[The gloomy atmosphere is actually kind of nice. It's a little unnerving, as he doesn't know what to expect on days like this. And really, he should have been better prepared when his fingers started turning an inky black. He tries to write it off at first. Maybe he got his hands on something while cleaning or sorting through boxes at the store.

But as the day progresses, the black spreads, like a shadow crawling over him, though he still feels solid. He takes to shoving his hands in his pockets as often as he can manage, though he can't resist checking every so often and trying not to panic when the black edges under the sleeves of his jacket.]

It had all started so normally, waking up and showering and going about his morning workout. Everything should have just been a normal day without to much to worry about, right? But that was what he had seen it. That familiar fluff of hair resembling an overgrown dust bunny. At first glance, it was adorable. It would have been the star attraction at any pet store. But for those that knew them? They were horror incarnate.

He yelped and dove after the creature, only for it to slip through his fingers. Had they always been so quick? It didn't matter, he had to find it. Find it before it reproduced and they had an infestation of biblical proportions on their hands. Which means that people can find him running about frantically, searching hi and low for something.

Sadly, his search would end up suspended at some point in the afternoon.

It's a bit hard to search, after all, when your hands are the size of cartoon surgical blow up gloves. No, really. They hardly look like human hands at this point - more like bloated shapes slapped together, or a balloon animal. If it wasn't that, his tongue went completely numb and he could do little more than mumble his words or slur them. Never mind the random bouts of passing out, or feeling so dizzy and woozy that he stumbled like a drunkard.

God, he would never forgive Bones for screwing with his allergies. Hopefully not to many people saw him like this, though. Small mercies, please. ]</sub>

<sub>[ He debated for longer than he should have. He lay there in the dark, feeling it creeping up, and after the way this day had gone, he didn't have to really think to hard on what it was. He had dreamed it so often in the early days after it happened, this phantom pain that haunted him, a nagging reminder and enduring punishment.

Perhaps he could make it through the night. Perhaps not. But there was one thing he knew for certain - if this got to be to much, he did not want to face it alone. Not this time. Not like in his nightmares. Let this, at least, play out differently. He hoped he would be forgiven for showing such a sorry sight.

[ If you come around where John has taken residence up, you will find him busy drawing/etching a rather hilarious looking seal onto the floor and wall. Not to mention all of the notes that are scribbled on his arms and the walls too. It's been a day and some since he was thrown down his personal timeline, so what is a man to do? Try and retain everything he has learned. Just in case it becomes relevant and needed at some point in the future.

He's been busy the last twenty-four hours and some making sure he has every bit of information down that he can think of. People he knows, or people he knew in the future? Feel free to drop by and check up on him. ]

[He told John a day or two, but he doesn't bother to contact him until the third day. He waits until the fake sun has set, because it seems more appropriate to wait for dark. He flips on his headset to send the private message]

Hey. You still want to poke around in dark places? Meet me at the Sector 5 entrance. We can go from there.

[ when the video comes into focus zed is frowning at the camera, her brows furrowed slightly. she's felt off since she's arrived. her senses were off... disconnected. she's determined though, to figure out what's happening, to connect.

she doesn't like the idea of making this video. the idea of doing something so public makes her uncomfortable. what if someone from her father's cult sees her? she doesn't know if she trusts people or this place enough to put herself out there. it's a risk but what does she have to loose? if this is a prison, what could they do to her? ]

Hi... I'm Zed. [ she has a slight accent. ] I just got here. [ she pauses. it feels like such an obvious and stupid introduction. ] Can't say I'm exactly a fan of all this. I guess, I just wanted to say hello. And John? Chas? If you're here - let me know?

[ there is another pause. her expression softens slightly. the determination is still there but she looks tired. almost resigned. zed isn't the type to give up easily. she always keeps going, keeps running, keeps doing what needs to be done. but this, this might be the tipping point. ]

I can't believe it! I don't know how it ended up here or who put in my room, but I love it!

Now I just need to find a device to play it on. But I have it!

