Who: Lelia and Nathaniel
Where: The Library
When: After Supernatural History
What: Two classmates get better acquainted.

Lelia's head was swimming. With classes in full swing she was excited to be back in a learning environment, but she already had three assignments and she was almost regretting taking the advanced English course when she still didn't know how to control her powers, the whole reason she was here. After all, that was why she was here to learn control and then...what? Go back to her life of being a librarian? Wasn't this the chance she had always wanted? Higher learning?

She shook her head to her own thoughts and stepped into the aisle that contained the National Enquirer articles. She'd chosen to do a little more research on vampires, since she herself knew very little about them and wanted to get over her pre-built perceptions. After all, she was going to be living with these people, taking classes with them. It wouldn't do to be terrified of them when they meant her no harm.

She found the article with no problem, her twelve years of being a librarian being good for something, and noticed one of the students from her class also perusing the rows of magazines. She stared at him for a moment, trying to remember any details but finding herself drawing a blank. She really was a failure when it came to people. Then when she realized she was staring she turned quickly, blushing, and opening the magazine she had picked to make sure it held the article she was looking for.

Who: Nathaniel and Ruby
When: afternoon
Where: the library
What: meeting in person and talking.

There was only so much planning one could do before classes start and Nathaniel had done quite a bit of reading to pass the time. Unfortunately, he finished the books he checked out last week, so now a return trip to the library was necessary. He left his room in the early afternoon and made the walk safely to the place, already feeling content as soon as he reached it. The library was his sanctuary, where he was most relaxed amongst the aisle of books and the aura of calm learning in the air. How could anyone not love it? They'd have to respect the space as somewhere other people were learning.

He looked at a table near the wall to make a note of where it was for later and hoped it would still be free when he returned. Something told him yes, but anything could happen. His habit was to wander to the aisle where they had biology books and now was no different. Just out of curiosity, Nathaniel picked a random textbook and flicked through it with a smile here and there at certain sections he saw. Blood was an important part of his life, even more so physically now, and he stopped on a part in one of the chapters about it. The reading made him pensive and Nathaniel walked back to the table he chose earlier with a few books he found interesting. It took a moment to realize that he was not going to be alone at the table, but all things considered, he could handle that. "May I sit here?" asked Nathaniel quietly as he walked right up to it.

Who: Heather and Nathaniel
Where: Heather's office
When: early afternoon
What: Nathaniel pays her a visit to say hello.

It was the end of his first week adjusting to a new place and so far things had gone well, more or less. Nathaniel met a few potential friends, online and off, and he had Starbuck and Kamea too. All things considered, he had nothing to complain about, and hoped that meeting his staff sponser would be a good ending to his week. Finding her office took some work, but he managed it after a short while. The door was open and so all he had to do was knock on it before he entered. For a moment, he hesitated - meeting new people always required an inhalation of calming breath beforehand.

He looked into the room before he could help it and saw the figure of Heather, a dark-haired, toned woman who looked about his age. Appearances could be deceiving as she might be much older than him. Nonetheless, he'd give her all the respect and courtesy he usually gave people, even more so if she was his staff sponser. "Miss Jao - Heather?" he asked. Calling her by her first name made him a little uncomfortable. He had been in medicine where titles were used frequently, after all. Heather seemed friendly over e-mail but that didn't always correspond in person - he thought she would be nice, giving her the benefit of the doubt.

He hoped that he wasn't disturbing her. True, he could always come back later if she was busy because he was paranoid about that sort of thing. "Am I interrupting?" Small talk was not one of his strong points and he had no idea what to talk about with her besides asking her about baking. Nathaniel couldn't forget about that, not when he and Shizuka made plans for a Baking Club. He put a small smile on his face to seem less grumpy - both his mother and Adam were insistent that he scowled unconsciously and it was difficult to forget the talk they gave him. Just too serious all the time... well, he ought to change that.

Who: Peyton and Nathaniel
When: 7:00ish at night
Where: Indoor pool
What: a DATE (unless you ask Nate, he says it's just a 'social gathering'..lame)

Nathaniel said it wasn't gonna be a date, but Peyton wasn't the kind of girl who took no for an answer... at least not without a fight. She needed to deploy her 'weapons' this evening. Her smallest bikini - check. Waxed nether region - check. Actual makeup - check. And holy hell, her hair was fixed. She even put on a cute, red vintage dress... though she was wearing crazy patterned socks up to her knees and had on her favorite pair of combat boots. She struggled a bit with the girly girl image.

Once she was satisfied with her appearance, she snatched up a towel, her keys, and her cell, and skipped off to the boys' common room. She didn't want him getting lost. Nathaniel was new still, and the school was a bit tricky to navigate at times. Peyton was convinced it had been designed in such a confusing way to prevent any of the crazies from escaping back in the day. And considering some of the students (herself included) wanted to escape, it served a similar function now.

She spotted a boy she knew once she arrived in the common room, and flopped down on the couch with him, watching him play some lame car racing video game. "Ok, you do realize this game is a total waste of time, right?" Evan took his hand off the controller for a millisecond and flipped her off, "Go to Hell, Peyton." Peyton grabbed the controller out of his hand, yanked the cord from the game station, and hurled it across the room, "Fetch, asshole."

Who: Shizuka and Nate
When: Thursday around 2 PM
Where: The Library
What: Both of them had a penchant for baked goods!

Shizuka couldn't exactly decide if she liked this whole talking by journal thing or not. She was easily hurt or upset by things people said, she didn't have a clue how to react to most of the things people were talking about, but, on the other hand, she was talking to people, right? Well... sort of. Yeah... okay... she would go with that. It was closer than she normally got to talking to anyone. Of course, she also seemed to be faring on other people's journals rather than her own, so maybe it wasn't for her after all.

Talking about cake and cookies on someone else's journal had made her really crave some sweets, and not the kind that she was getting in the cafeteria. Now, she wasn't sure how on earth she was going to make them, as she wasn't part of the cooking club or anything, but maybe she could get a recipe for no-bake cookies or something. It was a long shot, but with the cooking club at this school having meetings, Shizuka thought it was only natural that they have a - probably small - section for cooking in the library.

With that in mind, she had already gotten lost in the library. At least, she was fairly sure she was lost. She couldn't remember what part of the 1200 section was for cooking and what was for, she couldn't remember, botany or something else weird like that. In fact, she was so intently looking at the numbers and titles of all the books that she didn't even realize she was going to bump into someone until... well, naturally, she did. It wasn't a hard bump, but it certainly made her backpedal for a second and hold her hands out. "S-s-sorry," She stammered, then tried to see if she could find her voice again outside of her normal mousy one. "I... didn't... I wasn't paying attention and..." She glanced up and realized the person in front of her was... "Wow, you're taller than me."
