Who: Dante, Tad and Erin
What: Replacing Erin's lost friend
Where: Erin's room, then hallways
When: Sunday Afternoon
Rating: R for swearing

For once, Dante felt as though he were doing the right thing and he was pleased with himself. He'd found Erin a new rat (well technically it was a mouse, but who kept track?), had gotten Wesley to get any and all diseases off it, had given it a bath (much to the rat's chagrin, and Roger would need a new toothbrush) and put it in a little box. He had debated putting a bow on it, but that seemed a bit much. Besides, he didn't want to seem too sappy. But it was a brilliant plan, and Erin was gonna cream herself over it.

Mouse in a box, box in hand, Tad at his side, Dante strolled to Erin's room. "She's gonna be psyched," he informed Tad confidently. "Especially since I think her rats are stupid. So giving her one is gonna blow her mind."

Dante was crazy, or just really weird. )

Saturday April 12th

Who: Erin & Dante
When: Late afternoon/evening
Where: The city
What: Erin takes Dante to the OPERA.
Rating: NSFW, if you scroll down! LOL

Erin had agreed to retrieve Dante this time, but that was only because she wanted to surprise him with the tuxedo she had rented for him as early as possible. The giant sized suit was still in the plastic it had come from in the shop. She carried it over one shoulder and traipsed through the halls looking like a boutique mannequin. The gown she wore was not quite plain, but not overly complicated, and it suited her dark, dark hair and vampire skin shade rather well. Certain now that her appearance would be appreciated -- if not by Dante, at least by others -- because she was picking the destination, she had girl'd herself up. Her tresses were coiled behind her head Grecian style, a few breezy curls falling through, against her collarbone and face. She wore more makeup than their last date, again, certain it would be appreciate by someone and had lined chilly gray eyes in dark purples and kohl, playing up the narrowness of them. Her lips were a smooth, shiny berry, and her cheeks, dusted with color to maintain a semblance of human palor, were a feminine rosy tinge.

The get-up clashed with the smug expression on her features that appeared when the door opened. She whirled the tux around to her front, eyebrows arching high. "Oh hello. Put this on."

If everyone in the hallway wanted to see him in his underwear, they could help themselves to the view. )

Who: Roger and Dante
What: Nightmare
Where: Roger's Room
When: Middle of the night
Rating: R for language

It had been a good dream, but now it seemed it was over. Roger's eyes fluttered open, an angry grunt coming from deep in his chest. Someone was shaking him awake, and for half a second he thought maybe it was Wesley with some kind of emergency. Or maybe it was Wesley waking him for sex. Either way, he was up. Sitting up, he saw a shape in the dark- a massive, imposing shape. And then he remembered that he was in his room at the school and it wasn't Wesley waking him up, but Dante. Roger flopped back down onto his pillows. "The fuck do you want?" he grumbled, not a person who was pleasant when he was woken up.

Standing at the side of Roger's bed, Dante had his hands clasped behind his back, bare feet shuffling on the tiled floor. )

Who: Dante and Tad (with Ciri)
Where: Campus grounds
When: afternoonish
What: Fight!

Tad asked Ciri if he could come along with her and Onyx on one of her walks because he needed the space. Spending time with Roger on Friday had been so wonderful, but Dante hadn't liked that at all. Now Tad was positive that he had lost his friend because Dante hated the elemental and it was awful. His attempt to get more friends had backfired, so now he had none really. He and Ciri walked outside, the latter holding the bundled up baby close to her and he said that he was going to walk the other way. Time to himself was necessary and right now he wanted to get rid of the hurt somehow.

He moved a fair distance away from her, discovering a good open area to practice on and he let go. Stretching an arm out to the ground, he made a small crater. There were a few good rocks to break and he focused on those, causing one after the other to explode. Stupid Dante. Why couldn't Tad make friends? Was he going to rely on Ciri and Calvin to make friends for him for the rest of his life? Why did it hurt so much? He wanted to make things better, more than anything. His anger made him lash out at the next rock and then he kicked at the pieces.

Who: Open to all students staying here!
Where: The underground room
When: Evening.
What: Party!

