How many pairs of teeth do you have? Who: Cole and Niamh Where: Landers home When: Afternoon
That movie... that movie. Could that be called a movie even? Cole was sat staring at his screen, completely slack-jawed, staring at the credits as they rolled and still staring when they stopped. The only thing that got him to stop staring and move - at lightning fast speed actually - was when the title screen returned. He made a strangled noise and, completely forgetting that he had a remote right there on the bed with him he went flying across the room, crashing into the television as he pressed at the power button. He leaned his forehead against the blank screen for a moment before he began to beat his head against it, slow and repetitive. A few loose, light objects on his desk began to shake and levitate off, one pencil spinning off the window, as he started a mantra in his head of how that could not possibly be true. No one in their right mind would think that that was true. No, it could not be. Impossible. Beyond impossible! If that was true then he would have heard about it in health class... or from his friends... or his mother. If that movie was based off reality then his mother or father would have needed to have the decency to tell him about it. He was a good kid and why would they want to let him go out into that dark and frightening world without enlightening him?
...for that matter, if it was true, then how had his mother ever gotten pregnant? How did any women? Did they just sort of... no, there were the sex ed videos and none of them said that condoms needed to be made out of some sort of epic steel or other metal to protect against the evils of... Cole shuddered, refusing to even think about it. Only he could not stop. He needed to know the answer. The internet was not trustworthy. His friends were sooo the opposite of the people he needed to ask, if only because most of them were girls. In fact most of the people he tended to get along with were girls. Catching a book out of air as it went hurtling past, Cole tossed it back and forth as he tried to think of who he could ask who would give him an honest answer. Who would even know the answer for that matter. His mother? Hell no! Oh. Oh, oh, oh, oh he knew! Climbing to his feet Cole all but ran to his door, flung it open, and ran down the hall. Normally he would have taken the time to knock or at least announce his presence, but not today. Today he was disturbed and it was too urgent for little things like courtesy. If Niamh wanted to tattle to their mother later then she was free too.
"Niamh!" Cole tugged at the ends of his hair and deposited himself on the end of her bed for just a moment before hopping back to his feet to pace, paying no attention whatsoever to where Niamh was or what she was doing. She was in there somewhere. Reaching up to rearrange his hat Cole once again flopped on the bed and gave his sister a pointed look. "How many sets of teeth do you have?"
