"Seriously, Kim.. how much food did you order?" Starbuck said with a chuckle as soon as the room service dude left the room with a nice tip in hand. Starbuck wheeled the cart through the suite to the bedroom. "I don't think it's possible for us to eat all this.. not even with you being pregnant." There was actually a full chocolate cake on the cart.

Starbuck hopped onto the bed, still dressed in the hotel provided robe, and snagged the remote from Kim. "We're not watching Sex and the City. There's gotta be something on that we both like. I mean, this isn't even the HBO episodes.. it's edited for TBS!" He started channel surfing while Kim checked out the massive spread of food. Starbuck refused to watch censored Sex and the City. He tolerated the non-censored episodes, because there was never a shortage of nudity. What was the point otherwise?

"So, the game isn't until Sunday. I was thinking we could walk the Freedom Trail tomorrow. We haven't done many tourist things in the city. And.. maaaaybe... you can have one of your surprises along the way," he teased.

What: Kim has some news to share and a discovery is made.

Kim bit down on her lip as she sat on the couch, her legs crossed underneath her as she stared at the blank television in the living room. Her period was two days late. Sure, it had happened before a couple of months ago, but this time, she had a feeling the outcome would be different. Lately, she was feeling kind of nauseous often, sometimes even having to run off to the bathroom to throw up. And she felt like she was dragging lately as well. Even leading up to the full moon, she wasn’t her usual energetic self, something that even Starbuck noticed.

Realizing she was late was one thing, but seeing that she had missed her pill a few days because she was so busy that she forgot to take it worried her. Especially since they forgot to use condoms sometimes. Kim didn’t know what to think right now, but she knew she was scared.

She stayed unmoving, staring at the television as she waited for Starbuck to get home. This was something she needed to tell him and find out the answer to together.

What: Vinnie needs to be patched up after his rampage.

Even when she wasn't around, Frankie somehow managed to severely piss Vinnie off. And it always seemed like it had to do with some guy or another. This time it was Grey, the slezeball she lost her virginity to back at Halcyon and the fucker had the nerve to go to their home, meet their parents, and lie to them to be able to take Frankie out. Why couldn't she just keep her word and not be around Grey? Why was she so goddamn trusting of everyone?

Vinnie couldn't stand it. First, he accidentally sparked up during his conversation with Sal and then the conversation with Frankie made it worse. Once he was off the phone, he began throwing shit around his room, breaking his desk lamp, a mug, throwing books around and then finally going into his bathroom and punching the mirror. Even with his hands bleeding, the fire didn't stop coming from him. His clothes were already burned around all the edges, some holes even in them as the sprinklers in his room finally came on. It stopped the fire issuing from his hands and literally cooled him down enough to assess the damage he'd done. Holy shit. Looking down at his hand, he realized he had to do something about it. Blood was dripping down the knuckles of his left hand as he talked to Starbuck online. Thank fuck for healers, but unfortunately he'd have to go over there.

Because of his hands, he couldn't change out of his singed clothes so he just walked through the tunnels dressed the way he had been though he also took his backpack where he'd managed to pack a change of clothes. Once he was at Starbuck's door, he knocked, wincing as he waited for his friend to open it.

When: Early Saturday morning
Where: Their apartment
What: Someone isn't feeling too well.

Friday night had been nice and relaxing which was exactly what Kim needed. She'd been feeling worn out the entire week what with running in between classes at BC and TJS, plus tutoring at BC and running back here to take care of Kamea. Add in the midterms that would be happening soon at BC and Kim was barely getting any rest. At least now it was the weekend and she wouldn't have to worry about school until Monday.

Kim had woken up only a few minutes ago, but she was still lying in bed, not wanting to move from the warmth and comfort of the sheets and Starbuck's arms. Shifting slightly so she wouldn't wake him up, she turned to look at the clock on the nightstand. They still had a good hour or so before Kamea woke up so it was best to take advantage of it by staying in bed.

When: Saturday night
Where: A house near the Boston College campus
What: Party time with crazy college kids.

Who: Cassie and Starbuck (With Jason mentioned at beginning)

Where: Starting in the dorms and ending in the infirmary.
When: Thursday morning.