The underground room was transformed into a beach setting, the walls bespelled to show the image of a stretch of sand with waves lapping onto it. A bamboo leaf rug covered the ground halfway, leaving a decent space for a dance floor. Torches stood next to the walls every five feet, and towards the back of the room stood refreshment tables. Rather, the bar, which was important. The rock that covered the entrance to the room would glow as someone approached it, to let them know they had arrived at the right place.

Fake palm trees, and a fire pit with magical fire roasting meat, as well as a small fountain (because they were always neat) were some of the final touches to the party area. The music was loud, necessary for a party, and was something to which anyone could dance. Jacob stood in the middle of the room and inspected his work, pleased with himself. Putting together this for the party was a decent distraction and at least other people would enjoy his work, so it was not going to waste. For the theme of a luau party, he wore black swimming trunks and an unbuttoned blue shirt. Floral patterns of any kind were a definite no. He wasn't sure about not drinking during the party, because everyone else would, and he was the co-host after all. He'd have to see how the evening went.

Who: Erin & Dante
Where: Movie theaters
When: Afternoon
What: A...date?

The very first thought to make it's way through the thick curtain of sleep that lay over Erin was: Auuuuuuuurghh. As she dragged herself out of bed, her limbs protesting, her brain -- much more awake than her legs -- went into overdrive. What an idiot. What the hell had she been talking about last night? It had been much to late to hold a conversation. It was ridiculous of her. She had been ridiculous. As she padded her way into the bathroom, holding her tote bag of supplies, snippets of Dante's voice over the phone.

`` You make me act like an idiot. ``

The only person she thought acting like an idiot had been her. His mannerisms and playful jabs were indicative of his experience and "age." While he appeared to be an older man (older than Roger, which she actually very much liked), he .. wasn't. He wasn't a child, not really, because though he lacked experienced he had understanding of how various relationships among sentient creatures worked, but he was...young.

Which worked for her.

She returned to the room wearing her robe. The light scent of Japanese perfume followed her; she had lotioned and scented up there, and was letting it absorb into her skin as she moved. Her hair had been blowdried and was now hanging softly down her back, without much shape. It was too cold out to bother with a curling iron. She'd just pin it away from her face and call it a day.

She fished in the robe pocket for her keys. Ugh. She wanted her own bathroom next semester.

Damn, I missed the show. )

Weds April 2nd

Who: Wes, Dante and Roger
Where: Wes' apartment
When: Evening of the 2nd
What: Dante and Wes need to talk, seeing as they haven't since he returned...
Rating: R for language.

Wes was watching TV but not really concentrating on it. The people were talking, words were spewing, but none of them made sense. Roger was bringing Dante over and while it might be a good idea for the long run, the healer hadn't meant to let it slip that he was sort of upset with Dante. The alter hadn't even given him the time of day since he'd arrived back; everyone was getting their visits, but Dante hadn't said one word to him. It was weird; Wes did hate the fact that he was back despite him crying over the possibility of him leaving those few weeks before. Things had changed since then, though. Now it was as if someone had gone "here, have a physical representation of how you've failed Roger".

The front door was open, ready for Roger and co to come in when they were there. The healer wasn't sure whether he should be preparing anything for dinner, or generally attempting to make anything at all - tea, coffee... shit, now he had heartburn. His nerves were getting the better of him and if they didn't turn up soon he'd lock them out. Or leave. He hadn't decided yet.

This was a bad idea. I knew this was a bad idea, I shouldn't have been been here when you turned up.. )

Who: Dante and Tad
What: Saying hello to his best friend
Where: The Kelley's Apartment
When: Wednesday Afternoon
Rating: R for Dante

Dante was nervous. He was nervous because Tad was the only person who knew everything about this operation he'd planned, was the only person in on all the details Dante could give. He was nervous because the last time he'd seen the kid, Tad had run off from him and hadn't looked back. He knew that Tad would be angry with him, might slam the door in his face and never want to speak to him again. He couldn't blame him if he did.