[ John is sitting... well it's probably the room of his floor. As usual he's got a cigarette in his mouth, but now he's flashing around a fancy lighter. He's got chalk with him, so Lord only knows what sort of seal or spell he is trying to perform this time to test his magic. ]

Now, living normal happy lives is all nice and dandy. For the people that lead that sort of thing. Me? I walk the darker side of life. I don't suppose any of you lot know if any places in this prison have darker corners things like to hide in.

[It's the day. It's the day! She's been working up to this since she (was seeded the idea) landed here with her heels on the ground and her heart set on love. But of course, finding your true love is far from easy and it is kind of slim pickings in jail but that's still one large step up from Hell. So Satan's daughter Jezebel has deemed today the right time to get the ball moving so she can find Mr or Mrs Right already.

The feed starts with Jezebel looking up at the camera, flashing her good angle before a toothy little grin as she brings the lens down level. She's braided her hair around her two protruding horns and even has a little dab of lipgloss on. Her apartment still isn't quite right but one of the walls behind her already has a framed picture of a kitten on it and a doily on the couch armrest.]

I was just wanting to tell you guys that today, well - tonight Lyrical's going to be a total dating hotspot for singles! So if you're looking for love you should head on down there, where there'll be some music and singing. And drinks, I guess. So you should go! [So you heard the post and you decided to drop by Lyrical, the karaoke bar, on a whim or to witness the curious spectacle. That or you just happened to walk by on the same day Satan's little daughter Jezebel's declared to be her big first chance at finding love in this tiny little wading pool under the sea. She's put up a few glittery banners and has tried to organize some sort of food set up (with as much booze as she could muster) but she's not sure how to really run this thing being wholly devoid of experience. But she's still holding out in hopes someone will show up to join her.

Otherwise it'll be a lot of lonely demon girl sitting alone. You wouldn't do that to her, would you?]

[As it happens, waking up three years older than you were when you went to sleep is mildly disorienting. Waking up in bed next to someone who wasn't present in any of those three years compounds the effect. Chekov--newly twenty-four and, as far as he can remember, fresh from yet another near-death experience--sits up with a start. This is definitely not his room at Yorktown Starbase. This is...

Chekov lowers his head to his hands and groans. There are two different yesterdays in his mind, both equally vivid and real, and it's way too early to deal with that.]

[Chekov, three years older than he was yesterday and considerably more dazed than usual, does a circuit of the dome. Everything has a not-quite-rightness to it that he can't put his finger on and he feels oddly out of place. He isn't, of course. He was here yesterday, and he remembers that yesterday like it was... yesterday, which it was. But he also remembers a yesterday where he was a universe away and waiting for the Enterprise to be rebuilt. In that universe, he was on year three of a five-year mission.

He's looking for Kirk, specifically. It would be easiest to call him up, but Chekov would much rather talk in person.]

[Sector 4: home to a movie theatre, art center, bike store, and even a porn shop! Who doesn't pass through this priceless sector regularly? Especially if you happen to live in Clocktower Estates or you just can't get enough of the poutine served at the Canadian restaurant in the Little Earth district. This sector is also home to the Daffodil Dive which is easily the bar with the most colorful history in the prison. But the only blood you'll find there now is blood pudding pie! Maybe. If Chuck makes those kinds of things and hasn't cut herself or anyone else. Not that she would. What were we talking about again...?

Sector 4 is also where all the best clothing is found. The wardens are always rotating the stock and while sun dresses, leather jackets, jeans, and kimonos are always easy to come by you also find the occasional treasure. If you're not into clothes you can always pick up a freshly arranged bouquet of flowers or you could get that three wolves moon tattoo the parlor is specializing in today! So many reasons to hang out in sector 4, what's yours?]

[Wally found himself browsing through the costume selections at the stores despite whatever misgivings he had about what the Wardens have planned for tomorrow. It wouldn't hurt to be prepared just in case it's not something diabolical. At some point during his search for the perfect costume, he stumbled across this gem and just had to try it on. While there's some noticeable differences between the costume and his best friend's superhero uniform back home, there's a few obvious similarities as well.

