[After too long holed up at home, Ritsuka has decided to go out. What better weather to do so than sunny with clear "skies"? None that he can think of.

Ritsuka's destination of choice? Sector 0, naturally. He wants to try the street food - all of the street food - and make memories. This amounts to him snapping photos, mostly of Soubi. But he wants at least one or two photos of the two of them together, so there's a good chance he'll be approaching any inmates who happen to pass by (the robots don't take good pictures).]

[ooc: please label your thread as with Ritsuka OR Soubi but NOT both. Allie and I are trying to get back into the swing of things so we're going to start out slowly, and group threads get too confusing.]

Aloha!

[Jake greets everyone cheerfully! He looks...more ~smug~ than just cheerful, though. Almost as if he's won something! A bet, perhaps?]

I have a highly important inquiry, if everyone would lend me an ear.

Say you've won a bet, and as your hard-earned prize, you now find yourself with a rather obstinate fella to command as you please.

Hypothetically speaking, of course, what sorts of scandalous tomfoolery would you have him engage in?

[Ritsuka is a boy who depends on routine. He falls into a basic pattern even when he's not trying to, and it comforts and grounds him in a less tangible way than his obsession with photographs. Ritsuka is also a boy who very rarely allows other people to get close to him. Other people forget. Other people disappear. And nothing he does can change that.

Knowing this, it's understandable, really, how isolated Ritsuka has become since being uprooted from one prison to the next. Roxas, the only boy who has understood Ritsuka on such an unfathomably deep level, was among those who disappeared. Just days before they were moved, the metaphorical rug had already been yanked from under Ritsuka's feet with the realization that his brother has not been dead these past months, just simply gone from Ritsuka's life. It had shattered and reformed his bond with Soubi, a bond he values more than ever now for its strength and its surety.

But all this change left Ritsuka exhausted and unwilling to engage with the others. He heard from Soubi of Yuiko's arrival and equally sudden departure, his regret at missing her matched only by his relief that he did.

He has spent every day since he arrived in quiet isolation. He and Soubi moved into a small apartment in sector four together, and Ritsuka has focused what little energy he has on busywork - cleaning and rearranging things in the apartment, learning how to make simple dishes, inhaling the books Soubi brings home from the library for him. Sleeping.

But most of all, he has spent hours poring over his photographs: organizing, cleaning, creating a careful display on his bedroom wall. The display has spilled out into the living room, though he uses frames for those, selecting the most precious photographs that he thinks Soubi will also find important. It's a long process; Ritsuka has to pause over each picture and remind himself of the memories associated with it, has to be absolutely sure he does not forget. He's surprised to find it helps more than his Wednesday appointments back home.

Then he's taking his album off the shelf and accidentally knocks his communicator to the floor. He hasn't worn it since the first few days in the new prison, so it feels weird when he puts it on again, but he does. He turns it on, scans some of the other messages, not recognizing half of the people. He doesn't really enjoy talking to strangers. He almost turns it off without posting anything, but reconsiders at the last second.]

I might go read in the library tomorrow. [his grip tightens on the photo album in his hand, cat ears flattening against his head] If anyone knows of a good place to sit, I'd like some recommendations.

[Yeah, it's about as awkward as he thought it was going to be. Ritsuka quickly shuts off the communicator - he'll check if he gets any replies later - and, face flushing, goes to plunk down in an armchair to wait for Soubi to get home.]

[So, who else is not checking out that exhibit of sex toys? Because Peter isn't, he's actually somewhere a little nondescript. Some nook of the library, a stack of books on the desk next to him. He's in a long sleeved shirt, though gauze wraps his knuckles and peeks out every so often. The greater extent of his injuries for the moment out of view.

Save a bruise or two, but they're healing quite fast.]
So I was thinking, there used to be a pamphlet in the welcome baskets, that gave a little info on the old place. Now that that's nil, I was just wondering if we had any other means of gathering and sharing information.

There's computers, but not everyone uses them. I was thinking more of some sort of distributable news update, kinda like a newspaper? Just gauging interest in the idea. There'd have to be contributions, I'm assuming, but it seems feasible. Even easily delivered, even, to anyone who'd want to subscribe. I'd have to talk to our friendly neighborhood mail-woman, of course.

[He shifts, then reaches for the device to filter private to Rogue;]

Uh, hey. I got that thing I meant to give you. If you're not busy today.

...how strange. [This is a puzzled plant girl, sitting up on top of the floating island]

This certainly isn't the place I remember. Or was I lost once again and Marina has changed in my absence? The orange clothing certainly isn't something I remember. [She has already taken that off. The nice thing about being a plant is your normal clothing is a part of you]

I suppose either way I'm new once again here. I do hope this time I don't disappear. It's a little jarring to come back each time. I wonder if anyone I know is still here...?

[And now she's going to get up and walk to the edge of the island and look down] ...goodness this is a long way up. [Time to get going then. She leaps off the edge without fear and...proceeds to float down thanks to her dress fanning out.

Yep. S'up, MarinaNova]

[Hikaru is one of the few(?) really excited, chipper people, totally enthused about this move! People definitely won't have to hear him complain about being bored for a while!]

Despite all this chaos, it's kind of neat, and I feel like a lucky guy! I haven't lost anyone that I'm aware of, and I've been here so long, it was time for a change! Exploring prison got really boring a long time ago, and now we have a new one! Think of all the new games we have to play, and new things we'll be able to see!

Have you even taken a moment to breathe and look around? From upscale restaurants, to fresh new amenities, to new commoner goods to explore, let's play a game and race to see who can visit all the new places first!

[He applauds!]

Bravo, artificial intelligence of all kinds, wardens, for bringing us these new things! Bravo!

[And now he holds up a finger!]

As for these ugly jumpsuits, never fear! It's no big deal, changes can and will be made soon! I'm sure of it! And if not, I'm sure we'll find ways to make our very own customizations!

[ Why the long faces, People of Marina Nova? There is someone here who isn't as happy with this latest change in events but she was determined to do what she does best. Not only that, she is hoping that this would get the anger and frustration out of her system.

Sheryl Nome lives to sing --- and that moment she wanted to remind herself of the life she chose to live.

She was the Galaxy Fairy ... no matter what galaxy she is taken to.

The feeds start with a shaky view of the stage. It was the stage from the amphi-theatre. Moments later, Sheryl comes out and wearing an all too sexy bunny outfit. She turns to the camera and gives a coquettish smile and wink ... but when the camera gave another shake again, she frowned at the person behind the camera. ]

Hold still, Gino ...

[ Her Galaxy Fairy persona returned though as music began to play and she proceeded to dance. ]

EVERYONE, LISTEN TO MY SONG!

I am your white bunny
Jumping and diving in an innocent glide
The Milky Way spills in the galaxy
Hey, I want to eat that candy star

I am your black bunny
A rowdy sexy flag
If I show you my hip line it’s dangerous
At my wink signal, dive into my cleavage

Pure heart, go and violate my exposed skin
To the point that you can not be reborn
If you intensely struggle for it
The crying angel is, watch out, a demon

Day 174 - Welcome to MarinaNova

[You're in a new prison and free!

Well, free to look around anyway. Maybe you'll pick your pet up from the pet cafe or search the pile for your personal items before someone else gets to them first. You could be inspecting the barrier around sector six. Did you just hear something scratching it from the other side? Maybe you want to find the nearest clothing store and upgrade from prisoner-chic to something a little more you. Maybe you appeared somewhere awkward and could use a hand with that. It could be you're just wandering around, familiarizing yourself with the new space.

Whatever it is, you're welcome to do it here.]
