I need a hug. I went a little nuts today and I'm not sure what happened. I spent like crazy money and then I and I bothered Tyler. I'm kinda freaking out.

I didn't want to just [...] ask all of P:A about this, so I'm hoping you can help me out. Someone messed with my head today, took away all my impulse control. I kept buying things until my card got declined and even that didn't stop me and couldn't stop, and then I accosted a friend. I don't know how or where it happened, just sometime after I got out of class, before around 4 pm. I'm better now, but I'm scared really bothered that someone did that.

My friend and I just went in for that private lab's genetic testing, the one on the flyers everywhere. It's run by a man calling himself Dr. Blankenship, and he can manipulate blood. He is a psychopath. He's not drawing blood into vials or doing any testing; he's directing it somehow. He tried to use it to attack us when he ran. You need to check out his lab now.

Ken is okay, but that quack running the blood study almost hurt him. It was a huge mistake to go there.

Dare me to do Undateables. I read it all the time, and it just looks more hilariously tempting now.

The beach yesterday was great! Did everyone get home safe and hopefully unburnt?

We've all had a rough time lately, and I think we should all get together for the 4th and do something fun. I say Coney Island Beach....it's free, we can bring our own stuff, maybe go on a few rides, then have a good view of the fireworks. Ksyu, Roge, Paul, Ken, Trey, Noelle, G, Olly (bring Matt), Shelby, Azure...I'm just gonna keep listing off people until you all agree. Friend time would be so boss right now. And bring plus-ones for all I care, just come.

I'm so bummed I missed the unicorn party, but I was super sick. I wish that was a side effect of atavism; you never get ill again! And of course the new Atagram app hits right when I look like death warmed over. No selfie game today. Anyway, it sounds like it was fun. Is there going to be a repeat soon?

I'm moving next week. Anyone want to help me lift heavy things? By which I mean, we bitch about all my things and I buy lots of beer and pizza.

The last show ever of Ringling Bros' Barnum & Bailey Circus is on the 21st here in NY (Long Island, to be specific, I guess). Like, ever ever. That got me thinking. Why hasn't some enterprising atavist started a circus with fellow powered people? Some of those acts would be boss, much better than anything you can see now.

Also, I picked the grad program at NYU. Back to school in the fall!

I just spent the last hour complaining to my plants about my mother pestering me about making rakhi for Raksha Bandhan (I'll explain it if you want). It's basically a thinly veiled excuse to see if there are men in my life that I don't see as 'brotherly'. THE HOLIDAY IS IN AUGUST, MOM.

Then I realized I had talked to my plants for an hour. An hour. I am now the crazy plant lady. THE CRAZY PLANT LADY.

Whatever, still better than cats.

I may or may not be cracking under the stress of choosing a grad school.

Alright, so it's been a little bit of a roller coaster here, but...help? Grad school discussion time!

Backing it up a little, and if school stuff turns your brain inside out, please skip. Sooooo, I had originally applied to NYU for their Genomics and Systems Biology program, but I was on the fence because if I don't capitalize on having the power to actually talk to plants, how foolish would that be? I had to rule out Rutgers program on Plant Biology because their main campus for those classes was in New Jersey. That led me to CUNY, which offers a PhD in Plant Sciences, and which I technically qualified for since my undergrad work was biology. I got the acceptance to NYU back in February, but I just now got the message from CUNY that I just got accepted on the April 15th deadline (I had been waitlisted). That does mean I was not first choice for CUNY, but does that matter? In is in, right? Should I take NYU, where I was first pick for the faculty (so I likely have people in my corner already) or CUNY, knowing that I can definitely do great in that program (but it is most certainly more difficult and I may not be high on anyone's list)?

Jeez, I wish I kissed more ass with my professors before now. Stress!

I've done (and updated) the important ones like suits, coffee, burgers, tailors, milkshakes, and takeout plenty of times. And last month coffee mugs was there. Oh and chocolate was in December and it's too soon to update that one.

This is amaaazing! I can practically hear my plants talking! I think I've been awake for the last twenty four hours just listening. Then I went for a walk in Central Park and even with so much dormant for the winter oh my god it felt so good and maybe I will just live here in this tree...
