Sim was excited. She'd finally be able to understand everything everyone was saying. Whether or not the slang would be understandable or not was still up in the air. At least she would be able to work in her classes, which them in themselves were hard enough when she couldn't read the material. With the components she needed, Sim was set at a table, dressed in her usual worn out tee and jeans, barefoot from it being rather warm inside. People looked at her weird, but she was used to it.

When a blond woman came at sat with her though, she smiled. "Pearl, yes?" She said, hoping that she was getting her name right.

Still covered in paint and having been working for most the night without realising, Tiger walked out of his dorm and out to the car. It was a cool night but not so bad that he minded going to get Pearl. A stranded damsel needed his help! He was like rent-a-knight. Always there to save the day when fair maidens needed him.

This thought and the rock music from his radio kept him entertained for the 15 minute drive to the bar, when he slowed down and made sure he looked out for her. Maybe a beep of the horn would do it... failing that he dialled her number to see where she was hiding.

Pearl really wasn't looking forward to this talk. It wasn't like she and Vinnie had ever been official, just sort of getting closer, but she was sure he wouldn't be thrilled by her antics before she went to Vegas. Something HAD been happening between the two of them, even if it never quite reached anything. She'd just been so confused after what happened with Will that exactly WHAT had been growing between her and Vinnie....well that she wasn't sure of, and it was driving her mad trying to work out what to do, so she left. Almost two weeks away from the school and from both men, a lot of time spent with just the open road and her own thoughts, had cleared her hed a little, and Pearl thought she knew what needed to happen. They needed to talk, to get on the same page. Shame that logic didn't make it any easier.

Picking up her little gift she saw on her trip and bought him, the witch set off for Vinnie's room, casual in jeans and her college hoodie. She knocked gently, put on a small smile, and waited for him to open the door. Here goes.

He hadn't thought that going back to clearing his dorm room with the option to keep half his stuff there would end up with a phone call from a sexy blonde - a booty call no less. It was supposed to have been a theraputic process where he was able to move on and get James and Devon out of his head.... it hadn't worked until Pearl had called. Their conversation had turned heated within ten seconds and the angel was quite surprised that she was so quick to come over. The sight that greeted him outside of his room was that of the most incredible looking girl he'd ever laid eyes on. Pleased? Oh yes.

She'd barely have time to see his smirk before he tugged her into the room, kicking the door shut and keeping their bodies flush together. His hands nestled on the small of her back so that she wouldn't be able to move away and he looked her over, humming. "All mine?"

What: Going for drinks so they can talk.

Damn that bloody angel putting ideas and doubts into her head about Vinnie. Of course talking to Rocky about it hadn't helped ease those too much either. Something better not to discuss online? That just sounded ominous. So they would go for drinks, talk in person. Pearl liked that idea anyway, she liked the other woman, even considering who her brother was, it would be cool to get out together.

True to her word, 15 minutes after they stopped talking on the computer, Pearl was dressed and waiting by the gates for Rocky to arrive. The cab hadn't arrived yet, but should be due any minute though, so she hoped that she wouldn't be too long.

It was a cold night, but the sky was clear without a threat of snow. Nox wouldn't have minded. He liked snow, and it would have been a beautiful sight to behold from within the massive glass room. Still, the twinkle lights on the bare trees that adorned the courtyard were lovely. They added a touch of magic that would have otherwise been missing.

What: A 'talk'

Ok, so technically Pearl was meant to be waiting for the go ahead from Will on having this 'discussion' with James, but that just felt mean. Mean to the angel that was. She didn't want him to feel bad for basically setting it up, so instead she was going to do this on her own.

The witch had a basic idea of who was where, so she knew that neither Will nor Devon were around to witness anything as she made her way up to the apartment the McCafferty-Grey family were sharing while James was back, and knocked on the door. Once opened there were no witty comments, no preamble, Pearl just walked into the apartment, turned back to face him, and punched the demon in his pretty little face with all her strength, which, luckily for James, wasn't much compared to the damage some in this place could do. "Why are you such a dick?" She asked with frustration, although she hardly expected a reply on that one.

