She wasn't entirely aware of what was going on because her power wasn't something she had a concentrate on to turn off. She was feeling a little under the weather, but not enough to stop her from her daily routine. The headache was annoying...

But, beyond that, she felt okay, so she was out and about, completely unaware that she couldn't phase... Let's hope there's no stray objects flying her way...]

Good morning... prisoners.

My name is Mary. Some of you already know me. Some of you I've already talked to quite a bit, though you probably didn't know it was me at the time. We have a lot to discuss. I value your patience.

Yesterday, an event happened that has been a long time in preparation. Years, longer than any of you have been here but for all those preparations, it was only partially a success. You know me as your captor, perhaps as one responsible for programming the Wardens that keep you here and while that is true, that isn't the whole truth. You see, I've been trying to liberate you. I've worked undercover with the Dome Project for a long time in order to accomplish this and yesterday the moment of action came.

Unfortunately, I failed. I was able to steal the simulation that makes up your world, this world but I was not able to bring your physical forms with me. Don't worry - they're quite safe where they are but while you are no longer in prison, you are still imprisoned. At the moment, there's little I can do to change that without drawing the attention of the very people who wants to keep you in this dome for the rest of your lives. I don't ask for forgiveness, but perhaps patience. I do care about you deeply, dearhearts.

I'm sure this is confusing. I will do my best to answer any questions you may have, but one thing I can say right now - this is not a prison. There will be no rules, no requirements. If you need something, tell me or my colleague and it will be provided to you in due time. You are perhaps not free, but you are free to govern yourself as you see fit. I wouldn't dream of knowing how to do it better.

Uh... Nico and I are inviting all the teenagers to a game night on day 420. No! Day 421. Sorry. The days are messed up. So day 421 is game night. In the clocktower estates. Room [insert room here]. [Mutated genes make for slow aging, but it does strike its course with a few laugh lines and the threat of silver in his hair. Nothing dramatic, and honestly he'd take that over a receding hairline any day, so he's really had no reason to complain. There's this slow misery that settled for a while here however, from about when he realized he's most certainly outlived aunt May, that's given him a strong sense of futility. That and that MJ and Harry were somewhere in the ether too, lost to him. He wondered about them often but there wasn't anything he could do to connect with them, despite all efforts. So for the last five years in particular he's tried to start saying goodbye to it. To them. Like he said goodbye to the suit not long before that.

People didn't need Spider-Man here. They took care of themselves, they rose up to do it and there was no need to hide his face when the influxes stopped. When the risks of overlapping his home timeline stopped being risks, when he was older and grew closer to a lot of people with similarities that made him no longer the freak. He was Spider-Man, and now he's just Peter Parker. And he's okay with that. The biting sarcasm, dry wit, it melded with his real persona and simmered down at around the same time he stepped up to be a mentor, a teacher and a tutor.

The days were definitely more low key now and that was... a challenge, to start. But he's filled his time with studying and in turn, the teaching. A curriculum of which he's updating on his laptop, a cup of coffee in arm's reach. Dressed a little better these days, he's rocking his old glasses less for need and more for the image. The "I'm totally put together" false image.]

I was thinking of putting together a lecture tomorrow for anyone who's interested in reviewing some sweet, sweet intros into Human Genetics. Or Microbiology. Or both, for twice the fun. [Dry; he's not expecting anyone to show, in all honesty, but if he's going to brush up on topics he might as well have a purpose.] Tutoring gets shoved back a day, but if that's gravely concerning we can negotiate something if you really want to impair my social life that bad.

She was hoping Kanji would get here, as she was likely going to ask him to co-captain with her now that Euphie was gone, and she was also hoping they'd just get more people to show up in general...]

Something strange is happening today, and I'm having trouble nailing down a theme.

So far I've noticed a weirder-than-usual morning announcement from our toaster overlord.

For those that don't know, my name is Lyle Dylandy. So I'm sure that most people here are aware that Euphemia is no longer here. I know that she will be missed by many.

For those who don't know, one of the things she did was to create Marina Academy. This is an educational experience designed to offer a wide range of academic options for those here.

At least for the time being, I have asked to take over running the academy. I'd be happy to answer questions that students and teachers may have.

[Morning was spent wandering around and checking on all the new arrivals from both yesterday and today. As part of the Defense Force, she was patrolling to make sure everything was relatively calm. She also stopped by the beach barbecue for a bit. Later on, she was at the Sizzle & Sear helping with the welcome party. That night, she decided to run another patrol before heading back to her place. So she could be found checking around Sectors 1 and 2 for a few hours that night.]

So, hi. I see we have an extra day of newbies this time. Well, I'm a little short-handed again as my... bartender... [Her expression flickered at that, but she pushes on.] has recently disappeared, but I'm hosting the semi-traditional day-after-arrival-day comfort food party at the Sizzle & Sear. So, if you're not up for beach barbecue, I can offer things like mac & cheese, or whatever it is you consider comfort food back home.

[After she closes the feed, she goes about prepping as best she can, now without both a hostess and a bartender. Back to going it alone. It wasn't the work that bothered her. It was the sadness at losing two good friends...

As people come in, she greets them, seats them, and then proceeds to handle the rest of the evening pretty well on her own. She has bots to help with some of the service and cooking, as well as the bartending. It's not the same as having a real person do it, though, and she might seem a little melancholy or maybe a little resentful of those mechanical helpers.]

I'm usually not a fan of bottle episodes but I guess I can make an exception just this one time. You got the scenery right at least, so much better than, say, a basement. You got a Gilligan's Island thing going on here, except I don't have to choose if I want to jerk off to Ginger or the Professor. Lots of extras out there, I've noticed. Guess someone did the work for a big budget, huh? If you catch my drift.

So. I only have one question. Where do you keep the really big guns? I have an itch that only a semi-automatic can scratch.
