Allison and I have decided we're having a small stress free thanksgiving at our place. Our group only. Come early, come late... whatever fits into all the family gatherings I have all intentions of ignoring.

But if no one has any objections, I plan on inviting Pretty Eyes. None? Fantastic.

I already spoke to Erica and we're willing to have him at our Thanksgiving dinner, so long as he keeps away from the kids. But since you guys are our family and we invite you over every year, we want to make sure this is something you would be comfortable with before I broach it with Mom. Talk to any of the loved ones in your lives that you may bring over too, but your comfort comes first to me.

EDIT: Nevermind. Non-issue, he's not coming.

I was chasing a perp and I had him cornered, but he pulled a gun on me and I didn't think I wasn't thinking and all of a sudden he was knocked back against a wall and he's in the ICU. I think I did magic and now I'm suspended pending an investigation and I don't know what to do.

I keep having dreams and writing them down when I can. I'm not sure if they're memories or not, but they're all very strange.

I may finally watch the show.


But in the meantime, I want to hike today. Do any of you have suggestions for where?

She came right around lunch time, so she's clearly got some of her dad's prioritizing. And her mama is the most amazing woman on the planet.

Thank you to everyone who came to visit today. I'd actually warned the nurses ahead of time, but I'm sorry if they got a little grumpy with any of you. I'm not so sure they were used to having so many people visit.

Why can't he just stay dead? I need to get out of Hawaii for a few days and go to a place that isn't New York. Anyone want to visit LA?

Can I just preemptively start and sign the "I'm totally good as an orphan, no need to bring my parents here" petition? Just for the record, Portal Gods, since you've been on a TW parent kick. (Which has been great for those who got their parents here, so yay you!)

I have an appointment at UH for a tour on Wednesday, does anyone want to join me? 5:45 - 6:45.

I just booked a man who'd gotten so drunk he'd stripped off his clothes and climbed a tree. And who then insisted he wasn't drunk and offered references to prove his case. On the plus side, the dance routine he performed in an attempt to prove his sobriety was unlike anything I've ever seen before.

Alternatively, though, my eyes.

I could use a break, and I know I'm not alone in that. So, cookout on the beach this Saturday night? I'd say we could do a grill-off, but that wouldn't be fair to anyone else because I actually do make the best burgers on the planet. Wouldn't want to get your hopes up.

Anyone, everyone, come join me. I'd love to see some of our newbies, and some of the crews from around the rest of the world if they can swing transportation. Grill's on around 7:30pm. I'd appreciate some people bringing other things; I've got burgers covered.

And yes, I will be answering to Grillmaster Parrish rather than Deputy for the purposes of this 'fest.

Edited to add: Also, beach volleyball, in which I kick all your butts.

Hey, everyone. I know we've got a few new banshees in the mix, so I thought I'd let everyone know that there's a banshee focus group (doesn't that sound official?) to train, exchange notes, and drink too much coffee happening in Hawaii. I know we're from different universes and so everything won't be identical in terms of powers, but it can't hurt, and sometimes it's just good to vent.

We've also got a few non-banshees who have been trying to figure out a safer way to locate the dead bodies, so they're going to be in the mix.

I've been up to my eyeballs with work lately, but how does next Sunday evening work for a meeting time? Let me know.
