Ophelia had spent her days working on the shop, and all of it had finally paid off. The paint was clean, the licenses were in, and the staff was ready. She had to admit, Scarlet Oak's only other tattoo parlor getting sacked by demons had worked out damn well in her favor. The date for the grand opening was set. She had put ads in the paper and even paid for some radio time, and she had spent a better part of the afternoon putting fliers around town. She'd left a ton in any bar or record store that would take them, and even put a few around campus. Now she was posting them at every damn lamp-post in town. It felt good to be doing something, even if sometimes she still couldn't believe... well, life in general. The gates were opened, and the world had changed drastically. It was still to be determined if it was for the better or not. Probably not.

She was ignoring the glare of a little old lady at the crosswalk as she posted a flier above the walk button when she felt a little kick in the back of her brain. Not literally, of course, though to be honest that probably wouldn't have surprised her much. What she felt was her power kicking in. Her spidey-sense for the people that have been continually shat on for a large portion of their life. An outcast.

This, of course, was not surprising either. The sense kicked in so many times a day that - usually - no one else could even tell she'd just experienced something at all. A lot of times there would just be a buzzing in the back of her head, something that got louder the closer she got to the person. Sometimes, the kick would be a little more violent. Actually painful as she was overwhelmed with a person's feelings and memories, or the knowledge that they needed help right the hell now and yes it was an emergency. This wasn't like that. One of Hers was just coming into range. Simple as that. So as Ophelia worked, she kept an eye out for them, looking to see who it would be.

Bunny had been doing a lot of thinking in the days following her talk with Locke. Apparently, her parents weren't the only ones worried about her anymore. This was not good. And something had to be done.

She had eventually decided she was just going to have to fake it. She couldn't stop feeling the way she did, but she could hide it. Sure, why not? Not like she had any better ideas. She hated the thought that she was a monster, and that Theo had left her because she was a monster, but if she truly was a monster? Well, that wasn't going to magically get better. Maybe her parents were right, maybe she did need therapy, but the idea still made Bunny extremely uneasy. Faking it was the way to go. She'd figure out the rest along the way.

All day, she'd been attempting to act more 'normal'. Bunny was forcing herself to get back in the habit of her old routines. The rain would stop soon, the full moon was tomorrow, and she'd go to that little were festival they were throwing - even if she wasn't looking forward to it. Capture the flag was the only thing that sounded like any fun, and she simply was too small in animal form to be of any use - unless she used her hybrid form. She hadn't since she had killed that man, and she refused to take it again. She wasn't ready for that. She'd go and watch anyway, because it would make her parents feel better. Fine. She could do that. She sat in her bedroom, music cranked up as she fiddled with one of her cameras. She could do this. She could make everybody think she was normal.
