If anything is worth being grounded for...
Who: Cole and Locke
Where: Phonelines → Amelia’s
When: Night
Cole had had a pretty good day. It was not all that often that he went and spent time with just Niamh, but Riverfest had been the perfect place to do that since she was a water elemental and all. Yeah there had been the snide remarks and looks but he was used to those. The only one who they seemed to bother anymore was his mother. And Lilith was not exactly bothered so much as she was just... cold about it. He was still waiting for the day that someone went a step too far around her and ended up frozen to the ground for their troubles. And that was not a comfortable place to be in. He would know. Sighing, he stretched out on his bed, staring at his cell phone. Locke had said that he could call anytime. He wanted to. There were things he felt needed to be talked about, even if he was unsure what exactly he was going to say. Cole was just a little nervous about actually calling because Locke had a lot on his plate. The whole funeral and all. Which Cole was going to. Yeah he was dragging his mom with him, but who could blame him? It was his first funeral. And I’m calling him.
Rolling over onto his stomach, Cole punched in Locke’s number and waited. When he heard the click on the other end his heart gave a little jump that was repeated by his lamp. Good thing it did not break this time. “Hey Locke, it’s, uh, me. S’up?”
Locke should have been out at Riverfest with the rest of them. Or maybe even go to Jillian’s birthday party. Locke opted not to go to either and just stayed in his new room all night, curled up with a book. It was much safer that way. Amelia had the place warded along with her super soakers filled with holy water. He had nothing to worry about... for now. The wake was tomorrow and that simply couldn’t get out of his mind. It was open to everyone and Locke didn’t have a single idea as to how many people would show up. Or who would. Sighing, Locke flipped another page of Catch-22 and only got a paragraph in when his cellphone started ringing. Normally he would have ignored it, but when he glanced over to it and saw Cole’s name light up across it, he immediately placed his book to the side and grabbed it. To hear the blue-haired boy’s voice made him smile. This was what he needed to cheer up. “Hey, not much. Was just curled up in bed reading. What about you? Everything doing alright?”
Had Cole known that his voice was making Locke smile then he would have grinned even more than just having Locke talk to him already did. “I just finished another video game, spent today at Riverfest with Niamh. Pretty cool this year, awesome cupcakes.” Because that was totally the most important part of the day. Getting ice cream spilled on his feet by some snickering guy was not. No one needed to know about that. “Wanted to give you a call and see how you were doing.” Had he not been on his cell phone, if it had been one of those ones with a cord, he would have been twisting it around his fingers by now just so that he had something to do with it. Get a bit of the tension out that was currently manifesting by levitating his lamp. He reached over and grabbed the lamp to slam it back down on the desk. “But I guess everything’s okay, just feeling a little... something. Wanted to hear your voice is all.” Oh my god, if anyone heard him say that then he would be harassed forever for sounding like a girl.
Sadly, awesome cupcakes weren’t enough for Locke to get out of the house and check out Riverfest. Locke didn’t consider himself anti-social, but he liked it better when he was alone. No one got hurt that way. Tomorrow was going to suck if a lot of people were there. “Glad you had fun.” Really, he was. Cole deserved to get out and enjoy the festival. Everyone did for that matter. Locke would just stay inside with his books. Part of him was glad that this conversation was over the phone, seeing that Locke frowned slightly at that thought. The other part was glad because now he was blushing upon hearing that all Cole wanted was to hear his voice. That brought a shy smile back onto his lips. “...really? That’s sweet of you.” Now he was sounding like a girl, too. “I hope my voice is doing an ok job for you right now.” Had they been in person, he could have sang for Cole and all would be well. No one could deny the soothing voice of a phoenix.
“Can’t go to Riverfest and not enjoy yourself.” Unless maybe you were a fire elemental? But then you should just straight up not go because the fact that there was water involved was included right in the title. Only an idiot would not have realized that Riverfest - duh - took place on a river and involved lots of things that centered on the water. “And yeah, your voice is totally doing it.” What? It was! Knowing that Locke still wanted to talk to him, was more than happy to for that matter, made the blue-haired boy grin. And release his hold on the lamp that soared up to the ceiling so that he could tug at a piece of his hair. “Everything’s sorta confusing, y’know? But I can like, forget about that when you’re talking.” Had he known that Locke sang then he would have been all over that. Although he still sort of wanted to find the bird that had given him the feather the other day in the park. Nothing had been quite as soothing as that bird’s song. Cuddling with Locke all night came pretty close. Rolling over again onto his back, Cole stared up at the ceiling. He needed to get a poster up there. “Kinda wish you were here.” That was mumbled, he was not actually sure he had even said it.