Wiping his palms on his jeans, Dante stood in front of the Kelley's apartment door, nervousness almost choking him. If he'd needed to breathe, he wouldn't have been able to. Finally he pounded hard on the door, tempted to bolt as soon as he did. Fidgeting, Dante waited for someone to answer the door. It seemed like ages before someone did, and when the knob was finally turned, he jumped. Standing his ground, he expected to see Ciri's smiling face behind the door. Instead, it was Tad. He looked taller, coming up to Dante's new massive shoulders. The kid was growing into his body well. He almost looked grown up. For a minute Dante simply stared at him, suprised. He didn't know what to say.

Who: Dante and Lloyd
What: Returning a marker (and other things)
Where: Lloyd's Office
When: Wednesday late morning
Rating: R for Dante

Since he had nothing to do, and he wasn't ready to see Roger yet, Dante was wandering throughout the school sneakily. Security really was a joke around here. Although, in fairness, there were over 200 students here so keeping track of every single one of them must have been damn near impossible. Plus he had seen that Garret guy at least once, and all he'd gotten was a funny look before he kept walking. Maybe Garret assumed Dante was Nox's secret gay lover. That idea made the man smirk. Anything to give Nox a hard time Dante was in favor of.

Still in yesterday's clothes, the elemental/golem discovered a stolen marker still in his pocket. Lloyd's marker. Obviously, Lloyd was next on the list. Striding easily, his body cooperating for the moment, Dante was soon standing in front of the demon's office door. The doorknob was still a little skewed from when he'd broken in last night. Grabbing the knob, Dante expected it to be locked, and was quite suprised when it turned easily and suddenly he was stumbling into the office, looking up at Lloyd's familiar (and suprised) face.

Who: Dante, Roger and Wesley
What: Coming face to face
Where: Wes' apartment
When: Wednesday Night
Rating: R for language

This was going to be the hardest moment of his very short solitary life. It was evening, the light from the day just dying over the horizon. Dante had walked to the apartment complex, hesitating at the door for ten minutes before he'd gotten up the nerve to knock. He could hear the sounds of Family Guy coming from the living room. Shit, that meant Roger and Wesley were in there. Too late now, he'd already knocked.

You. )

Who: Dante and Erin
What: Saying Hello
Where: Hallway in fron ot Erin's room, then the grounds
When: Tuesday night
Rating: R for language

After leaving Nox's apartment, Dante had broken into Lloyd's office because he knew where it was and knew that Lloyd would forgive him for the intrusion. Besides, all he needed was a marker. He wasn't even gonna keep it. So after the break in Dante made his way to the girls' dorms, trying to look like he fit in but he didn't. Far from it. He was actually nervous and he couldn't even convince himself that he wasn't. Little sparks kept falling from his fingertips. He hated that he couldn't control his abilities as well as he used to. He didn't want Erin to see him weak. But he had to see her. He'd just disappeared last time and he didn't expect to ever see her again, but he had to come back. And if Roger told him to go, then he needed to go and never come back. So before Roger could potentially banish him, there were people he needed to see.

Rounding the corner to the wing Erin lived in, Dante spotted a dark haired beauty making her way down the hall coming toward him. It was her. He stopped, staring, heart leaping into his throat. Shit, oh fuck. He wasn't ready for this. His shirt was a wrinkled mess from being stuffed carelessly into a leather bag, his jeans dusty and wearing thin. Although he'd showered at Nox's place, he still had a five o'clock shadow. But he needed to relax, because if she saw him nervous he'd never live it down. If she even wanted to see him ever again. Leaning against the wall, Dante folded his arms, putting that cocky smirk on his face. "Hey, sexy," he said coyly.

You look less slutty than normal. )

Who: Nox and Dante (and a bit from Garret)
What: First meeting, again
Where: Nox's Office
When: Tuesday Evening
Rating: R for language

Garret was not in the mood for this crap. He had rounds to do and papers to write out and what he did not need was some obnoxious guy making demands at him. How in the hell had this guy gotten in here, anyway? Security around the perimeter was pretty tight. Whatever. It didn't matter. The point was, some obnoxious prick was demanding to see Nox (or "The Real Director", as the guy said) and he wasn't gonna go away until Garret took him there. So with a huff and a sigh, Garret grabbed the guy's arm and dragged him off. Not that the guy was putting up any kind of resistance, but he didn't want him stealign anything. Garret was a pretty good reader of people, and this guy had "petty thief" written all over his face.

