It was worrying for Tiger to have his friend threaten to leave for New York especially when it was his fault. After their fight yesterday he'd had a lot of pot, and had awoken some time Saturday afternoon to an email from Blue telling him very formally that she was thinking of moving back. That had given him a slap around the face to wake him up and he'd been anxious ever since he'd sent his reply. Yes, they needed to talk, because shit if his best friend was running off because he was handling things difficulty.

He sat in a vigil in his room as soon as the email was sent. He had shit to occupy himself with but every ten minutes or so he'd check the time and then sigh, with a very heavy feeling that Blue wouldn't turn up even if she had been the one to suggest a discussion. It was slowly sinking in that perhaps he'd lost her already.

Frankie was still an emotional wreck, but Tiger had managed to make her smile a few times during their conversation, and that was a vast improvement over crying all the time. She was glad he was coming over. Tiger had always been good at making her laugh. Maybe he'd cheer her up a bit. She needed it. The pot was very appealing too.

Her room was a bit of a disaster, but Frankie managed to pick up a few things before Tiger knocked on the door. "Just a sec!" she called out, stuffing some laundry into the hamper in her closet. At least no underwear or bras were strewn about, but her bed was a mess of dozens of blankets and pillows, and the trash can beside her night stand was overflowing with tear-stained tissues. Oh well.

She hurried over to the door and opened it, forcing a lopsided grin to her face. "Hey."

So this was Tiger's first real official date with Cissy. And possibly at all. He couldn't really class him asking Frankie to a gig one night as a date because he hadn't meant it as one. But with Cissy he'd actually made the move to ask her out officially because, well - she seemed like she needed some sort of outline of what they were doing and a little more stability than a booty call, so why not take her on a date? It wasn't going to be formal - he'd put on what he hoped was his smartest get up for their night out because it was casual and really would only be them hanging out eating a meal and doing whatever else she felt like. He wanted to make her smile.

Clearing his throat Tiger arrived at Cissy's place at around eight, knocking his arrival before he stepped back, waiting for her to answer.

After one of the most rollercoaster weeks of his life Tiger had finally been offered the one thing he hadn't thought to seek out. A drink. He'd run out of pot ages ago and he hadn't been able to stock up. Not that he'd thought about smoking the day away but Cherry seemed to know exactly what was called for. He was damn glad he'd rung her.

Pulling on his spare hoodie to brave the night air (he wasn't sure whether it'd be cold, but chances were with it almost being September in Boston the temperature would plummet sharply) Tiger made his way to his sponsor's apartment quite quickly. Seemed that he had an extra spring in his step at the promise of alcohol. Soon as he was at her door he rapped his arrival out with his knuckles on the wood before putting his hand back in his pockets.

Frankie was poking around on the internet, wasting time before bed, when she got a text from Starbuck. While the words didn't seem urgent, she was still worried when she saw that Tiger had been bitten and was in the infirmary. It must be bad if he was there and Starbuck was writing to tell her.

She rushed around her room, throwing on sneakers sans-socks and a hoodie. She was in her pajamas, which consisted of flannel pants and a tank top. Just before running out the door, she grabbed her cell phone and keys, then bolted through the hallways. As she ran, she thought over every possible terrible thing! Frankie's mind had a habit of doing that.

Nearly skidding as she hurried into the infirmary, Frankie's eyes darted around for Tiger. When she spotted him, he looked extremely pale but otherwise fine. Frankie sighed with relief as she walked over to him. "Starbuck texted me... I thought you'd be half dead!"

He'd been at her door twice a day since Tuesday. After Blue had gone effectively 'missing' he'd figured that she was either in her room or not around at all, so he'd taken a chance and tried for half an hour at a time outside the door. Coaxing didn't do any good, texts, voicemails. She wasn't online. It was only on Thursday that he got really concerned and after his walk with Rorie he'd decided enough was enough. Though he was small he was stronger than most people though.

With some determination Tiger steeled himself, calling to his friend once again. "Blue? It's Tiger. Again. If you don't answer in two seconds I'm gonna break down the door." Another knock. Then another. And yet - before he did the run up, Tiger did something he hadn't before. Turning the handle he found it was open - how simple! And how fucking dumb not to do that before.