Locke wasn’t entirely afraid of water, but the rain did bother him. Though Cole didn’t know about that. Actually, no one did. He couldn’t pass for a fire elemental, considering his age, or a were, seeing that his best friend could easily call him out on that. Locke was just doubly screwed. Though he was happy Cole enjoyed himself.... minus the being confused part. Locke wanted to ask what was wrong, but he had an inkling that maybe it had something to do with that heated make-out session he and the blue-haired boy had that one night. Locke still ran his tongue over his lips now and then to recall the moment. That was one memory he didn’t want to forget. He blushed at Cole’s words, finding his own words completely gone for a moment. “...I... I wish I was there, too,” he admitted quietly. “Don’t have much to say, but I’d at least give you a hug. That counts for something, right?”
Cole wanted him there and Locke wanted to be there. So why was he not there? Okay, so he had not thought of that option but it was there now. Letting go of his hair he continued to stare at that spot on the ceiling that had no special significance whatsoever past just sort of being there. Seriously, that space needed a poster. He was thinking something of Tony Hawk or maybe even Bob Burnquist. “A hug would count for so much more than like, anything else that’s around right now.” It was true! Currently all that he had in his room was him, video games, his computer, TV... a bunch of non-living things. He was going to need to ask his mom for a puppy or something since he had no hope of a familiar turning up to be all friendly with. “Maybe you should come over. Or vice-versa. Or something.” He shrugged. Cole knew what was happening tomorrow and maybe just seeing a friendly face would help. Or he was just being selfish.
That made Locke smile. The whole hug mattering part. Good to know he could at least do something right in the world. As for meeting up with Cole? Oh, who was he kidding, he wanted to see him again, too. I really shouldn’t go out. I’ll just breakdown. The wake was tomorrow and everything, but a distraction would have been nice. Can’t wallow in your misery forever. “...um... do you... want to come over here? It’s just me here tonight, so the company would be nice. Wouldn’t have anyone bothering us.” He didn’t mean that in some creepy way, either. He meant that they could curl up on the couch downstairs and not worry about a parent walking in and interrupting the moment. Locke liked that. He doubted Amelia would judge him either way, but she wasn’t around at the moment. He could easily give Cole the address and then they could hang out. Sadly, there was no Wii or Xbox at Amelia’s place. A lot of Locke’s things weren’t there. Hopefully Cole wouldn’t mind.
Being invited over was awesome in Cole’s books. More than awesome. It was tipping the scale right up there at ‘epic’ and before another thought had flown through his head he was already off the bed and reaching for his hat. Because he had yet to get out of his clothes for the day and the hat really completed the ensemble. “Yeah, I’d love to come over and hang.” He was already slipping into his shoes and heading for the window. Why the window? Because there was a tree outside. And because if he went down the stairs and out the doors chances were roughly one hundred percent higher that his mother would catch him. Or his father. Either way there would be trouble. He was under no illusions that he would get away with this completely but at least he was going to try and it was hardly the first time he had climbed out. “Okay, so tell me where I’m going and I will be there soon as I can.” Because he was skateboarding. Better than a bike in his opinion.
Locke seriously wouldn’t have been surprised if Cole suddenly obtained cold feet and backed out of it, but to hear him agree? That made the phoenix all sorts giddy. Cole was coming over... and no one would bother him. Chewing at his lip, Locke tried to collect his thoughts until Cole asked for the address. He was still shy about opening up and telling people that he was crashing at the principal’s house, so instead of referring it to ‘Amelia’s place,’ he gave the address of her home. Simple enough. And the whole house was warded and protected, so they didn’t have to worry about demons or burglars or anything. “I’ll see you soon then?” Locke was already slipping off his bed and adjusting his attire before making his way downstairs to the living room. He had to look somewhat decent for the guy. Yeah, not trying to impress him at all... right.
