So, what's been going on in Blackpoint for the past seven months? In exchange, I can give you an update on Chicago 2164-2174.

I have begun the necessary paperwork to begin research anew and find my knowledge of this time has not atrophied for gap in years, since I last used it. However, it has felt dangerously akin to vacation, with far less Tuscan sun. I am neither rested nor engaged. This world certainly looks to have different avenues of research to explore than my own, and I shall do so. If you are in need of a collaborator, I am interested in hearing more.

So, to make up for my utter uselessness yesterday, I did some research! As usual, most of it is probably totally irrelevant (but super badass), but I know Drunk Kira mentioned some soul/firefly stuff to Scott the other night, so I thought I’d follow up.

Basically, I looked for fireflies in various legends and mythologies to see if anything stuck out as useful. Here’s what I found! ( cut for length, not filtered )

At least it's to the future this time, if that even explains how I was never born here yet still exist now (I would have thought the paradox of that would wipe anyone out of existence). Thrice is enough of the twentieth century. I could use a cup of tea or perhaps something stronger.