Cassie buried her head in her hands when Jason insisted on taking her to the infirmary during their conversation online. Of all the friends it could be, it had to be him? It didn't seem like he was going to take no for an answer though, so the demon didn't figure she had much choice. Getting off the computer, she threw on underwear, baggy jeans, a fitted hoodie and green converse, ran her fingers through her hair, grabbed her keys and her bag with the stuff for her first class, Latin, in, and headed out the door.

She was barely a few steps from her door when she ran into Jason. He wasn't going to give her the chance to sneak away either it seemed. Cassie kept the conversation light as they walked over to the infirmary, relieved he didn't seem to have come to the same conclusion she had for the illness, although he didn't know everything she did... Still, it saved her a lot of awkwardness, even if she did still have to get rid of him before she went in. There was NO WAY she was going to be able to discuss this with a healer if he was there, so she thanked him for walking her over, assured him she'd talk to someone since she was there now, and left him outside the doors to the infirmary, hoping he wouldn't decide to make sure she did what she was meant to.

Cassie crept around the infirmary quietly, trying not to attract attention. Somehow she had a strange idea that she might be able to find a pregnancy test, like the drug store ones, in there, and could get out without having to talk to anyone and reveal her fears. Unfortunately her life didn't work like that, and neither did the infirmary, but she didn't realise there was anyone there until she heard them address her, making her cringe and turn towards the voice...

Starbuck was doing his best to put up with some of the songs he didn’t much care for on Kim’s “sexin’” playlist as he gave her a massage and kissed over her incredible skin, but he seriously had to cringe a few times. He’d issued more than a few, “Really?” type comments with a raised eyebrow. If Kim was hoping to get laid tonight, she’d let him play something that got him in the mood. Granted, she did a good job of that without any music, but good tunes didn’t hurt matters.

He was busy leaving a trail of kisses along her spine as he rubbed deep at the muscles just above her hips when the next song began to play. “Oh come on.. Justin Timberlake again? How many of his songs are on this playlist?” Though the fact that Starbuck knew so early into the song that it was J.T. gave him away. He didn’t so much mind all the songs, and he knew Kim had a soft spot for the singer. This album always made her horny.

Starbuck had considered spending the night at the infirmary when Fisher was brought in Saturday, but after healing the gash on the dude's head and taking care of a messed up shoulder, Starbuck was tired. It had been a long day, and Fisher hadn't been the only one in need of Starbuck's healing powers. He was better at keeping his energy levels up thanks to lots of practice, but everyone had a limit, and Starbuck had reached his. Fisher was still unconscious, and Starbuck sensed there was something more wrong on the inside, but head injuries were so damn tricky. Since Starbuck didn't know exactly what was wrong, he didn't want to risk healing the brain and it draining him dry in the process. Fisher seemed stable, and hopefully he'd come to on his own after getting some rest. There was nothing more Starbuck could do for the time being, and he'd be better served getting some food in his system and sleeping, so that's what he did.

When he returned in the morning, Fisher was still out cold. It made the healer frown. "Fisher?" he said, coming to the man's side and checking a few vitals. He'd learned enough from his EMT training now that he had a good medical foundation to back up his magical skills.

Who: Starbuck and Mac (with Kamea there as well)
When: Wednesday, early evening
Where: starting on the school grounds
What: introductions!

After walking the dogs, Starbuck took them back into the apartment to wait for their 'mommy' to return, then he got Kamea ready for a trip to the supermarket. Thankfully, it wasn't too cold out, so she didn't have to bundle up to the extreme. Starbuck liked the cooler weather, so he was clad in jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt as usual. Kamea looked adorable in a mint green hoodie and jeans of her own. She was fussing with the strings of the hood as Starbuck carried her out to the car.

Because it was a nice evening, they took their time with the stroll. The leaves hadn't really started to change yet, but the smell of Autumn was in the air. Kamea spotted a rabbit darting from one patch of bushes to another and bounced excitedly in Starbuck's arms yelling "Bunny!" He set her down so she could attempt to chase it. "Go get him!" And off she ran, stumbling a few times, but getting up quickly to continue her hunt. Sadly, the bunny got away, leaving Kamea to snoop around the edges of the bushes calling for the furry thing to come out and play. Starbuck stood back and chuckled.