Knocking sharply and letting himself in anyway, Garret pulled the strange man into Nox's office. )

Who: Dante and Erin
What: Early Morning Invasion
Where: Erin's Bed
When: 4am
Rating: PG 13 (plus cursing)

After not sleeping at Wesley's place, Dante had run home. Running cleared his mind, soothed his muscles, got the blood flowing and woke him up. The sun hadn't even come up yet when he was out on the street, sneakers pounding the pavement, mind comfortably numb. At Wesley's he'd been thinking about Wesley, and now that Wes was behind him his mind was back on everything else. Life, and the potential thereof. Death, and the same. Erin. Roger. Nox. Leaving, running, fighting, giving in.

He was at the gates to the school before he was ready to be. Stopping, panting, bent at the waist and hands on his knees, he contemplated where to go now. His room to sleep? No. Sleep gave Roger the chance to take over, and Dante needed his time. Cafeteria? No. Wasn't hungry. Erin's room? Dante furrowed his brow. Where the hell had that thought come from? Still...

Dante walked through the empty hallways, through the corridors, past familiar doors in the girls' dorms, stopping in front of Erin's. He pulled his Swiss army knife from his pocket, stuck the blade in the keyhole and focused vibrations through his arm, shaking the knob until the tumblers in the lock moved, letting the knife turn slowly. Aside from a little rattling, the operation was soundless. The half demon slipped into the room, shutting the door quietly. He'd broken into a thousand places a thousand times, moved silent as a ghost.

Erin was asleep, hair sprawled over the pillow, head turned to face the wall, blankets draped perfectly across her. Her slender frame was perfectly outlined beneath them, her pajamas adorable. Dante smiled a little, crawling into the bed beside her (shoes kicked off first, since they were damp and dirty). She felt suprisingly warm. Arm propping up his head, he watched her a minute, playing with the ends of her hair.

Who: Dante and Wesley
What: Late Night Meeting
Where: Wes' Apartment
When: Very Late
Rating: TBD

Between the hours Roger needed and the hours Dante was taking, the shared body was in desperate need of rest. But Dante couldn't sleep anyway, didn't want to. His last hours were coming to a close, he could feel it, the cold grip of fear squeezing his heart. His pig headedness had assured him that this plan would work, of course it would. But as the time drew nearer, even though he didn't know exactly when, it was becoming clearer to him that this was the end of days.

He needed to run. Talking to Erin had upset the nerves and he was a jumble of anger and fear and overexcited electricity, a bad bad mix. So strapping on his shoes he took off out of his room, out onto the grounds, onto the street, down the road. At first he didn't know where he was going, but eventually it became obvious. Wesley.

The vampire answered the door, which was hardly a suprise since it was late. Shit, how late was it? Godric looked the half demon up and down, a small frown on his face. Obviously he knew what he was dealing with. "I'm not sure I want to let you in," he said tonelessly.

Dante sighed, shrugging. The guy wasn't wrong in his hesitation, but the demon wasn't interested in causing problems. "I just need him," he offered. The statement was genuine, and Godric seemed to realize it, because he stepped aside. Dante went right to Wes' room, standing outside the door, heart pounding. Softly, he knocked.

Monday February 18th 2008

Who: Dante and Erin
What: First Date
Where: Downtown
When: 9pm
Rating: R for Swearing

So this was what it came to. A real date with a real girl that Dante had absolutely no interest or intent to sleep with. That was a first. Dante was never particular about who he slept with, didn't matter much so long as she had a vagina and he could get off. But now... he didn't want to. He didn't want to cheapen Erin like that, didn't want to marr his memory of her, of the icy girl who refused to fuck him because she had standards. He could hardly believe what a real person he seemed to be, yet he didn't have his own physicality. Maybe that would change, maybe not. But he had to try.

