[As you round a corner a ghostly figure leaps out at you! A ghostly figure that, upon closer inspection looks suspiciously like a bed sheet with eye holes cut in it, one of which is glowing red. Zoinks, gang! Looks like the ghost was Old Man Phanan all along!

[Kitty's been on high alert from the moment she woke up. She's moving through the hall looking for other inmates and cautious of whatever else she might find. She turns a corner when suddenly a figure is leaping toward her.]

(1) [Kitty's first instinct is to phase, moving through him—and to her surprise—automatically disrupting the electronic elements of his body. It wasn't a sensation she was expecting and her eyes widen.] Ton?

(2) [And that's when he gets a gut full of being kicked! Oops? She can always smack him later.]

[Michiru had been walking through hallway, looking around as she went. This had seemed odd, but it had started to get really weird when the mirror in her bathroom had started writing words on its own. That's when she had left in a bit of a hurry.

And then as she walked through the halls, something jumped out in front of her and instinct was to punch. Quick reflexes made her realize it was someone in a sheet and she managed to pull it back just before he got punched in the stomach]

[As soon as Calliope realized something was wrong, her original intention was to stay in her room and watch TV. Naturally, when she turned on the TV, there were scenes of death—not so much gory as disturbing and eerie.]

[It was worse when she turned the TV off and the high-pitched sound of the static continued despite even unplugging it.]

[Now she's out in the halls, keeping one hand to the wall and her back angled toward it. There's nothing inherently wrong that she sees right now, but this is so very much like Faerie Stuff that she finds herself feeling for her iron and rowan. It's not there, of course, but years of habit in situations like this...]

[Its almost a relief, whatever this is. It's something to do, something to distract his brain with so he doesn't think about waking up alone again today or the fact that he slept curled up in Jack's abandoned coat. So far Ianto hasn't felt fear as he wanders the hotel halls with their faded, peeling wallpaper, creaking floorboards and flickering lights. Just a sort of grin numbness, like if he concentrates as hard as he can on all this right now he won't be able to think about how abandoned and alone he feels, how much he wishes Jack were here to make a comment about the decor or tell a probably untrue story about sex with an alien in a haunted hotel once. Focus on exploring, not on that.]

[She is the only one here. That's one thing, to be alone in a room—you might enjoy it for a while, or get bored and leave to find friends. But this is a crushing feeling of the solitary, so stifling that your mind makes its own games and tricks to try and alleviate the absence of sound and interaction.]

[Sam is basically right at home. In fact, he thought he might actually have been transported back there. Not that this hotel looks like any specific one he remembers, but the flickering lights and aged feel to everything are very familiar.

So, he's out and exploring and hearing the occasional whisper or seeing his breath, but he hasn't been confronted...yet.]

[Aigis is in her element as she patrols methodically through the halls, mentally mapping them out the way should would in Tartarus. She looks calm, collected, alert and anything but frightened as she moves through the hotel. It's pitch black at the moment but that doesn't bother her. Soon she enters a large area, something like a lobby complete with elaborate, dilapidated stairs and a dusty crystal chandelier. It's too dark to see anything but she has her own sensors and they tell her two important things. The first is that she is not alone here. The second is that although one person here seems human, the other is most assuredly not.

[ Gon is making his way down one of the random hallways. He figured it was better to explore then stay in his room. The room had been filled with an almost non-stop chuckling. A dark lustful chuckling that reminded him of a certain clown from back home. He had done his best to ignore it and pull a pillow over his head but it just went on and on. It would be extremely annoying if it didn't make his skin crawl!

He was already tense, hands clenched into fists at his sides as he walked the hallway. It felt like there were eyes on him at every turn. But every time he turned to face whoever was there, no matter how sure he was someone was there!...there would be nothing. He'd rather face things head on...this was awful.]

[Carol found a poker by a fireplace, and she carefully moves through the house, brandishing it like a bat. It's got pointy bits and it's heavy. Not the best thing, but the best thing she's found so far. The house makes noises and shadows move from the corner of her eyes, but so far nothing has come to visit her.]

[Of all the weird and creepy places to wake up in, it had to be room 518 of this hotel. The room had weird chill, but apparently bats seemed to like it. There had been three in the room.

So rather than have them chase him out, Lyle had left of his own accord. Lucky: he had found a fireplace in a nearby room. Unlucky: The only thing he could find for defense was a fire place brush and the pan used to for ash.

Really, how was he going to protect himself from this real life haunted house full of creepy feeling and an odd face that had looked at him through a window that seemed to go nowhere? Maybe he could fling ash at them and run for it. This was his thought as he wandered the hall looking for a way out]

[ You'd think someone with his kind of profession would be a lot more okay with the dark, but he absolutely isn't. It's an awful and lingering fear, not exactly made any better by him knowing exactly what kind of awful things there are that lurk in it, or that he's currently lacking both flak vest and revolver. Things could be better. At least he found a flashlight with slowly dying batteries.

He's currently making himself up a stairwell, hoping to get to the roof or maybe find someone else in this dark building. Not that there seems to be much of an end to it, despite the breeze that brings with it a clatter of dry bones. Like a windchime. Dead animals.

He'd be relieved to at least find a body, dead or otherwise. ]

Waking up in a room that wasn't her own was freaky enough, but now that she was exploring, this whole place left a very bad feeling about her.

[Option 1]
Flashes of the Labyrinth passed through her brain, and of course, at that moment, the doors all disappeared in the hallway, and she heard the sound of the Cleaner coming after her.

[Option 2]
The room didn't look too scary when Sarah entered it, but now the door had disappeared and everything was black. So black she couldn't even see her hand in front of her face. "Hoggle?" she called out, hoping the dwarf would appear and take her back out of the oubliette

[Option 3]
Something was following her. Laughing... shrieking... and generally herding her through the hotel. Finally she felt she got away from it, only to find herself in what appeared to be the swimming pool room. That was fine. Sarah wasn't a huge fan of water, but she didn't have to go towards the water. Except... did the water appear to be rising just the tiniest bit?

[ Out of all the awful things to happen in this awful place, this is perhaps the most awful. Well, top ten, at least. The hotel isn't so bad (he's slept in worse places) but the sounds coming down the corridor, distant and yet so clear they might actually be inside his skull? That's worse.

They drive him out of the room he woke up in, haunting the corridors in his own frantic way in his search for the source. ]

[Rooms and hallways are not scary, even when they're very dark and still. Distant noises aren't frightening because noises are harmless, especially when they stay distant. Nothing is exploding, no ships are going down, the building isn't filling with water (yet), and no one is falling to their death.

Therefore, Chekov is fine.

Lonely, maybe. Slightly annoyed by the lack of proper lighting (candles, really?), absolutely. There's something unnerving about the sameness of all of the rooms and halls, and he's perplexed by the emptiness of the building. Perhaps if he follows the creepy noises and occasional shrieks, he'll stumble across someone. Going towards creepy noises and screams is always a solid plan.]

[When the scariest thing is the inside of your own head, the environment doesn't have to work hard to be terrifying.

Nathan is stumbling around in near-perfect darkness and silence, feeling his way out of his room and down a hallway, trying to find anything. Lights, people, noise, it doesn't matter. He'd take a ghost or a serial killer or a zombie (the decaying, unintelligent kind that mauls people, not the good kind) over the nothing that he's coming up with.

There's nothing to distract him from his thoughts, nothing to hold on to and use as an anchor. The farther into the darkness he goes, the more he loses himself.