Had Cole known that Locke was staying with the principal of their high school then he might have had second thoughts. Just because it was Amelia Ridgeway and that was their principal and... it would just be a little weird for him, that was all. “Yep, soon.” And his phone went in his pocket before he managed to drop it and run it over with his board. That had only needed to happen two times before he finally caught onto how bad of an idea it was to talk or text while riding. Currently he was just thinking about what he was supposed to say when he showed up, though he was drawing complete blanks when he reached the address he had been given. And his shirt was sticking to his back because it was still too warm out, great. Brushing his hair back he kicked his board up and set it beside the door before knocking, hands going into his pockets while he waited for Locke to answer.
The radio silence that Locke had to submerge himself in once he was off the phone with Cole was borderline painful. He too didn’t know what to expect and Locke was definitely not the type of guy to pin Cole to the wall the second he came in and start making out. He had way more tact and class than that. Waiting for the blue-haired boy, Locke rested on one of the couches while he waited, playing with a tiny ball of harmless fire to occupy his mind. Somewhere in his head swimming around was the fact that Cole was still dating Bunny. That burned. A lot. But Cole wasn’t sneaking out of his house to meet Bunny. No, it was to see him. By then, there was a knock at the door and Locke had to push those thoughts to the back of his mind for now. Dismissing the fire, he quickly went to the door and opened it up to spot Cole there. That alone brought a smile to his lips. “Hey, come on in.”
Look, he could get a smile out of Locke just by being there. Seeing the blond boy smile caused an answering one on Cole's and he raised one hand out of his pocket to give a sort of wave. Realizing how dumb that looked he immediately acted like he had been reaching up to fix his hair instead. "Hey," he returned before stepping in, glancing around to take the new place in. Definitely different but there was a roof and it was warm so that meant Locke was being taken care of. Good. Even if it sort of looked like the place where an older person would live with no hints of a teenager. "Not a bad place, couch looks comfy." Because that was where he had decided he was going to sit as of... now. Elbows on his knees he propped his chin in his hands and looked up at Locke, still grinning despite the butterflies that were trying to take up residence in his stomach. "I could get soooo grounded for this. Mom's paranoid." For Lilith. Anyone who did not know her would see no change, but her kids had grown up with her and knew her ever-so-subtle moods. "I say worth it."
Once Cole was in and apparently snuggling into the nearby couch, Locke closed the door and joined him, plopping down on the same couch. Part of him felt bad over the thought that Cole could potentially get grounded for this. Locke had always been the good kid and never broke rules like that. Then again, he grew up in very different times. Though hearing it was worth it? That was enough to wash the worries away. Cole didn’t really seem like the type of kid who would give a crap. “I think all moms are paranoid,” Locke pointed out. Even Penelope had be cautious of where Locke went, even if it was to the house nextdoor to visit Bunny. He liked to think that coming to visit him was better than a lot of other things a teen could be doing at this hour. “But... I’m glad you think it’s worth it. Was just hanging out by myself tonight.” His green eyes flicked over to Cole as he smiled a bit. “The company is much appreciated.”
"And all dads say that it's just because they love you," Cole tossed in, having been over this one... more times than he could remember, really. Although his mom did not worry like other moms and for that he was occasionally grateful. Now when he came home and found something precious frozen solid because that was how Lilith worked... then he was the opposite of grateful. He wished that he had been born a water elemental just so that he could figure out how to go and reverse that. Telekinesis never helped with unfreezing things. He would know, he had tried. "You know I'm always up for hanging and keeping company." Even before that whole thing that still had his mind trying to bounce out of his skull. Flicking a piece of hair back he tried to sound casual as he declared, "You know, I've been thinking." And talking with my mother. "And as, like, terrible as it sounds... I like you more than Bunny."
...what? Did he just say that? Not that it was a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination, but... holy shit, really? Locke just sat there in silence for a moment, trying to take that all in - Cole liked him more than Bunny. This was coming from Cole, not someone else spreading a rumor. He likes me. All sorts of butterflies were throwing a party in his stomach while he blushed hard. Oh god... where did he even begin? Words, why were they difficult? Locke blinked for a moment before looking away shyly, smiling to himself. “...really? You mean that?” His green eyes looked back over to Cole, searching for an answer. He really hoped Cole meant that and wasn’t making this up to make him feel better before the wake. His heart raced out of control while waiting for Cole to respond to the question. And they were alone. Wow, that didn’t help the mood at all. And Cole was in snuggling radius and- Shut up, brain.
