Make a brand new ground tonight Who: Cole and Locke Where: Locke's place When: Late morning
"Rain rain go away..." Cole was singing to himself as he skated up to Locke's place, jumping the stairs and bending down to scoop the thing up and set it next to the door. Not all parents were all for having a wet board in the house. His own mom put up with it because she knew that he was going to do it whether she said it was okay or not. But the last thing that he wanted to do was upset a parent not his own so yeah. Tugging his hood down off of his head he ruffled his hair in hopes that it was still behaving itself at least a little bit. Leaning over he caught the reflection off the nearest window and set about fixing his hair before pressing the doorbell. Hopefully Locke answered it, not his mom. There was nothing wrong with his mom, yeah, but still - he was here to see the other boy and play some games. Spend some time outside of his house and away from people who were reacting to the rain like it was some awesome thing instead of a total bummer that was taking away from his skate time.
Bouncing up on his heels, Cole took back up with the childhood nursery rhyme that he had needed to learn at school since Lilith had not taught it to him. Maybe if he sang it out a few times then he could get it out before he went inside and faced Locke. Because, well, it was a kid rhyme and the last thing he wanted to do was show up soaked half through and singing something that a five-year-old would. Yeah, there was a way to get mocked for the rest of forever, pretty much. Plus Locke was one of the cuter guys at school who had never taken any sort of shot at him for what he worse or how he acted so not humiliating himself was way up there on the 'important' list. "And no," he told himself as his fingers twitched towards his pocket. "We are not smoking here, maybe on the way home to bother mom." Whole purpose of that was to bother his mom and it would serve no purpose here past making Locke think of him as some sort of ashtray.
...at least he had worn his own body spray today instead of sneaking Niamh's.
