Why was my vacation request denied?

Apparently my sister drove to South Carolina to do some kind of "eclipse ritual" for "blessings in the coming decade." So if anybody's feeling blessed today, that's why! And don't throw away your glasses, because we're supposed to get another one in 2024.

It could be argued that for about half an hour today, I got to be Spiderman. Sadly, I was too busy dealing with an acid burn to try climbing a wall barehanded, and now the opportunity has passed me by. I feel a little cheated.

So my boss is the third sweetest man ever and has delivered me the keys to his place on Fire Island for the weekend so we're all set to go to celebrate the tied-for-first sweetest man ever's 28th (that's Ari you dorks).

We're going to be heading up on Thursday so that the place will be ready for y'all on Friday. Feel free to bring whatever booze, snacks, poppers, etc. you feel like.

24 hours later and through Very Scientific tests I can confirm that it is true that the solar eclipse doesn't do shit for waterbenders. The full moon doesn't either tho. Boo.