Look at that, he had managed to make Locke blush without even doing anything other than admit that yeah, he liked the guy. More than he did the girl that he was actually going out with. Or is it pretending to go out with? I think it probably counts more as pretending since we haven't even kissed. Yet he had had a full on make-out session with Locke without even meaning to and oh god, he could not think about that right now or else he was going to be tempted to lean in and kiss him yet again. What's so wrong with that? "I totally mean it, Locke," Cole confirmed, having to clear his throat to manage to get his words past the lump that had managed to form in his throat. "It's just all confusing and you know... confusing." Awkward. No matter how he dressed and acted Cole had still been half-trying to convince himself that he could pass for straight. It was looking like that was less and less true every single day. His current desire to curl up on top of Locke to see if kissing him was as good on a couch as in his bed was not really helping.
Confusing he could understand. Locke had many bouts of his own confusion when a certain gay bartender flirted with him back on the west coast. It wasn’t a matter of what felt right for him or not, because it always did feel right, but more along the lines of if it was acceptable. And if it wasn’t, then why not? If people cared about each other, what was the harm done in that? Being a teenager and going through all of that didn’t help either. Locke wished he could tell Cole that things would get better with time, but he didn’t even believe that himself anymore. “It’s ok. To be confused, that is.” He paused, bit at his lip, then went on with the shy words. “As is liking me. That’s ok, too. I don’t mind.” He scooted in a little closer to Cole, wanting to wrap his arms around him for a hug, but he resisted the urge for now. “You know I’m here if you need to talk.” That was why Cole called him in the first place, right? Locke wasn’t sure how much help he would be, but he would definitely try, that was for sure. Anything for the guy that made his heart beat faster.
Well now Cole had figured that Locke would not have a problem with him liking him. Hello, he very clearly remembered a make-out session a few nights back that he was pretty sure had been started by the other boy. Granted his memory was a little fuzzy about how exactly everything had gone and the order that it had happened in, but he was still pretty sure that he was right about that part. “Then you’re okay with all of this.” It was not really a question even though it sort of was. Cole was just glad that Locke was not upset or telling him that he had to figure things out or any of that. And that he was not upset with him for admitting it despite the part where yes, he was technically dating Bunny. Technically. And Locke had moved closer so maybe that meant... brushing back a piece of hair, Cole shifted so that he was leaning against Locke. Again he just smelled good, like he had just been baking cinnamon rolls or something. Cole was a fan of the scent and wished that he could bottle it. “I told my mom and... she wasn’t bothered. Like at all. She doesn’t mind. It made me feel better about...” Things. Things he was not sure if he had words for.
“Yeah, of course I am,” Locke nodded, his words gentle. Why would he ever be upset about someone liking him, regardless of their sex? There was that part of him that was scared of letting anyone too close to the point that they became involved with his own problems, but Locke tried so hard not to think about that. Cole was a good distraction from the whole ‘I don’t want to live anymore’ dilemma. Well, Cole was a good everything, not just a distraction. And when he leaned into the phoenix, Locke didn’t hesitate to wrap an arm around him. He found himself smiling a bit when he found out Lilith didn’t mind at all. Some modern parents were weird when it came to their kids and who they liked. He was glad there was a mature one in the town. “I’m not bothered either. I think it would take a lot to get me bothered, actually.” Locke could get worried just like anyone else, but the phoenix was never flat out enraged over anything. He looked over to Cole, idly stroking the side of his arm. This was nice. Locke definitely needed this right now.
See, all of this was something that Cole just thought was probably too good to be true. Any moment now he would open his eyes and be back in his bed, having fallen asleep while trying to beat another game or flipping through his latest sports magazine. Except this felt real. Locke felt real when he wrapped his arm around him and he smelled real enough. Did Locke smell like cinnamon in his dreams? Oh my god, do I dream about Locke?? That was not a matter to think about here though, so Cole shooed those thoughts away and focused in on what was currently happening. And that was this with Locke. A little moment where they were curled up together on a couch, Locke knew that he liked him and did not seem to mind even a little bit... it was a good night. Could get better. Again with the oh my god directed at myself, do I have no control? The answer was likely a firm ‘no’ because hey, Cole was a teenage boy who happened to have a crush on the blond he was curled up against. “So if I kissed you that wouldn’t bother you either.” Because he really sort of wanted to find out if the other night was just a one-time thing.
