Who: Aurora and Barnabas
Where: Scarlet Oak Library
When: Afternoon
Barnabas had finally begun to recover from his encounter with the demon. It had taken time and help from his wife and, miracle of all miracles, his
son, but he had gotten there. 'Coming back' to himself to find that Dashiell was there had been enough to move the man to tears that he hadn't felt the need to hide. He'd faced up to his emotions a long time ago and while he was normally the level-headed one of the family there were times when he broke down. He thought that finding all of his children again and learning that they all were safe could be one of those moments.
Haven't seen Amaya and Caelia. Technically they weren't even his but he'd helped raised them from when he'd married Diana and considered them as much. A fact which Amaya seemed more accepted of than Caelia last time he'd checked.
"Don't worry," he told himself, ruffling his hair as he climbed out of the taxi in front of the Scarlet Oak library. Diana had decided to dedicate the day to the gods, feeling nostalgic for home, and Barnabas had decided he wanted to see what Scarlet Oak had to offer since his children enjoyed it so. Plus he had gotten through to the twins, or Aurora since Aetheria was apparently somewhere separate from her twin, and the one had agreed to meet him at the library. He was a little apprehensive about the idea of Aurora going out on her own. Last he'd known she would barely leave Aetheria's side and it was odd to think of the two alone. They always just seemed to go together. "Growing up," Barnabas reminded himself as he started to look around for that familiar face, his thoughts brushing against minds to see if they belonged to his daughter. Minds were easier to trust than faces because he'd have sworn he had seen all of his children dozens of times over the years but no, copy-cats who didn't deserve to look like that. Diana had always agreed... once the storm that came along with her grief faded, usually.
