Everywhere I've gone this week, it's been free food, endless streams of selfies, and I even got to rescue a cat from a tree, which was nostalgic. I could get seriously used to this.

Hands down though, being able to tell my brothers has been the best part. "Well no, I didn't bitch out and quit being a firefighter to be a personal trainer. I've actually been a secret agent for years now, and now I'm a superhero."
Pretty sure a couple of them actually turned green. So that ruled.

Here's hoping it keeps catching and turns things around with the baselines.

[P:A Leadership + Jesse + Colby]

Here's the briefing on how the undercover mission at Baseline Mingle, there's a full report on file, but here's a rundown;

Trainee Agent Walker and I arrived shortly after the doors opened for the event and did our best to mix in with the crowd, keeping an eye out for anything suspicious, with Jesse using his power to occasionally scan the crowd.
As a sidenote, we might want to do some kind of psych seminar because there are a lot of baselines who want to bang an atavist, and even I think that's kind of sketchy.
There was no real trouble, with the exception of one guy who talked about a 'society' and 'standing up to these freaks', but he didn't do anything or say anything concrete. Something to watch, though.

I know I've talked about this before, but it is super relevant right now.
The public knows about atavists. A bunch of people want to know our identities and personal information. Some of us still have to operate in the field.

Found this earlier today, it seems like such a magical place. Let's go Liftindor!!!

This semester are they semesters, I won't be teaching Healthy Body, Healthy Power (but guys, if you still want to meet up and discuss goals and plans, just hmu I can always make time for you). Instead I'm going to shift it into Team Sports; Dodgeball Defenders! Where we'll get together once a week, split into teams, and play a just-for-fun game. It won't always be dodgeball, I just liked the way it sounded. The goal is to get us working up a bit of a sweat, learning how to use our powers in fun, inventive ways, and also just letting us all hang out a little. It'd be awesome to see some of you there!

I'll also be teaching Community Outreach: How To Help Each Other which is pretty self-explanatory. We'll go over things like basic first aid, what to do in case of a power mishap, and ways in which we can be prepared to help each other out as a community.

Briefing, after Agent Mostafa and I dealt with the 'Wolverine of Wall Street' case. (Note; Consider changing this to 'Douchebag Daken', way more fitting.)

Working off of a lead provided by Trainee Galloway, we approached Hannibal 'Hal' Rothman and Leander Bloom at Rothman's home address. A fight ensued, with power use on both sides, but Agent Mostafa and I managed to restrain and apprehend them with minimal damage.

They were brought to GI for treatment and processing and it has been decided that due to them not knowing about atavism and an argument of self-defense, they will face no charges for the fights they got in.

They've been treated, registered, informed about atavism, given all the pamphlets, been given a warning, and are now on their way back to wherever you build up that much weird.

I know things have kind of sucked hard recently. ...but have we not hazed the trainees yet? We've got a lot of them right now.

So
I'm the first one out of medical (some bruises and a burn or two, nothing major), so I figure I should take the briefing.

We rescued Nika, and have secured MAL's safehouse. They managed to get some of their gear out in the fight, but there's still some stuff there for us to look over.
No MAL arrests.

Dio suffered heavy injuries, and is being treated in medical. Nika didn't seem injured, but medical is checking her out after they had her for so long. Nero was hurt, but thanks to his powers he's managed to regenerate.

Dio probably got his injuries fighting Galloway. He chased after him and we're guessing engaged on Kosciuszko Bridge. It was a mess when we got there to evac him.
Davenport was on site, too. Nero engaged him. Gave as good as he got judging by how he looked when he teleported out. BastarHe sucker-punched me and pinned me with his powers, so I couldn't stop him.
I fought with an unknown MAL female. She made some kind of energy bombs that she could throw around. Smart fighter, so she's probably been with them a while.

Hey guys, don't forget that the Annual P:A Softball tournie is coming up on Saturday. We'll be playing on GI, and all proceeds from the game go to helping Greenwich House, so it's a good cause. Turn out to play, to cheer, or to just drink a couple of beers in the sunshine. It'll be awesome! And I can promise that because yours truly is captaining the P:A team this year.

Yours truly is also turning 30 tomorrow, and only becoming more awesome because of it. You can leave gifts, cakes, and epic tributes at my place. But the party is going to have to wait, because my brothers have called dibs on 'surprising' me tomorrow. So how does Saturday sound? Come one, come all. I'll bust out the grill at my place after the game, we can get our grub on, then get all fancy and hit up Throwback and the usual spots. It will be epic! ...and probably lead to awesome hangovers, too.

Initially I was super bummed that Atagram being atavist-exclusive meant that I could never get as high a follower count as my insta, but then I realized that follows are follows, so I've made my peace with it. Follow me!

So because I got yelled at a lot the last time I worked on bettering myself and my performance in the field, I figured I should check this time. When is a good time for me to be breaking the sound barrier and being the fastest thing on the planet?

I forgot about the best part of GI being open to the public again. The phone numbers!

Hand to god, I got like. 50 on my jogs today. And a couple of insta follows!

So, as we get into Spring and leave the horrible garbage fire that was Winter behind us, I think we're all thinking about the same thing.

Getting in shape for Summer!

Well, don't worry, because P:A has you covered there. Agent Finch-Greenberg and I are going to be putting together a sports meetup every other weekend. Nothing serious, no scoring. Just a chance to get out there, get active, get social, and probably get some beers afterwards.

The first one is going to be Sunday, May 7th on Governer's Island. The sport? Dodgeball.

I almost forgot, but I think it was really great that so many of us showed up for the Throwback Auction. Great show of support.

And thanks again for making sure I didn't get sold for $85 to a guy who is probably in MAL. If I turn up dead in New Jersey, you'll know why.

So am I the only one who's noticed that the network chatter about us seems a little negative? Like, people are talking about us microchipping people, and bribing people to snitch, and I feel like this time tomorrow they're going to be saying we waterboard people (...we don't, right?). So maybe we need to consider something that makes us look, i dunno, friendlier?

So I got to thinking (and because I know that people will say 'no' if I try suggesting a Project: Ascension calendar again) and two words; Softball League.

It'd be outside, and sunshine makes people happy.
It'd be exercise, and exercise endorphins make people happy.
We could talk to places like Rooster, Throwback, and maybe even Greenwich to see if they wanted to field teams.
Get enough teams and we could have a friendly league going. Give people in the community a chance to get to know us on friendlier terms and maybe relax around us?

And the best part is, even if we couldn't spare the manpower to make a P:A team, I could handle it solo.

I don't know about everyone else, but the prospect of Throwback's Valentine's Auction has me seriously stepping my workout game up. I'm going to try to develop an extra ab or two. I don't know if that's medically possible, but #atavism?