He wondered what was going on in the blue-haired boy’s mind during the brief bout of silence. Then again, he was certain he would regret asking for the gift of telepathy. That would have only given him larger headaches at the end of the day. Though Locke didn’t expect Cole to bring up kissing again. Weren’t teenagers suppose to... oh screw it, what did Locke know? He felt like the old geezer in a teenager’s body. He could try all he wanted, but trying to understand modern teenagers was beyond him. So when Cole brought that up, he just blushed. That was the answer to everything, right? Locke didn’t part his eyes from Cole, his green eyes flickering with some sort of inner fire as she smiled softly. “No, I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t.” If anything, he was all for making out. Cole did have amazingly soft lips. He did recall that at least.
Teenagers were really supposed to do whatever they wanted because this was practically the only age when they could get away with it and blame it on not knowing any better. When they became adults everything went and changed and suddenly there were responsibilities and duties and... adults could get in trouble for things so much easier. Cole could do this now, have figured things out, and the only person who could really get upset at him for it was Bunny since his mom had accepted it. And really, if Bunny had a problem then he could just figure out the best way to explain it. ’He smells like cinnamon and has gorgeous eyes and have you ever kissed him? Oh my god..’ Okay, maybe he needed to think about that at a time when he was not being looked at and given what essentially amounted to permission to kiss him. There was not really anything to say to that so Cole just grinned, amazed at his ability to keep from giggling like a girl, and leaned in to do exactly that. Yeah, okay, so he could used to this.
Locke didn’t expect Cole to rush in once he was given permission to try out the kissing thing again. The boy could take as much time as he needed. Locke had lost all concept of time years ago, so no point in trying to keep track of it now. And when he finally did ease in for a kiss, Locke remained relaxed, taking in the moment and kept still. It didn’t seem like Cole pulled back and apologized and regretted everything or something. That was a good enough clue for him. That hand that had been stroking Cole’s arm slid down further and wrapped around his waist, keeping him close by. Not a tight hold, letting him break away if needed, but Locke enjoyed the closeness. And he returned the kiss, lips soft and gentle as they brushed over Cole’s. Funny how something as simple as a kiss dulled out all the other things in life, like the wake the following day.
See, this was nice. It was simple and easy and there was not anything to worry about past the fact that he was kissing Locke and getting kissed back in return. And it felt just as good as it had last time. Or maybe even a little better since it was the second time and he knew that Locke enjoyed it too. And his mind was not kicking in with concerns about what other people might say because his mom had already made it clear that she did not see anything wrong with it. So long as it was okay with Lilith there was not much that anyone else could say to upset him. Shifting he felt himself moving closer to Locke because that just seemed like the thing to do. Especially since he thought that maybe this was good for the other boy too. Maybe it could take his mind off everything that was wrong. If Cole could help him out with that then kissing Locke had even more upsides than it had only a moment before.
Kisses always had a strange way of making everything else in life vanish. The wake and funeral didn’t ping in Locke’s mind and all that he could focus on was a certain blue-haired boy that was nuzzling right up to him and demanding kisses. And kisses were exactly what Cole got. What started off innocent and gentle slowly burned into something more passionate. Locke’s hand kept tracing Cole’s back, teasing the hem of his shirt. In his mind, the real world didn’t exist around them. They were floating on a cloud, away from all the miseries of life. Amelia could have walked in on them and he wouldn’t have cared. And to think he had been crushing on Cole for what felt like forever and he never thought they would be curled up on a couch with their lips locked onto each others. An approving coo slipped past Locke’s lips and vibrated against the other boys with no intentions of stopping soon. Why do that when the two of them were clearly enjoying themselves?
See, why had he not figured out that this was what he wanted before he decided that dating Bunny was just the best idea ever? His mother was far from upset about it, Locke seemed to like the kisses and surely Bunny would understand... no, Cole could hardly let himself worry about that now. All he could wrap his mind around was the fact that Locke’s lips were pressed to his and they felt amazing there. And his hand against his back... Cole could have stayed there for the rest of forever. He did not even think about the fact that he had snuck out of his house and that he should have told his mother that he was leaving or that someone else could walk in and see him all tangled up with Locke like this. All that mattered was staying like this. Oh, and reaching up to touch Locke’s hair again because it felt so smooth under his fingers, twined in-between them. Tugging playfully at Locke’s lower lip Cole opened his eyes so that he could see the other boy’s face. Flashes were going off in his head of this and that and he knew that the memories belonged not to him, but to Locke. Not fair that they’d try and get in the way of this moment. Times like these - well this was the first real time it was happening - were not to be spoiled. Only thing that could get in the way was breathing. Even that wasn’t terribly important.