Stepping into the dark abyss which was Blue's room Tiger blinked to try and get some light. "Blue?"

Rorie was probably the most excited he'd ever been in his life. He had a dog, a VERY big dog, and he was loving on it like there was no end. He waited outside for Tiger, talking and petting and kissing on Pete like he was the best thing ever. There was cooing and hugging and at one point Rorie even tried to hop on the dog. It was a great dane, therefor came up to Rorie's waist. He was able to balance for a few seconds before falling off. Rorie was in excited little kid mode just wollering the dog around as it stood there just hanging out.

Frankie was genuinely excited about getting guitar lessons. She'd picked around a few times, talked to Vinnie about maybe learning to play, but Frankie was really too busy when they were back in Chicago to devote herself to a project. She was working and going to school and trying to make it to Harvard. That plan was shelved for the time being, and without a boyfriend to keep her busy tonight, and no homework to do, she felt it would be a good time to start learning how to play.

Having always been a fan of music, pretty much all kinds, Frankie had visions of herself being a rock star. How many times had she danced around on her bed in her underwear with a hairbrush in hand as her microphone while singing along with the radio? Countless times! Now maybe she could jump around with a guitar, singing her own music.

She arrived at Tiger's room and knocked lightly. Frankie felt a little nervous about it being him to teach her. But maybe this would help them truly become friends again. She didn't like the way things ended, and perhaps they could both forget the past and just look ahead to a civil future.

It had been a bit of a scramble putting the rec center together in the few hours between when the inspectors left and the start of the mixer, but in true TJS fashion it was not only accomplished, but fairly spectacular. The upper level gymnasium had been cleared and decorated as a dance floor, with a DJ booth and flashing strobe lights mixed amongst the streamers. The adjacent basketball court held nine different buffet tables, ranging from finger foods to simple entrees to intricate desserts. Here there were chairs and sofas scattered throughout, a haven from the noisy dance floor to socialize.

There were a few members of the security staff, as well as a few teacher chaperones, but even with the watchful eye of the staff, there was a sense of relief and informality in the air. This wasn't just a welcome back celebration for the students, but a victory party, a relieving hurrah for everyone as the hellish state inspection had finished, and the schools doors were to stay open. Despite the differences, the cliques, the friends and enemies made, the school had banded together and survived, and the comeraderie was almost tangible this night.

Traveling was such a bitch, especially with a young baby in tow. Though she had flown once already, Grace didn't care for flying. The cabin pressure hurt her poor, young ears and she normally cried and fussed the entire trip. But that was okay. Cissy was looking forward to being home. And that made it all better. And it wasn't just because she had missed Ric or because she was looking forward to seeing Fisher before he left or that she had missed Devon and couldn't wait to see him again, it was also because of Tiger.

Tiger was an unexpected twist. She'd really only replied to Blue because she was bored and she had only messaged Tiger because he had a car and she needed a ride, but she genuinely liked him. They clicked. He made her feel flirtatious and pretty and alive and that was definitely exactly what she needed right now. So as she stepped off the airplane, bags slung over her shoulder and Grace in her carseat in the other hand, she had a bit of lightness to her step, looking forward to seeing the tattooed lad who hopefully would be waiting for her.

Cissy grinned as soon as she spotted him, which was easy to do because the goober really did bring a sign with him. And with a bright smile upon her lips, she cut through the crowd to greet him. "Hey there, hot stuff." Her voice was low and sultry before she giggled and then added in her usual voice, "I can't believe you really made a sign. How embarrassing!"

After Pearl hung up on Will she spent a while lying face down on her bed, frustrated by the situation and annoyed with herself. As if it wasn't bad enough that she fought with Jacob the month before, she had to end up fighting with Will too. What was wrong with her? The more she thought, the worse she got though, so eventually she got up and went out. She didn't have any specific in mind, she just wanted somewhere to drink.

An hour later she was well into her plan, a few shots down, her third bottle of beer in one hand and her phone in the other as she checked to see if she had any messages. Putting the phone down again when she saw none, she sighed and drank, unaware of anyone even remotely familiar.
