I know a lot of you guys are busy trying to get tf away from the Way to move ASAP, but what happened at Throwback isn't okay and there has to be something we can do. I'm not talking just about reaching out to those who were affected and helping them even though I'm talking about that too because god knows it's needed. Anything we can do to help now in that regard we really need to do too.

I'm talking about maybe a sort of outreach to connect atavists with baselines, show the rest of the world that most of us don't think we're better than them, most of us aren't violent, most of us aren't monsters. Most of us are normal people trying to live normal lives. No it's not going to fix the problem today or even tomorrow but hopefully it will in the long run. And considering how important I think it is to keep Greenwich a safe haven we can distance the Greenwich locations and even the Greenwich name from whatever we do. It's not like we need or want the credit, that's not what this is about. I don't know what exactly we can do rn but......

Thoughts or am I being too idealistic for my own good?

Landed my first commercial audition since before rehearsals started for oh my god the afternoon before our first preview performance, and after watching my favorite video to get my confidence up for auditions (aka- as long as I don't do THAT, I'll be fine), it got me wondering:

What's the craziest/weirdest commercial you've ever seen?

Japanese commercials don't count. That's too easy.

I had a thought that I wanted to run by you: tutoring. They say the best way to learn is to teach, right, and I'll have some free time after Tuesday. Audiokinesis is applicable to a few other types of superpowers that deals with not just sound but vibrations, waves, etc. I don't know, what do you think?

It's the week before tech, which means this is probably going to be my only real opportunity to promote the show I'm in to the atavist community before previews start, so here we go:

"The 38th Parallel" is a new musical about a family that's torn apart during and as a result of the Korean War back at the start of the Cold War. The show has been in development for a few years now and is finally making its debut at [name of off-Broadway theatre].

Previews begin on September 12, and the show will officially open on September 23, and we're currently scheduled to run through December. Tickets are on sale now here. For more information about the show itself, including a crash course history lesson, here is the official 38th Parallel website.

I wish I could give my favorite four of you guys my comps, but I already promised them to a couple of producers and directors I met at [...] a function I went to earlier this month. If you can't make it because ticket prices are dumb and the discount days don't work with your schedules because the discount days are weird, I understand! If you can only make it to one show, I'll try to let you know when I get to play the part I'm understudying as soon as I know.

Also unrelated, I haven't been on the network in a week. Did I miss anything other than that one Project post?

— I'm also understudying one of the lead roles. You can't see me, but I'm totally bouncing off the walls. I'd scream, but I think I'd get in trouble by the Project. 😜

Hopefully this means that after a couple of weeks, I won't have to serve another cup of coffee ever again, but at least this means that I won't have to serve another cup of coffee again for a few months! We'll see what happens after the show closes. 😅

There is something so unfair that the cheapest Yankees tickets for Sunday is $50. It's Derek Jeter night AND Masahiro Tanaka is most likely pitching? COME ON. No justice for the perpetually broke. :( Anyway, since none of my baseline friends like baseball or are total Mets fans (which I am too, but Masahiroooooooo), anyone want to meet me at a sports bar somewhere to watch the game? Or at least recommend a sports bar, I actually don't really know of any.
