[There were certain things that occurred in Marina that Lyle despised more than anything else. One of these included picture day. He ALWAYS received a picture of Anew and it was too much for him to take each time.

So this time he wasn't even bothering with it. He wasn't going to look. He was going to avoid all places where they might be posted. So done with what stuff he had for the school, he headed to the shooting range just by the athletic center.

The set up for the shooting range was top notch, but the projectiles allowed were terrible. Still he always picked the best analog that functioned the closest to real bullets. Non-lethal of course, but they'd definitely leave a mark if someone got between the gun and the target.

Armed with a sniper rifle, he knelt across from one of the furthest targets, looking down the scope at it. Why did this make him feel better? Who knew. It just did and he was rather happy with this fact before he pulled the trigger, sending the projectile flying. A little off of center. He kept forgetting to accommodate for how wild this projectiles went.

He sighed, looking down at the paper he brought with him, trying to keep track of his aim was doing]

[Despite all of the changes that had occurred recently, Lyle had made the decision that he was going to keep the academy going as long as there were still students to attend. If at some point there were none, well that would answer that for him and he'd close it.

But for today, he didn't feel like sitting inside. He had taken what paper work he did have and headed out, bringing Frederick his green haro with him. He had first gone to Sector 0 to get an ice cream (since that was the special thing today) and then for Sector 2 where he could sit and enjoy it while reading his notes. Frederick went with him the entire time, staying beside him]

[ Hello, Marina! It's been a little while since Chuck last addressed the network like this but today is a Very Special Day and she has a Very Important Announcement to make! ]

Hello, Marina! Sick of ice cream? Looking for a little more substantial? Come down to the Daffodil Dive in Sector 4 for a sweet or savoury treat! We have pies both meat and berry — served á la mode if you'd like — along with a whole bunch of other baked goods! Coffee or tea, beer or whiskey, whatever your poison is, we got it!

Seriously, come eat something. We're quickly running out of space and I'd like to be physically able to leave the building tonight. [ Joking. Kind of? ]


[ A C T I O N ]

[ Chuck will be at the Daffodil Dive into late evening, wiping down tables, pairing ice cream with the appropriate pies and sneaking little treats to Gadget, her still-fat-but-not-quite-puppy. ]

[The sound of silence. It was the sound of space. There was nothing. Lyle found himself on the Ptolemaios and it was completely still]

Hello? Is someone there?

[But as he turned around, he saw a computer monitor. On the screen were a list of people, their status all listed “deceased”. It was an ever increasing list of people had known from his family to friends to his teammates]

[Lyle is seen sitting at his table, the communicator likely being held by one of his haros. In his hand was a piece of paper of some sort. He doesn't look at all happy]

I love how this place wants to keep making me relive this... over and over again.

[Now he turns the paper to the camera. It's a picture of himself with a lavender haired woman standing next to each. They are wearing similar uniforms, his in green compared to hers in more of a red. The picture seems very mundane, but clearly his reaction to it means there is more]

Yep. Yet again another reminder. Well... thank you... for that.

[Sarcasm is a wonderful thing.

He turns the picture back to himself and stares at it for a moment. Then he starts to reach for something that's in his shirt pocket. It's then he remembers the communicator is still rolling]

Frederick. Turn it off.

Yo.

Either of you have any ideas where to tuck away something that's potentially dangerous?

[ He's doing audio very deliberately. Since he's standing over a very dead gun that will probably not please either his brother or his teammate if they were to see it. ]

[Lyle is seated in one of the classrooms at the academy when he posts the message]

For those that don't know, my name is Lyle Dylandy. So I'm sure that most people here are aware that Euphemia is no longer here. I know that she will be missed by many.

For those who don't know, one of the things she did was to create Marina Academy. This is an educational experience designed to offer a wide range of academic options for those here.

At least for the time being, I have asked to take over running the academy. I'd be happy to answer questions that students and teachers may have.

Marina Academy is also looking for new teachers and students. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me as well.