Had Locke known that he was giving images to Cole, he might have been more cautious, but it was quite evident that neither of them wanted to be separated at that point. Staying like this he could do. Cole didn’t have to ask, because the feeling was mutual on Locke’s behalf. He pulled the psychic boy in closer as he leaned back, giving him plenty of room to slip into his lap if he wished. It was in that moment that Locke broke the kiss gently, lips inches away, and stared into Cole’s eyes. “You know,” his voice trembled as he forced the words out, “I feel like I’ve been waiting for this to happen since... I can’t even remember when.” Locke nuzzled into Cole’s face and purred, “I’ve always liked you, Cole.” He wasn’t fishing for a response, but he felt the need to get it out of his system. They were already making out on the couch, so why not? Then again, feelings were always complicated as a teenager. Locke might have lived enough lives to know better, but each time he had to relive this, he only found himself struggling all over again. At least Cole only had to deal with this once in his life.
A broken kiss was far from what Cole wanted, but being given the option to slide into the blonde’s lap was enough to make up for that and it took hardly a moment for him to take advantage of it. Felt good to be in his lap, too. And then... “Really?” Cole asked, eyes wide with surprise that he could do not a thing to hide. Something nearby went spinning and he winced at the thump. Though at least it had not been a crash so hopefully nothing had broken. Though if that was not an indicator of what he felt then he had no idea of what was. “I’ve always thought you have the prettiest eyes,” Cole confessed, bumping his nose against Locke’s. And. “I didn’t think you’d even go that way. Like, not at all. I know everyone says that about me no matter what I say, but you? Please! I think half the girls in school go all dreamy-eyed at you. And you’re kissing me.” He would have needed to pinch himself to make sure he was not dreaming if he had not already been out riding his board. Cole leaned in to take another one of those kisses, even going so far as to suck on Locke’s lip when he pulled back. “Sure you haven’t hit your head recently?”
He thinks my eyes are pretty. He swore that he suddenly burst into flames and melted right on the spot, because how else would he describe the feeling that was overwhelming him right then and there? If he could hide in a box forever, he would have, but it was hard to do that with Cole on top of him gushing out all of these feelings. Locke kept on blushing, only to grow redder with each extra word tacked on, like he was trying to see how deep the color would get. It was hard enough driving it into his head that Cole liked him in some way, let alone that girls were actually fawning over him. Locke kept his distance from most social interactions at school, so he figured his lone wolf approach on life was enough to drive the ladies away. It didn’t matter in the end, because he had his eyes on Cole. While he remained quiet for most of the time, he did chuckle upon hearing the last question. “No, I’m pretty sure I’ve had no head trauma lately.” Once his amusement died off, he brought a hand up to sweep Cole’s hair out of his face and then rested the hand against his cheek. “I’ve always thought it was silly to have your feelings exclusive to just one gender. It doesn’t matter to me if you’re a guy or a girl. You’re you, and that’s what I like.” Locke nuzzled back into Cole’s face and purred gently, “What I’ve always liked.”
Smiling, Cole shifted so that he could rest his cheek on Locke’s shoulder. It felt good to just be here like this with no worries. Just happy because Cole liked him and wanted him to be there. “I’m glad you like me,” he returned, reaching up to toy with a piece of Locke’s hair. Pretty eyes, soft hair, an extremely comfortable lap... yeah, Cole was happy here. And he was not even thinking of how this went directly against his whole ‘date Bunny’ thing. Once again he convinced himself that he would just think about that later. No way he was going to get any sort of good thinking done right now. Only place his brain was focused was on Locke. “Glad I came over to see you. We should...” Now his cheeks had turned pink. “Do this more.”
If there was more blood flowing to his brain, then maybe the whole Cole dating Bunny thing would have popped up in his logic mind and thus he would have brought it up. Oh, the things cute boys in his lap did to him. Locke was content with being numb to the rest of the world and focus on now. Normally he wouldn’t, but holy crap, he had been waiting for this forever or something close to it. “Glad you came over, too. You know you’re more than welcomed to come over whenever you what.” They didn’t even have to have make out sessions all the time... though that would have been a nice perk. The pink glow on Cole’s cheeks made Locke smile and he leaned in to kiss them. “I’m all for that if you are.” They could figure everything else out later. The details didn’t matter, just the fact the two of them were completely smitten with one another.