What: Saving the sad witch from her mind.
Where: Grounds of the school.
When: Tuesday afternoon.

Pearl was feeling a little... lonely, which was sort of ridiculous for a girl who was in a school with lots of people she knew and that knew her, and plenty that would chat with her, but there it was. This type of loneliness wasn't about how many people there were around that she could talk to, but more about the people she couldn't talk to, the ones who had left holes in her life.

Then to top it off she'd just had a bad day in general today, spells fizzling, some going wrong, not being able to concentrate properly, and so she was trying to chill out... In a tree....whilst rolling a joint. Even that she wasn't having much luck with though. A slip of her fingers and the lighter fell out of Pearl's hand, tumbling to the ground below her, making her swear. A couple of seconds later after she shoved the rest of the things in her pocket and palmed the joint, she peeked down to see where it fell.

What: Switch of babysitters.
Where: Rocky's room to start.
When: Middle of the night.

When James told her she needed to find Will, Pearl had been worried, thinking she was going to end up going out to some bar in the middle of nowhere to pick him up, or worse, someone's house. She certainly hadn't expected him to be across the hall in Rocky's room. It didn't even occur to her to leave him there though, go back to sleep like a sensible person might at that time in the morning. No, instead she threw on some clothes and took the two steps across the hallway to the other woman's door, firing off a text to say she was outside, so as not to disturb anyone else in the wing with knocking.

What: Halloween Festivities
Where: The Whole School
When: Evening into the night

What was once a place of learning had quickly been transformed into an almost unrecognizable playground. The staff, as they had done at the back to school mixer, had gone to great lengths to create a Halloween Party that would make any but the most stubborn of people leave their problems back home. From the commons room, to the facilities, to the very grounds themselves, everything was being utilized to provide the most extravagant celebration many of the new students would ever have seen.

The commons room was being utilized as a cinema for the evening, playing a mixture of classic, and modern horror movies, from Frankenstein and the Wolf man, to the recently released remake of Halloween. There was also a list so students could make requests if there wasn’t enough interest in any of the movies being shown.

As per the last celebration, their were many areas for students to enjoy a wide variety of music, with a techno style dance club in the dance studio, complete with lack light and disco balls and a personal DJ. The pool was filled with floating candles and flowers, with soft music produced by a string quartet wafting through the room, and the music room was home to a small dance floor which was driven by a man playing graceful classic tunes on the piano.

In the lounge of the rec hall, there were various games for any willing participants, including bobbing for apples, and a game where you could supposedly tell the first initial of the person you were destined to marry by how the skin fell when peeling an apple. There were also fortune tellers and palm readers, real of course. After all, in a school that catered to such gifts, it was easy to stir up a few willing participants. There was also a wide variety of Fall themed treats, not only candy but also traditional pumpkin stuffs, and other like dishes.

However, the main attraction was a haunted house trail that ran the length of the grounds, and which had a few special surprises put in place by the staff. Though, of course, the goal wasn’t to completely terrify the students, it certainly would not be your normal haunted house trail, and there was a posted sign warning those less brave of students to not risk the terrors that awaited within.

Pearl wasn't quite sure how they had ended up at this point. They had just been joking about money and things, and somehow it ended up with her asking him to marry her, and him saying... yes? Now they had set up a plan for how to get the ring as well. Strange days. Very strange days.

Having driven herself down to the arcade he told her to meet him at, Pearl locked her car, grabbed her camera and her bag, and wandered around, looking for Tiger himself.

