Amelia felt certain she should feel pain. Instead she was in a bit of a daze. When she tried to think of yesterday she remembered very little. She remembered getting to the hospital and prepping for surgery. She remembered, vaguely, being moved to her room, but she had slept most of the day. And she was thankful for that. She was thankful for a whole lot, actually, and she could only imagine it was thanks to the drugs. How else could she possibly feel anything but miserable under these circumstances? Granted, she was alive and hopefully would remain that way, so that was certainly something to be thankful for.

WEATHER: Yesterday’s light rain is today’s full-on storm. No outdoor activities today.

EVENTS: Try-outs for SOHS’ football team are canceled due to rain, but scheduled to resume tomorrow.

Funspot, a local arcade/rec center is having a grand opening of their new laser tag wing. They’re also running a weeklong promotion, a last hurrah of summer. During the daytime kids and teens are getting double arcade tokens or 10% a round of laser tag, and after ten PM is the adults-only skate at the roller rink. Tonight is 80s night! Half off drinks to those dressed appropriately. How better to spend the night than drunken roller skating?

On second thought, this could end badly…