That's when he heard someone else approaching. Starbuck glanced back over his shoulder and noticed a dark haired woman. It took Starbuck a moment to recognize her from class. Damn, started with an M, right? The class roster said Maria, but that wasn't what she preferred. After a few seconds it came to him. "Hey, Mac."

Where: in the car
What: heading home from their night out

As expected, Kamea failed to make it through the entire movie, though to be fair, she gave it a good try. She laughed and babbled as she saw things on the screen that she liked, but a trip to the theater is a bit much for most toddlers. A little more than halfway through the film, Kamea passed out in Starbuck's arms. At least she was sleeping and not squirming/screaming. This allowed Starbuck and Kim to enjoy the rest of the movie in peace.

When it was over, Starbuck carried his sleeping daughter out to the car and managed to strap her in without waking her up. It appeared as though she was going to remain comatose until morning. "We'll have to buy the movie when it comes out on DVD, maybe then she could see the second half."

Starbuck put the car in gear and opted for the scenic route since they were in no hurry to get back to the school. "It's such a relief that the damn inspections are over... but it got me thinking about the fact that if Kamea was older she might have said something she shouldn't have. I know we talked about how it's better for her to be here with other supernaturals, but maybe she needs to be playing with human kids too? If she says crazy shit now, people will just think she has a big imagination. Maybe we should get her enrolled in preschool."

What: a potentially awkward conversation arguing!

The idea of playing donor to vampires had been discussed before, and Kim didn't seem too thrilled about the idea, but Starbuck was hopeful she would change her mind. The healer in him wanted to help others, and having several good friends who were vampires, Starbuck felt he could really do some good by letting them feed on him. It was going to be in a classroom setting, so there was nothing sexual about it. It was all for the sake of learning, and it could teach Starbuck a thing or two about what a donor goes through physically, making it easier for him to heal them afterward. Would Kim see the rationality in all this? Starbuck had no idea.

He waited until their day came to a close before addressing the subject. Having just crawled into bed together, the late news on softly in the background, Starbuck propped his pillow up against the headboard and leaned against it. "I need to ask you something," he started seriously. "I was talking to Ava earlier... and they really need volunteers to act as donors in the Responsible Feeding class. Would you be upset if I did it?"

Where: Starbuck and Kim's staff apartment on campus
When: Wednesday afternoon
What: Kim reveals her biggest secret to her best friend

It was hard saying who was more nervous about Lauren’s pending arrival. Considering Ed’s absolute hatred of Starbuck, it was so very important that Starbuck impress the other most important person in Kim’s life. Lauren was like a sister to Kim. Starbuck needed to win her over. Not that he’d ever had trouble doing that in the past. Most parents loved him, hell, other girlfriends’ brothers loved him! He was hoping Ed was simply a fluke. A fucking crazy fluke.

Kim had much more reason to worry though, even if Starbuck had done all he could to reassure her. What if Lauren freaked out upon learning that her dearest friend was a werewolf? That was part of Starbuck’s reasoning for inviting Lauren to visit them on campus. Maybe then she’d see how common supernaturals were. She could see first hand that they led normal lives.

What: Starbuck is PISSED after his AIM convo with Fisher

On Fisher's end, it simply read [offline], but Starbuck didn't actually log out of the program. Instead, he threw his laptop across the room, breaking the machine. It was the first time in a very long time that Starbuck had taken out his rage on an inanimate object. Fisher's words cut deep, not because Starbuck believed them, but because it infuriated him to have anyone talk ill of Kim, and he was still on edge from the fight with Ed and Luke. Kim wasn't stupid, and Starbuck knew with every ounce of his being that she loved him more than anyone else in existence. How could Fisher say such things? It made Starbuck wonder if he'd made a mistake in befriending the guy, and maybe that was what hurt the most. Starbuck hated when he was wrong about someone, and it just dredged up the hurt he'd felt upon realizing that Kat wasn't who he thought she was.

