What: Jang-Geum and Keagan find out why Adora had a miscarriage.

After leaving the infirmary with Astrid earlier, he took her to her room. He made sure she was cleaned, in pajamas, and had food to eat in case she did get hungry later. He sat with her and let her cry until she cried herself to sleep. He very gently laid her down and laid a blanket over her. He wrote her a quick note explaining he'd gone to check on Adora and headed back to the Infirmary.

He was not looking forward to anything that was about to happen. Yes, he had sat in with a number of autopsies over the years, but they were far different. They were also in the 15th and 16th century, and for the sake of discovery rather than... this. There was a bit of a detach when you didn't know the corpse. Keagan let out a deep breath before heading into the Infirmary.

He looked around for Jang-Geum, passing by the room where Adora and Duncan were. Adora was alseep and Duncan looked like he was either asleep or in deep thought sitting beside her, so he decided to let them be. He found Jang-Geum collecting tools in another room. "I'm here to help with the autopsy..."

Who: Rae, Fox, Jang-Geum
Where: The Infirmary
When: 6am, just after sunrise
What: Fox healed Rae, but now he needs medical attention!

The trip to the Infirmary had been shorter than it felt. The sun had risen behind them as they made their way. Rae had fallen quiet; she didn't know what to say. Fox had healed her and taken her injury onto himself. It was the most selfless act anyone had ever done for her that she could remember. Her tongue was in shock, even if the rest of her had recuperated.

By the time they got to the door she was sure Fox completely despised her for being such a reckless idiot. She disengaged herself from him and tiptoed forward. Someone was inside. She could hear them rattling about. Thank GOD. She had no idea what she was going to do otherwise. "HEY!" she said, and banged twice, hard, on the door. "HEY, OPEN UP."

Who: Adora, Astrid and Fox, then Jang-Geum, Duncan and Keagan
Where: Adora's desk, then to the Infirmary
When: Around 12 on Thursday
What: Adora realizes there's something wrong with the baby, but Astrid can't get her to the Infirmary on her own

What: Keagan stops by to meet the old friend he never expected to see again

What: Starbuck gets to meet his new mentor-type-person

This grass could not cook down quick enough, Jang-Geum had reasoned. Unfortunately, that was not something she could fix at this moment. She had no choice in the matter. After a quick visit to the headmistress's office, only to meet Adora and to kindly remind her that an appointment had to be made, she requested and was granted permission for a proper wood stove. It would be the only way for her to properly develop the medicines she had been making for the last five hundred years.

But, today, she had to make due with a poor excuse for an electric burner. And her mind was, unfortunately, not on the medicine at all. It was churning with doubts and concerns for Adora. That woman was so stubborn. Jang-Geum had expressed reservations from the beginning, but to think that she had been here for an entire month without any medicine or actual heatlhcare from a supernatural physician... Jang-Geum had great fears. Great, great fears for this child.

As Jang-Geum continued to work on the slow cooking of the natural grass she had found in a more wild part of the grounds, having dripped some liquid sulfur puree into it to work on her medicine, she did not realize she had been singing softly all this time, the words of her childhood slipping off her lips. "Onara, onara... aju ona... gadara gadara, aju ona..."

Who: Malakai and Jang-Geum
Where: The Infirmary
When: Sunday afternoon-ish, March 16th
What: Jang-Geum is having to unpack ALL her medicinal supplies and relabel them, so Malakai offered to help

This Infirmary had the smell of a place with too many people and not enough cleaning done. That had been Jang-Geum's first impression of the place as she walked through it. She had brought her entire six bins of herbs on a big cart, the kind found in a home improvement store, that she had brought with her, thanks to the movers who had brought her things here. So many changes to be made, so many things to be unpacked. She had even wondered if, perhaps, this had not been the right decision. The Headmistress had been more than happy to hire a doctor whose specialty was not in magical healing - a curious trait, Jang-Geum felt, that there were no doctors, only healers here.
