A reminder to everyone that the Spring/Summer semester of classes here at Project: Ascension will be wrapping up come September — good luck on your finals if you have any! — and new classes will be posted over the weekend. Classes for the Fall/Winter semester begin Monday, September 11th. Our apologies that it happens to fall on the memorial day; there will be a moment of silence at the beginning of each of our classes in remembrance.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone rounded up any new recruits besides my sister, lately? Or are there any potential recruits at the moment that people are working on? We're still dealing with the fallout of some of the more recent incidences, so I imagine it won't be easy right now. Has anyone been working on a potential recruit who has distanced themselves because of any of the past events?

We'll be doing a little shuffle with mentorship assignments going forward. Allen, you're with me; Pérez, you'll be working under Bellamy. Gordon and I will confer on your training so that neither of you fall behind in your training.

Project: Ascension is going to start asking for volunteers for genetic testing, to try to isolate the gene associated with atavism, whether various powers are genetically indicated, et cetera. We're one of the few families with so many atavists, so I think it's important that we all participate. It's up to each of you, though. It'll require signing a release to let the Project take genetic samples.

Power Control 102: Write a paragraph on how comfortable you feel with your power, and rate where you feel like you lie on a scale from 1-10 (1 having the least control, 10 having the most).
Scientific Powers: Your next class is going to meet at the New York Hall of Science in Queens, so please make sure you get there on time. Your assignment is to pick one scientist who made advances in a field directly related to your power and how it functions. Bonus points if it's a woman.