What: The Dance!
When: Friday Night

It had been a bit of a scramble putting the rec center together in the few hours between when the inspectors left and the start of the mixer, but in true TJS fashion it was not only accomplished, but fairly spectacular. The upper level gymnasium had been cleared and decorated as a dance floor, with a DJ booth and flashing strobe lights mixed amongst the streamers. The adjacent basketball court held nine different buffet tables, ranging from finger foods to simple entrees to intricate desserts. Here there were chairs and sofas scattered throughout, a haven from the noisy dance floor to socialize.

There were a few members of the security staff, as well as a few teacher chaperones, but even with the watchful eye of the staff, there was a sense of relief and informality in the air. This wasn't just a welcome back celebration for the students, but a victory party, a relieving hurrah for everyone as the hellish state inspection had finished, and the schools doors were to stay open. Despite the differences, the cliques, the friends and enemies made, the school had banded together and survived, and the comeraderie was almost tangible this night.

What: Discovering somebody was silly enough to make them neighbours.
Where: Their rooms, 'I' wing.
When: Friday afternoon.

To be completely honest Pearl had no idea who else lived in her wing. She only moved her stuff to her new room on the Wednesday evening after she finished work and then she passed out and slept well into the next morning. Even when she did get up, washed and dressed (loving the ensuite facilities they now had), she went out to the shops to get some bits and pieces for her room and to put in the kitchen area and then went to work again, so she really hadn't had much chance.  

It was somewhere in the afternoon on Friday when she was in her room, moving stuff around, and she heard familiar music coming from the room next to her, room 9. Who was playing it didn't really register in her brain, she just found herself laughing as she remembered hearing it while hanging out with Will, and she continued on doing what she was doing. It was when the next song came on, and once again triggered some sort of reaction in her brain that made her think of the fallen angel that she started to wonder...... Well, there was one way to find out. 

Barely five seconds later she knocked on his door, prepared to use the excuse of needing a screwdriver if it was someone she didn't know at all.

What: Pearl is drinking and runs into a classmate.
Where: A bar in Boston
When: Wednesday evening

After Pearl hung up on Will she spent a while lying face down on her bed, frustrated by the situation and annoyed with herself. As if it wasn't bad enough that she fought with Jacob the month before, she had to end up fighting with Will too. What was wrong with her? The more she thought, the worse she got though, so eventually she got up and went out. She didn't have any specific in mind, she just wanted somewhere to drink.

An hour later she was well into her plan, a few shots down, her third bottle of beer in one hand and her phone in the other as she checked to see if she had any messages. Putting the phone down again when she saw none, she sighed and drank, unaware of anyone even remotely familiar.

What: Pearl brings the boys breakfast
Where: James' apartment
When: Saturday morning

Pearl had been awake for a couple of hours before she started looking around James' kitchen. The witch had got in sometime during the middle of the night and been let in by James. After the day she'd had, with the car breaking down and her being stuck in some town until it was fixed, she'd fallen asleep almost as soon as she was left alone, but after a few hours she woke up again and just couldn't get back to sleep.

At about nine she was too bored to care if the boys were still trying to sleep so she made french toast and three cups of tea and crept into their bedroom. Setting the stuff down on the nearest surface Pearl crawled onto the bed and then pounced Will to wake him up.

When: Wednesday Night
Where: Common Room then Out
What: A girl's night out.

There was always so much to consider when going out, especially for Tess. Not only did she have to come with something to wear, she had to decide on hair color, eye color, whether she wanted to look like her usual self or whether she wanted to take on a part of someone else. And tonight was no different. She wanted to make a good first impression, always. But nothing seemed to suit her this evening. And in spite of the fact that she was wearing one of her favorite party dresses, she still felt like something was missing. And she frowned at herself in the mirror a few more times before she finally headed out to meet with Pearl.

She had decided to go with red hair tonight. That always seemed to be her favorite and she seemed to get more attention as a redhead than she did as a brunette or even a blond in most cases. Her hair was down, hanging in soft curls that framed her face. Her skin was pale, lips red, and her blue eyes were accentuated by the dark eyeshadow and eyeliner that she wore. She arrived in the common room precisely on time, eyes scanning the crowd for her companion.