Not bothering to explain his outburst, Starbuck stormed out of the house and toward the beach. He needed to cool off, and water was the only thing that helped in such situations. He'd feel better when the ocean was licking at his limbs.

What: All hell finally breaks loose.

Opening the sliding door from the balcony, Kim stepped back inside as she hung up her phone. Closing the door behind her, she flopped onto the couch beside Starbuck and faced him, pulling her legs up underneath her. “Lauren says hi. And she really wants us to visit sometime soon. You think you’d be up for a weekend trip down to New York?” she asked, propping her elbow on the headrest and her head in her palm. It had been way too long since she had seen her best friend. She missed her so much and now Kim was finally starting to summon up the courage to tell Lauren the truth about what she was. Maybe if they took a trip to see her, Kim would finally be able to share this side of her life with her.

Frankie was all flustered from stupid journaling and her phone conversation with Fox. She knew she probably should just drop the whole thing with Arc's rant about vampires, but Frankie simply couldn't. It still infuriated her, and she still couldn't understand how Cassie could let that sort of racist bullshit go on. How could you be friends with someone so vile? Worst of all, how could the people Frankie cared about like someone who was okay with that shit? Frankie didn't like the idea of Fox being friends with Cassie, and now it was all made even worse by the fact that they'd kissed before.

She had to go for a run to clear her head. That was the only way Frankie could really get rid of her frustrations short of bursting into flames for a bit, but that was hard to do in her apartment with the fire alarms and everything. Running would wear her out and help calm her down.

But when Frankie was in moods like this while running, she wasn't the sort to pay attention to her surroundings. Bad guys tended to notice that sort of stuff. Cute, petite girl in short shorts and a little t-shirt who looked like she couldn't put up much of a fight. Yeah, she was a tempting target.

Too tempting for a man leaning up against the brick just along the side of an alley. As Frankie jogged past him, he reached out and grabbed her roughly. One arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her back to his chest, while his free hand tightened around her throat. "Scream and I'll snap your neck," he warned.

Frankie wasn't good at listening though. She never had been. So as the guy started dragging her toward a car, the hand around her waist trying to push into her shorts, Frankie screamed and emitted more than enough heat to burn him. The guy yelled and let her go, seeming stunned by this development. Frankie was free of his grasp, and she turned around to throw a fireball at him before bolting out of the alley and back to the street. She ran as fast as her feet would carry her, wishing it was dark so she could fly instead and get as far away from that bastard as possible.

Too far from home, and scared to go there anyway, Frankie ran toward Kim and Starbuck's place. When she arrived, she was sweating, panting for air, and crying as she banged on the door.

What: Kim has a nightmare and finally reveals her past.

After eluding her for so long, sleep came easily to Kim now. There was still a nagging fear in the back of her head, telling her that it was possible that her parents or eldest brother could find her one day, but if they hadn’t by now, would they ever? After all, the scout from Australia had found her after only a few months and now here she was... a couple of years removed from her old life. If they really wanted to find her, wouldn’t they have already shown up? She didn’t want to think about it, but those thoughts, along with reminders of her old life still swam around her subconscious, waiting for a time to come out.

( Kim fell into REM sleep and those reminders sought the opportunity to show themselves again. )

Kim knew that Father's Day was a rough day for Starbuck, but she wanted to change that. His father may not be around anymore, but his presence still remained. She understood that it hurt to not have him physically present, but the fact that Starbuck could still communicate with him had to ease some of the pain. And Starbuck was now a father himself and he had the gift of love from the most beautiful baby girl. Kim was glad that Kai was also around to share in this day. The three women in his life just wanted him to feel loved.

Part of that plan involved finding Starbuck the right present. Kim had helped Kamea make her present for him, but she had to go out and find the perfect one for her to give him. It had taken her a few weeks, but she managed to find something that she thought he'd like.

Coming out of the bedroom with Kamea in her arms, Kim held his present behind her back while Kamea held hers in her tiny hands. "Wanna give Daddy his present now?" Kamea nodded happily as she was set down on Starbuck's lap, holding out the card she had made.
