OMG - clothes! Who: Cole and Darklis Where: Darklis' CLOSET OF WONDER house When: Afternoon
There was a closet - multiple closets - to be explored and the fact that Cole had not exploded through Darklis' front door the moment that he had discovered this fact was a testament to his patience. Or more like he had just been distracted by other things and the idea of possibly freaking Darklis out, if she was even capable of being freaked out by someone like him, had made him behave himself for a whole little bit... and now he was done behaving. Now he had skateboarded over to the address he had been given at something approaching the speed of light - hey, he was allowed to think that he could go that fast if he wanted to - and was tapping a rhythym out against his leg while he debated whether or not he should have called first. If he should have called first then he was going to find himself in some sort of trouble because he very obviously had not. Darklis had not said that it was totally necessary that he tell her when he was coming. She had given him permission to come over and check her clothes out when he wanted. There had been no time limits involved and had she not claimed that she never needed to sleep? If that was true then he should be able to swing by at anytime and find the vampire there. Unless she was out getting something to eat, doing more shopping, getting lynched by the local vamp-haters because they had figured out that she was the new high schooler they were flashing about on the news... Cole so did not get that. So she was a vampire who was way older than everyone else; big deal. She was still cool.
Anyone who let Cole have access to their clothing was cool.
Bouncing up on his toes, fingers tangled in his necklace, Cole grabbed his phone with his free hand. Okay, so he should at least make sure that Darklis was there. And if she was not then he was going to be the saddest person on the planet. No, no one could be sadder than him no matter what had happened. Their puppy could have been run over and Cole would have maintained that his day was worse because he was denied access to the closet of a vampire who was older than his mom. She had to have some seriously retro things in there. Scrolling through his contacts he found the right name, hit 'send' and put the phone to his ear. The instant he heard a click on the other side - before a 'hello' could even be given - he was talking. "Darklis! My most favorite vampire in the whole world, please tell me you're home. Pleeeeaaaase. I'll ask you how orientation went later, though judging by the news... betcha don't want to talk about it. Clothes are better."