Who: Addie, Jacob and Pearl
Where: the underground room on campus
When: afternoonish
What: potentially making an art gallery.

It had taken some hard work and it'd still require more, but at last Jacob was able to show Addie what he had done so far. He couldn't wait to see the reaction on her face and headed towards his sister's room first, knocking on the door. "Hey," he said. "Ready to go?" He hoped that she wouldn't take too long so he could get to Addie's place. It was almost sad that he was so excited, but he was going to make this epic. Why couldn't he show off a little?

Then again, it could be said that part of his reason for being was to show off, because everyone had to know how powerful he was. He waited for Pearl and then led the way to knock on Addie's door. "Come on, Ice Grenade!" he called. "I am not going to wait for very long!" He hoped that was enough reason for her to hurry so he could get a move on - the more work they could get done on the gallery, the better.

What: A night out and bonding
Where: Starting in a club in town and then to James'?
When: Friday night

Pearl forgot how much she enjoyed going out with Will. Ok so she enjoyed staying in with him too but nothing quite beat the combination of drinks, dancing, music and her favourite angel, especially at the moment with Jacob feeling so down and Pearl not having a clue how to make things better for her twin. A night out, letting herself relax and just live in the moment was exactly what she needed.

They'd been in the club about an hour so far, dancing with each other mainly and drinking. Quite a few people had their eyes on them since they arrived. How could they not? Will and Pearl were incredibly hot as they danced together and did body shots off each other, which was exactly what they were doing right now. Pearl was laughing as she held the shotglass with her boobs, lime in her lips.

What: Pearl wants comfort
Where: Jacob's room
When: Wednesday evening.

It was stupid really. It had been four a half days since Will went missing and she knew that people were trying to find him, that she'd done almost everything she could possibly think of doing herself to help but still tonight she lay there in bed, unable to get to sleep. She hadn't been sleeping well really since Ophie mentioned seeing Will with his parents. Eventually somewhere in the middle of the night she'd drift off for a couple of hours but the worry and the lack of sleep was showing. She looked tired, her spells were going wrong, even some of the simpler ones that she normally barely had to think about, she wasn't paying attention in classes. She didn't realise quite how deeply she cared for her friend until this happened, and now she was terrified he wouldn't be coming back.

There really was no point in staring at the ceiling of her room for hours again tonight so, around midnight, she slipped out of her room and crept through the corridors until she found herself at her twin's door, not having really been sure where she was headed until she got there. A simple lock opening spell (which thankfully didn't blow up in her face) and she padded into Jacob's room in her pyjamas and socks, climbing into his bed without a single word.

What: Make-up, shopping, junk food, hanging out.
Where: Starting in Pearl's room and then going into town.
When: Saturday mid morning.

Pearl couldn't help but smile as she spoke to Will on his journal, and feel sorry for him as she read about Fisher and James. She knew a fair amount of what had been the situation with them previously since Will had filled her in before spring break so she could understand why he'd find it crappy, even if she didn't know every last detail of it all. She had to wonder how much of his kidding around and flirting was just a cover up, but there was nothing she could really do except try and distract him so that was what she'd do. Shopping and truly fattening food and drink seemed to be the order of the day.

Waiting for him to make his way over to her room she guessed she should probably get dressed. She'd already showered but hadn't got that far past that in her morning routine. No she was still sitting there in a towel with damp hair. Shortcuts were going to have to be brought into play here. A simple spell dried her hair into soft waves which she just ran her fingers through and threw into a ponytail until she knew what she was wearing. Underwear was next, but that was as far as she got before Will arrived, so throwing a pale blue robe over her bra and panties she opened the door to him. "Good timing. You can use my make-up while I finish getting dressed." She smiled to him, leaning in to kiss his cheek before walking back into the room and going for her wardrobe.
