So apparently Tayne lived pretty close to Madock, now. He pulled up the dirt road to the little house the kid was staying at, his were-creature books on the seat next to him, and looked around. Yep, not far from his house, at all, and yet, it was a good thing he'd called Madock ahead of time, or he'd never have found the place. He killed the engine, pulled the books up and under one arm, and started over towards the front door to knock.

Then again, maybe Madock wouldn't have his charm on, and would hear him coming, so he didn't have to knock. Lucky kid, living way out here. No cars or power lines to keep him up at night....

Her sister's arrival had set Charlene on such edge that she had overlooked her customary habits of dress and pulled on a sweater and a pair of leather pants she had for one reason and one reason only - going out in the rain -, not minding the fact that she had also needed to pull out an umbrella that looked like it was older than her to keep most of her body dry. It made walking a little more difficult, having that distinct separation between her legs but she was hardly aware at all of any strange looks she might have drawn for how she moved. She was used to getting looked at like she was something different - because I am, she felt amused at her own thought, shaking her head as she walked the streets of Scarlet Oak. This day would've been so much easier if I just stayed in the river.

Glancing around to see where she was, she found that the nearest building that actually looked appealing was something called 'The Mudhouse'. Peering through the window she saw that it was a coffeehouse and her eyes lit up. Maybe it would be nice to stop there, not to mention getting in out of the rain before she forced herself to return to the river and her sister. As inferior as humans must be, they still seemed to have good ideas occasionally.

Ducking inside, Charlene shook out her umbrella before closing it, drying her hands on a napkin when she reached the counter. In response to the person behind the counter's questioning she picked the pen off of the register and scribbled on a different napkin 'Cappuccino'. The mermaid had never had that before, but she had heard several people order it the last time she was in a coffeehouse so it had to be good, right? She dug some crumpled bills out of her bag to pay and accepted the steaming mug, turning to survey the room for a likely place to sit while she drank.

Several heads turned as the music blasted in the distance, and even more heads turned when they realized it wasn't some ghetto sports car peeling around the corner, but an ambulance. At least the other EMTs knew when Roxy was on shift. It was her turn to be driving the ambulance, and that meant she had full control of the radio station. Windows were rolled down, bass was thumping, and the poor EMT newbie that sat in the passenger seat was completely mortified. Roxy, on the other hand sped along the road and banged her head on and off to the guitar riff. Such an amazing song, how could she not?

She had texted Quentin before going on her shift and agreed to meet up with him for coffee. The 1-9pm shift sucked, seeing she didn't really have much of a morning or evening to do something, thus creating far more appeal for the 5pm break. Upon arriving at the coffee shop, she pulled up to the curb and spotted Quentin in the distance. Perfect timing! Poking her head out the window, Roxy flailed her arm at him with a giddy smile, then looked on over to the newbie. "Break for like, thirty or so and we'll meet back here?" After the two agreed, Roxy killed the engine, rolled up the windows, and hopped on out. The new girl had decided to go down the block for some food, which left Roxy alone with Quentin.

After grabbing her black tote bag, Roxy hopped on out of the ambulance and locked it up. She wasn't dressed for the occasion at all, still wearing her paramedic uniform, but at least she looked cute with her make-up all done up and her pink and black hair pulled back into a sleek ponytail. "Hey you!" Roxy made her way on over to Quentin, spreading her arms open in hopes for a hug. "What's up?"

It had been three days since Amina had showed up on Ty's doorstep and two days she had spent looking for a job. She didn't mind it though, she wanted to help out Ty while she was staying with him. It was the least she could do for him. Places to work in Scarlet Oak turned out to be pretty scarce, especially since it was summer and all the high school students had snapped up the jobs.

The day she had bumped into Chloe, Amina had noticed a sign in the window of a bakery across the street and decided that she'd start there today. Covering up the black eye as best she could, Amina put on the best clothes she had brought along, which weren't very great, and headed out. A small black umbrella clutched in her hand, she made her way toward the bakery.

"Hello?" she announced, shaking the rain from her umbrella just outside the door before wrapping it up and entering.

Lizzy had gotten up early. Anora was twittering on her window, a little perturbed that it was raining, not that it bother Lizzy much. Now that she was awake, she was going to do something. Make her morning mildly productive. Reading sounded like a good idea. And she had a new romance novel her mother had just finished. And it looked pretty good. Lizzy was a sucker for these kinds of books and it was a trilogy. Which made it all the better in her eyes. So she got dressed, ready for work and headed to Starbucks, looking to just read for a while.

After ordering her drink, she was ready to pull the book out of her bag and curling up in one of the comfy looking chairs when she caught a glimpse of someone familiar. "Patrick?" she said, moving a step closer to him and smiled. "Hey!"

Feeling extremely light over the events of the past weekend, Sloane bounced around the halls of the high school shooing any students she seen loitering around the halls back to class. She had a free period and decided maybe she'd go for a walk. Her work load wasn't that big right now and so she had finished grading everything earlier than planned and was at a loss for anything else to do.

Try as she might to stay away from the general area of the gym, her feet seemed to have a mind of there own and took her there anyway. Little buggers, she was at school and this was no time to get red and giggly.

Before leaving for the shopping trip, Bunny's mother had given her a list of do's and don'ts, ensuring the fact that Bunny would be leaving with a dress she hated. Oh well. It was still the first real social teenage-like outing she'd had since things had gone to hell, and she was going to try to enjoy herself, dammit. She would have voted shopping districts rather than the mall, but the mall was quicker.

"So where do we want to head first?" Bunny asked, once inside as she jumped up and down to try and shake off some of the rain water. Yes, it got her weird looks; no, she did not care.