Wanting to share his discovery with the one person in the dome who would truly appreciate the humor in it, he activates the video function on his communicator but forgets to use the private setting in his excitement so the whole dome gets to witness him wearing this ridiculous thing.]

[Smiling, he places his hands on his hips and puffs out his chest a bit in an attempt to imitate the classic superhero pose. Man, if only the others were here to see this.]

The shorts are a little uncomfortable but I think I got the legs to pull it off. [He glances down and everyone gets a good look at the legs in question. He really hadn't expected the shorts of the costume to be so...short.] I bet Rob wouldn't be feeling so whelmed right now.

Having found little to interest her in tattoos to cover up her newest scars, Martha had turned to Jack's suggestion at getting them removed. And knowing she had little to no rehabilitation points, she was willing to take whatever the wardens would give her regarding work to earn more.

Which was why she was now rolling a ginormous pumpkin through sector zero to place somewhere. It was also why she was placing hay bales in various places and hanging orange lights. None of the decorations were as impressive as she would have expected from the wardens for a big anniversary bash, but there was definitely plenty.

"Excuse me!" she called over the pumpkin.

[ Have you ever been treated to heavy breathing on the end of a phone call? Well, that's the sound you're hearing now, except there's a video to go with it, which is mostly occupied by Kirk's sweat-streaked, dirt smudged, scratched up face. He looks more put upon than hurt, and from the looks of the background he's somewhere green and up high. He's tucked tight against what appears to be a tree trunk, running a hand through his hair and flashing his best charming grin under the circumstances. ]

So, probably not the smartest decision ever in my life, but I've found myself up at tree and in need of some assistance. If anyone has suggestions on how to make it out of Sector 6 with...

[After a very brief chat with one of the wardens, Ryou has found himself more confused than he was to begin with. So he puts effort into figuring this thing out. Effort is hard...

Once he does so, he proceeds, speaking in his usual manner which is slow, soft. It was like his default manner of speaking was that of someone very tired. The spaced out look on his face probably doesn't help, either.]

Ah... I'm confused...

What does "They are not aware you've left" mean in regards to people back home? Maybe it was an insult.

I think we could all use a distraction.

[Or maybe that's just her thinking about how it's been awhile since the wardens have launched something at them. The kites barely seem to count. Is something big coming? are they just counting down the days until 400? Another anniversary festival or something...worth waiting for? In probably all the wrong ways.]

So, let's play a game. It's called I Never. It's usually a drinking game, but I'll leave the type of beverage up to you. All ages. [As if anyone stops the kids from drinking booze here anyway.]

I'll say "I never went to prison." If you have gone to prison—and spoiler alert, you have—then you drink. If you're not using video then figure something else out or stop being so difficult. The objective is to find things out about each other while not getting too drunk or hydrated yourself, so normally you'd pick a true statement for yourself so you don't have to drink. But that's really up to you. [She might drink a lot just because she's done a lot of things.]

I'll start us off, I never shoplifted...from a store that hadn't already been abandoned.

[Not long after the video goes up there's a knock at his door. On the other side is Kitty, looking a more put together than usual and carrying a couple of bags. One has liquor. The other has food. What do?]

[ Pet Cafés are amazing, they're an innovation or something. Obi is fond of animals and he likes cats and he's encountered a cat couple at this place he went to, a red molly and a silver white tom. Watching them cuddle with each other, Obi fiddles with the little communication device, and turns it on to make a video.

Until a shaggy brown cat jumps down on him and climbs over him on its way ... somewhere, and knocks the device off. ]

There's a mountain monkey cat too?

[ The shaggy cat gives him the stinkeye. Or at least it looks like it. Obi returns the look as the turns off the video feed.

From the corner of his eye, Obi catches the sight of an elegantly amused looking blond cat settling beside him, its tail curling around its front paws. ]

And Lord Big Brother is present too. [ Because this cat sure looks regal, even if he doesn't know if it is male like King Izana. The cat watches the shaggy brown cat and the silver white tom bicker around the red molly while Obi tries to figure out if you could take pictures with it. ]

These things should come with proper instructions...

[ He turns the video feed back on once more, only briefly. So he actually makes two posts within the span of a minute or two. ]
