanigans is probably pretty high.

Canadians are also welcome. I guess.
