Kai wasn't just having a bit of a day - she was having a bit of a week. With all the random shit that was thrown her way, the poor psychic's nerves were completely shot. Even banging on her drum kit wasn't helping out any. Therefore, there was really only one thing left for the girl to do - drink herself into oblivion. She could have called any of her friends to drag them along and go drinking with them, but she doubted any of them would want to hear her vent about her best friend mysteriously coming back to life, finding out said friend was now a vampire, then finding out the next day that her blood was deemed an ultimate high for vampires, and then completely fuck up the porn shop due to her powers going haywire for absolutely no reason. Life was awesome, how was your day?

No, Kai just decided to skip out on blurting all that crap to someone and decided to hit up the nearest bar and be the poor sap that was drinking alone. Who the hell did that these days? Well, apparently Kai did. Dressed in what she deemed her finest, she walked on into Anywhere But Here and immediately bolted to the bar. Bouncing up onto one of the stools, she heaved out a massive sigh before calling out loudly to the bartender, "I got ten bucks on me to blow on some Jack, so gimme as much as you can." The bartender simply gave her an odd look before fixing her drink together. Kai, in the meantime, just removed her glasses and let the clunk onto the counter top while she rubbed her face. "Fuck my liiiiiiife...."

Other than finding her way to her home, Via had barely a chance to tour the city she'd just recently moved to. She'd seen some of the city from the drive in, but for the last week or so she'd spent every waking hour in her new home, unpacking, speaking on the phone to conduct some business back in New York, and just plain avoiding the outside world. When she'd finally gotten a call from Liliya she was ready to get up and out of this house. It was so large and lonely that she was anxious to get out and at least meet the member of the family who was coming to meet her to show her to the city. Today she wore a vintage floral dress with a flower pendant, floral earrings, white peep-toe heels and a white clutch. The evening was a cool one but it would be nice enough for her to go out in this nice outfit. As she made sure she was presentable she heard the knock on the door and she made her way over to the door.

So last night was not Mael's best. In fact, it probably ranked pretty high up the bad list, even higher than the demon attack because he had been saved then. This time, however, there was no lucky break with a witch coming to help him and protect him from the monster attack him. Hedda had gotten away with touching him...and feeding off of him. He just hoped his blood gave her some form of negative side effect like...temporary insanity from visions. Or something. She would deserve it.

Or at least this would have been his train of thought had he even been conscious at the time. As it was, Mael's body was lying face down on the back porch of his home. He was out of danger for the most part...it wasn't like Hedda intended on killing him, she was just playing with her food. And so it was, the morning after, Mael cheek against the wood of the porch and not quite dead.