Dante didn't get nervous. So tonight, even though his hands kept shaking as he buttoned up his shirt and slipped the tie over his head (because he didn't fucking know how to do them, so he'd left a post-it for Roger asking him to), and even though he kept shooting little bolts of electricity whenever he touched anything remotely conductive, he was convinced he wasn't nervous. Thankfully Roger had decent clothing to choose from, because nothing Dante had bought was good for a date. After an hour of frustrated grunting and tossing things aside, he settled on a simple sage green shirt and dark blue jeans with a thin, dark brown tie.

After pacing a moment in front of Erin's door, he finally knocked, wishing he could take it back. Fuck. This was such a bad, bad idea. But he played it cool when the door opened, running a hand through his smooth tresses. "Nice outfit," he said casually. "You look less slutty than normal."

Thanks. You look less like a jobless vagabond. )

Who: Nox and Dante
What: An unknown goodbye (unknown to one of them at least)
Where: Nox's Office
When: Monday Afternoon
Rating: PG-13

Like just before committing suicide, Dante wanted to have things in order. No loose ends, no one left unchecked, no lingering wonders.Of course it looked like damn suspicious behavior, and who the hell would think that Dante had just up and decided to be sociable? But the truth of the matter was Dante was giving up, letting go. He and Roger couldn't share a life, not even if either of them wanted to, and neither one did. So if if Dante couldn't seperate from Roger, he would still be shutting down, letting the wave of defeat wash over him. He'd fought every day of his life and he was losing, and losing big time.

Nox had a new office (something he'd remembered only after trekking all the way to the old director's office and seeing Dr. Hope O'Shea's name on the door), and Dante actually knocked before entering it. Not that he waited for permission to enter, but he'd knocked just the same. Nox was in there, doing boring papers like he normally was doing. Dante sat in the chair opposite him, grabbing a pen off the desk to occupy himself with while he waited. While his demeanor was its usual cool self, his heart was hammering a mile a minute. This might be the very last time he ever aid eyes on Nox.

Who: Tad and Dante
What: Breakfast
Where: In town
When: Tuesday Morning
Rating: TBD

Last night... and then ugh, this morning. There really was no sleep for the wicked. Dante felt like he hadn't shut his eyes in days, maybe weeks. Every day as a neverending span of the unknown, waiting, horrible anticipation. Dante wasn't a patient person so it was driving him craz. On top of that Tad had been gone and he couldn't talk to his best friend (how in the fuck had some kid become his best friend?) about his world crashing down on him.

Knocking on the door to Tad, Ciri and Rent-a-cop's apartment (oh yeah and Onyx too, he guessed), Dante waited, drumming his fingers on the doorframe. He was hungry and impatient and literally buzzing in frenzy. Finally the door opened, Ciri standing on the other side looking really damn cute. He always had a soft spot for her, probably because she looked so innocent and he wanted to corrupt her.

"Tad," he said, more a demand than a request. "Oh, and..." After a second's pause, Dante pressed a kiss to her cheek, a kind of goodbye without having to say it. "Stay cute," he instructed her. "Or else."

Friday: 1/19/08

Who: Dante and Nox
When: Friday morning
Where: outside track
What: FIGHT! (rarr)
Rating: R for language

Nox was furious. The moment he got word from the security staff that there had been a fight, he was upset, but the general annoyance turned into full on rage when he learned who had been involved in the fight. Dante had apparently harmed Katie. Nox had put up with a lot from Dante, more than he should have, but this was beyond unacceptable. It was unforgivable. He sent a quick text to Katie, ordering her to report to his apartment. She wasn't badly injured, so he would deal with her once he was done tearing into Dante.

Not one to fly off the handle, and almost always able to maintain his cool, it was probably upsetting for students and staff members to see Nox sprinting through the halls and across the school grounds, the anger etched on his face. His skin was nearly purple from being so mad. He'd heard that Dante had gone in the direction of the track, which made sense, because Nox knew that was how Dante blew off steam. Dante wasn't the only one in need of release. Nox felt as though he was going to rip apart at the seams.

He arrived at the track and saw Dante running. Nox ran after him, easily catching up to the half demon and tackling him to the ground. "MY DAUGHTER, MY OWN DAUGHTER!" Nox shouted, not wasting any time in punching his student in center of his face. It was times like this that all his hand to hand combat training (from his father and the force) came in handy.
