[ Camping out on the beach is fun, right? Sleeping under the stars, lulled to sleep by the lapping of the waves and the rustling in the palm fronds. This isn't a refugee camp, this is a resort!

Several larger tents have been prepared on the beach. If this isn't enough there's a bunch of smaller ones ready to be set up, along with the permanent beach huts if tents aren't your thing. The makings of hot dogs and s'mores are available by the fire pits and if you have additional dietary desires, the convenience store isn't far away!

( she smiles, pleasantly. ) If you haven't, I'm Claire. I apparently took an almost-three-month hiatus, but I've been here before.

[ Haruka wakes up fresh off a nightmare. The premonitions are coming more frequently now, and have started featuring a second person - a woman who implores her to awaken, who tells her that only the two of them can stop the coming apocalypse. Which is absolutely ridiculous, especially since she's never seen that woman before...

Until Haruka turns her head. And stares.

After that she's springing out of the bed, only managing to avoid tripping awkwardly over the furniture in this unfamiliar room because she is Tenoh Haruka and therefore does not trip. Her back hits the wall, and she takes in her surroundings. Unfamiliar woman, unfamiliar apartment, even the clothes she's wearing are new to her... ]

What's the meaning of this...?

[ And will she be able to figure out what she wants to do about it before her kidnapper - is that what happened? She's been kidnapped? Coerced? - wakes up? ]

[Asami's smiling face appears onscreen, with a variety of dirty magazines visible behind her.] Hey, so there are some faces here. A lot of new faces since the last time I advertised, actually.

I guess that's what happens when your business doesn't really depend on money. Orrrr anything else, actually.

But anyway. I'm Asami Sato, and I run a shop called the Plush Rump. We are a sex store [There's a little frown at that, but not the sex store bit. She's comfortable talking about her job, now. She's just wondering who 'we' is supposed to be.], if you can't tell from the name, and we have a variety of items for red and blue bands alike. So if you're interested, stop by.

I think we should play a game, so I thought of one that might work over the network. It's called Would you Rather.

I'll give you two scenarios and you'll have to choose which one you'd rather do. You won't actually have to do them of course! Then you'll give me scenarios and I'll choose. Let me know if it doesn't make sense. Maybe once it gets going it will be clearer.

[Piper had the cooking lab set up and ready to go. She was nervous as all heck, but she was as ready to do this as she was ever going to be. She found herself questioning why she was doing this, but no point in running that through her head now.]

Hello, everyone, and welcome to Cooking Class.

[She gave them all a somewhat nervous smile.]

This is a first for me, so I'm looking for a lot of feedback on this one. What are you interested in learning? What are you current skills? Stuff like that. We can do recipe courses, like what you see on a cooking show, or we can teach specific techniques for people who are looking for something more rudimentary.

[She picked up her apron.]

I have some extra aprons in the back, so grab one if you didn't bring your own. Cooking can get pretty messy, even when you know what you're doing.

[She put the apron on, and, while everyone was getting theirs, handed out a sheet of paper with a recipe on it.]

We're going to start with a simple recipe today so I can figure out where everyone is in their skill level.

[Asami's dreaming about watching a pro-bending match at home. The specifics won't be familiar to most of the prison's inhabitants, but it's clearly some sort of a sporting match, complete with an announcer giving a blow-by-blow for the radio audience. She cheers on her favorite team, watching them win their first victory, and then, abruptly, she's the one down in the arena, firebending at some nebulously defined opponent to throw them off balance.]

(OOC: Pretty open for things! Your character can talk to her while she's spectating or find themselves down in the arena with her, on her team or the other one.

Hey, just a reminder. If you want to stay in Driver's Ed, bring your own bicycle today. Or take one of mine. [ She laughs, shrugging. ] Apparently they're not playing nicely with the horses.

[ Haruka has her Driver's Ed class out and about in each Sector today, teaching them about traffic safety, hand signals, etiquette, etc. in addition to basic bicycling skills. She wants to make sure everybody's reflexes are where they need to be before sticking them on something with an engine. ]

Good. Now faster.

[ She will keep urging this to every pupil as she judges them ready to push themselves. Unfortunately, this means she's also spending a lot of time checking behind herself, so distracted pedestrians had better watch out....

But that would just be ridiculous, right? There's no way she's going to encounter a person in the middle of the street right as she's lecturing everyone on distracted driving! ]

[You know the phrase about waking up on the wrong side of the bed? Well, today you wake up exactly where you planned to, just not how you planned to. Taller, blonder, now with dangerous and unpredictable powers? So maybe the phrase about not feeling comfortable in your own skin applies more today. After all, it's not exactly your skin is it?]

[ deanna's all set up in her new office today, settling in nicely, and as it seems to be a newbie day, she's decided to officially offer her services. so when she appears on the communicators, her smile is warm and gentle. ]

It seems a lot of new faces are appearing today. My name is Deanna Troi, for those I have not yet met. I'm a counselor and despite having held sessions previously in one of the lovely parks in the dome, I have recently been allowed an office of my own to use. I am trained as a therapist and have been practicing for several years. If anyone would like to speak with me about anything, I would be happy to assist. My expertise lies in helping people understand emotions and deal with what is happening in their lives. I believe that can extend here, as well.

