Your little boy's all grown up
Who: Cole and Lilith
Where: The hotel
When: Morning
Finding his mother was never all that hard if they were away from home. If she was not out running errands or something then she was going to be around some source of water. At home there were a ton of options at that point, but at the hotel there were pretty much two. The bathtub in her room - a no, his parents room had been empty - and the pool or hot tub. So Cole pulled on his rarely used swim trunks, slipped into a pair of flip-flops, and headed down to see if he could find her. There was an important thing to tell her after all and he had to make sure to do it before Isolde or Niamh did. He knew his sisters well enough to know that them finding out was likely to end with her finding out and where was the fun in a surprise if you were not even there to see the reaction? And one of the big points to even getting a girlfriend was to point out to people that yes he could do that, so what? And Bunny was pretty! ...right? Definitely when he helped with her make-up.
And sure enough Lilith was at the pool. "Hey mom," Cole said as he walked up, setting on the edge of the pool with his feet dangling in. Unless it became necessary he was not going all the way in. The water was not his domain. The most interest he had in the pool was if he could drain it and use it for skateboarding. But he was pretty sure that if he tried that at home then he would end up with a room that belonged in the Artic Circle. And probably a closet cleaned out of all the best clothes. Including the few shirts he had managed to take off of Niamh without her taking them back at some point or another. "You'll never be able to guess what I did last night." That was sort of sad, really, that he knew it was true that unless she had followed him or something she never would be able to guess what he had done. Except for maybe the part where he had gone to the mall because he was pretty sure that he had told her or his dad that he was probably going to end up there at some point.