[If you are in Sector 4 near the gardening plots, you might have heard the sound of bees buzzing along without a care near their hive, but it wouldn't last. There would be a shout of surprise and then another that was a curse of pain, and footsteps stumbling along. Look in the right direction and you'd see a young man with a mess of long hair flinging his arms around as he fought off the bees he'd unintentionally angered by waking up right next to their hive and knocking into it when he woke up, confused and disoriented, sending several of its inhabitants into a tizzy.]

Damned little demons!

[He's even more confused as to why the stings of the bees hurt--or why he can't simply use his speed to outrun them--but his main priority will be getting away from them and then trying to get some answers. But in his hurry he maybe tramples over some of the nearby gardening plots and doesn't see the people who might be nearby while he's trying to shake the enraged insects off his trail and out of his hair.

He barely notices the device on his head before he grabs it and swings it at them, like a weapon that he doesn't have. Public Video turns on just in time to see him trip over his own two feet while whipping his hair out of his face to see the enemy. The device drops to the ground and he scrambles to his feet, body tense, slit pupils contracted and teeth pulled into a near snarl. It might almost look like he's been in a real fight.]

How many of you are there?!

Day 397. That's only three shopping days left until Day 400. Not that we have any plans necessarily. I might be washing my hair that day. [These are the jokes, folks.] Until then enjoy the new faces.

H-hi.. Um, I was wondering, actually I've been intending to ask for a little while but, um, it's possible to join the baseball teams, right? I--I just don't know how to, but I'd, I'd like to, it seems fun.

[ She's really shy though so asking is a bit scary. And going to the practice to ask was even more scary. But she had watched a little and she had heard from people about it and it really does seem like it could be fun so she wants to try it. ]

[Earlier in the day, MOMO was hurrying about the dome, looking for familiar faces. She didn't bother with the communicator because she wanted to give all her friends hugs upon seeing them again. By the end of the day, she was both happy to have reconnected with people, but also sad to have found some were gone. She could be found throughout the dome for the whole day, finishing up at the beach barbecue.]

[Miranda may have only recently arrived, but even in a prison she hadn't believed they could forsake their duties as Holy Guardian Rainbow Spirit Exorcists! In a place such as this, souls had to be suffering after they passed on.

Not that they had found one, as of yet, but Miranda couldn't give up. If there was a lonely, hurting soul somewhere, then it could be turned into a Poltergeist and Miranda and Lyle couldn't let that happen.

So here they were, dressed out in their Holy Cloths, wishing she had her Rainbow Spirit Staff, ready for any situation they might find, in the graveyard, search everywhere they could for potential souls that would need saving.]

I still don't sense anything, but when have you ever heard of not a single spirit in a graveyard? It's very um--peculiar.

[She was worried they would have to split up to keep looking. Miranda would do it if she had to, but she'd much rather them stay together for now.]

{OOC: Magical Girl meets Exorcist AU! Miranda and Lyle are Holy Guardians, tasked with seeking out spirits who may turn into Poltergeists that can wreak havoc on people and feed on their souls, exorcising them before they lose themselves completely. If their is a Poltergeist, they of course have to fight save it in their magical girl uniforms Holy Cloths! There is a closed thread for Miranda and Lyle, but people can run into them in the graveyard or around the prison. Put in your header which of them you want to thread with or both!}

Happy Day 365, Marina Nova!

Hear ye, hear ye! Inmates, prisoners, fellow underwater dwellers! Lend me your ears and hands and actually just bring all of you because we're having a ye olde Renaissance Faire to celebrate a full year in this bubble under the sea!

The dome has of course been decked out appropriately. Flickering torches light the pathways, interspersed with larger bonfires that you can cosy up to with that special someone - or perhaps just a glass of honey mead. Pennant banners hang across the gates and along the buildings, sporting the proud coat of arms of the prison (a lot of purple and octopi, for some reason) and many of the clothing stores offer time-appropriate options for those of you who still knows how to have fun. The kiosk has even been re-imagined into a castle.

Many areas within the dome has activities to partake in and, if you're skilled or lucky or both, prizes to win!