If anyone has any questions, my office is located in Sector 2. Any sessions I have are strictly confidential. I do take pre-assigned time slots, as well as walk-ins. Whichever would be most comfortable for you. If you'd simply like to talk to me about nothing in particular, I would be happy to do that as well.

[ she can be found in her office or later on in the day wandering around sector 2 to get her bearings again. she still feels as though she's learning a lot, but it's sometimes nice to just walk around. at some point in the day, though, she'll be wandering around the trekpartment to find her husband, as she wants to talk to him again. life in the prison is beginning to get to her. ]

[Korra's not the kind of person who can keep still. She needs to move, to act, to do. For now, that means exploring every inch of her new prison, taking in as much information as she can in order to drown out the things she doesn't want to think about: Hei. Yin. Jinora. Her bending.]

[Korra's time in the City changed her a lot. A year and a half ago, she wouldn't have even been able to post to the network with this thing, but she's become familiar enough with technology that after just three days, she's figured out how to send a private message.

She hopes, at least. She's not going to take chances.]

[Inara flashes a charming smile as she sits, soothing her skirt out around her.]

While I am well aware that we're not required to actually work here, I find myself with a lot of time on my hands....

[She exhales slowly and then clasps her hands together on her lap.]

I'm well trained in a number of areas, from Economics to music and dance, as well as psychology and music just to name a few. I would be more than happy to work or even just help out where ever anyone needs help.

I suppose I'm just hoping to find a way to pass the time more productively.

[Yesterday you may have noticed a young woman in an orange jumpsuit trying to beat the shit out of one of the kiosks. And, after taking one look at her face and the dents she's already made in the machine, you would have been very, very wise to stay out of her way. The Wardens can handle it, after all, and handle it they did. Today it's time for Korra to pay the piper.]

[After a great deal of trial & error and possible other inmate intervention, Korra is settled into the spa in Sector 3, scowling as she scrubs the baths.]

[ she's been giving this consideration after certain things have happened and what she's been noticing happening. it seems as though a lot of the people here are having a difficult time, some more open than others, and deanna wants to be able to offer something to help them cope. she doesn't know if any of them will take her up on her offer, especially since she can't just override them by rank given to a counselor like she would on the enterprise, but she figures it can't hurt to offer.

so here she is, turning on the communicators for something she hopes will be simple, but knows likely won't be. ]

My name is Deanna Troi. I know I haven't met many of you yet and I hope that we will be able to talk in the future. That's part of why I'm setting up this communication. I've noticed that a lot of us are having a difficult time, either settling in or dealing with what's happened lately. [ the marinalympics stuff and losing so many people so suddenly... a lot of things, really. ]

I realize that I don't know a lot of you and so this may sound strange [ or upsetting ] to some of you. My job back where I'm from is to help my [ crew ] fellows by talking them through whatever difficulties their lives present. I'm a counselor and I would like to offer the same here. I don't yet have an office, but I think for the remainder of the day, I will be in Två Park in Sector 2 if anyone would like to speak with me. I would be happy to talk with anyone at any time, even if it's just about the weather. Our talks will always be entirely confidential.

[ Waking up to Haruka is always a great thing, right? Just ask Michiru. Despite having been here for a few weeks, Haruka hasn't formally introduced herself over the network, so when she starts the feed up she coughs to clear her throat and gives the camera a smile. She's leaning on her motor scooter, and she's surrounded by bicycles. ]

Yo, everyone. If we haven't met before, I'm Tenoh Haruka - your new Driver's Ed teacher. We'll be meeting days 1 and 4 at 11, outside the sports center in sector 1. [ She laughs. ] Sure, we can't drive anything too fancy here, but I think we'll make do!

[ But enough cryptic references to her souped-up Vespa. The grin returns. ] Today we're playing with bicycles, so if you've never seen one of these before - [ she pats the handlebars ] - or never learned, or just want some exercise, we'd love to have you. I'll bring the bikes. You bring the balance.

action - driver's ed class

[ As promised, Haruka has something like half a dozen bicycles, complete with helmets and water bottles, lined up outside the sports center. She's in a tracksuit and is doing stretches while she waits for her class to convene, and she's also brought along a toolkit and enough training wheels for everyone, if necessary. Plans for the class involve getting everyone a bike, finding out who knows how to ride one and who doesn't, showing the different parts of a bicycle and how it works, and then practicing by riding around the area. She'll save taking a bike tour of the dome for the next class, unless everybody who shows up already knows how to ride.

Also, students beware. She's friendly for one-on-one, but Mentor Mode!Haruka can be a little strict.

[Asami doesn't look great when she gets on the video. While she's angled the camera so that nothing TOO vulgar is in view, the wide collection of adult magazines behind her makes it pretty obvious she's at the Plush Rump. And her dark eyes, unkempt hair and generally sagging posture, it seems like she may have been sleeping there the past few days.]

I need... [My friends back? Someone to talk to? A distraction or a way out of here? She falls silent, realizing that pretty much everyone here could say the same thing. So she changes tactics instead.]

This is gonna sound awkward, but whatever. If anybody's willing to have an honest, detailed and mature conversation about their sex life, I'd appreciate if you'd come by the Plush Rump.
