Who: Fenrir
What: Fenrir gets pranked again
Where: Beginning in his room and then to Cassie's.
When: Tuesday, after yoga.

Yoga had gone without incident. After the general flood of rumors had gone through the school, all but the students devoted to learning the craft had abandoned the class, or realized it was a good idea to attend the late night classes designed around teaching. He was good at making people realize what to, and not to do.

He had been worrying lately about his anger, and what it was doing to him. He had gone a long time without being so ruled by his emotions, but he had also gone a long time living alone. It was different being in an institution with those who didn't understand the ways of the wolf. Infuriating even. But the yoga class was becoming the soothing experience it was meant to be, and he had been spending his time in meditation focusing on the crux of the matter, which was his viewing of all things as challenges.

It was this thought that was on his mind as he opened his door and suddenly found himself covered in glitter )

Saturday: 9/22/07

Who: Fenrir.
What: Fenrir discovers his pranked room.
Where: Fenrir's room.
When: Saturday evening, before the student party.

It had been a day, not unlike most other days. Fenrir was not so much exhausted as he was just desiring some alone time. The students would be having their welcoming party that evening, which meant he was free to celebrate on his own. He was really free to do that anytime, but a party with the rest of the staff meant the opportunity to have a little fun at their expense. Whether that meant just getting intoxicated and scaring them, or if he could manage to get a little time alone with one was entirely up to the rest of the staff, but even if he would never admit it, he did enjoy being among a community of people who at the very least put up with him. He'd been without a pack for too long, and this was the closest he felt he would ever come.

He pushed open his door and walked in without stopping to register anything, not expecting anything, when a loud popping sound made him jump. Which caused him to come down on two more of the balloons that blanketed his room, which caused more popping, and so it went as the sound of balloons popping and a smattering of swear words flooded from the room. Finally he had popped enough that he landed without popping any more, and he stood amongst his blanketed floor, staring at the one helium balloon with the sign saying "Think Happy Thoughts."

At that he yelled out a scream of fury, turned, walked out the room, slammed the door so hard he was amazed it didn't fly off the hinges, and began making his way towards the doors outside. He was going to shift, and he was going to kill something, and if it couldn't be a student, well he was going to find the first animal he could and devour it in the most violent means available.

Tuesday 9/18/07

Who: Go'Al'Enu and Fenrir
Where: Just inside the main entrance
When: Right after the cell phone incident
What: Less than formal introductions.

While familiarizing himself with the grounds, Go'Al'Enu had seen quite the interesting exchange between a professor and a student. One might even have called it a frightening exchange, and the earth elemental had to admit, when he had seen the man turn into a werewolf he had been nearly pushed to acting, though he knew if there had truly been harm meant in the act the girl would already be shredded.

He was glad to see the altercation end without violence, and made way as the girl stormed off, deciding to wait for the irate professor within the school. There was a hurried rush of other students filing in, presumably to get away from the mad man outside, and make their way towards the dining hall, as breakfast was fast approaching.

Finally the man he wanted to speak too strode in, with labored breaths and a scowl upon his face. Sticking his hands into his pocket to clutch a small piece of iron he carried on his person, he let the feel of the metal flow through his body, turning his internal chemistry into the metal as a precaution.
It was at this time he chose to act )

Wednesday: 9/19/07

Who: Fenrir and Blake
When: Lunch?
Where: Cafeteria.
Why: A discussion of meditative assistance.

It really was no surprise that Fenrir had nothing but a plateful of meat in front of him. It didn't matter what was being served, he would pick away at the unnecessary bits and leave the meat.

If he needed to eat grass there was plenty of that available. All of these vegetables and unnecessary foods. Just wasted time.

This year was proving to be exceptionally frustrating. He was used to the general incompetence of the students, but this year he was finding himself pushed to points...not healthy. He'd nearly gone too far with the one student with her cell phone. He knew it wasn't just his own anger that had influenced the situation. He'd never shifted involuntarily before, it couldn't have been his own doing...

It was why he was not particularly pleased when he was interrupted from his private thoughts by someone trying to get his attention. But he did have duties, and he couldn't let his displeasure show.

Tuesday: 9/17/07

Who: Fenrir and Cass
Where: The Courtyard
When: Morning Yoga
What: Fenrir versus the Cell Phone

Fenrir was glad that it was growing closer to classes. As the students grew comfortable, more and more the ones who weren't serious about the practice would disappear, and he would be left in peace with the students who knew what they were doing. The night classes would hold more of the students who did not, of course, but there were always enough interruptions in the first week that would bring out his anger and scare away the less dedicated students.

He breathed in stood up, prepared to begin another session, working through the sun salutations.

And then it happened. Something that pushed fire through his veins and froze him in mid position. A cell phone began to ring.

Sunday: 9/16/2007

Who: Fenrir and Dizz
When: Post Lunch
Where: The woods
What: The first lesson begins.

Fenrir layed lazily on the ground, trying to figure out what he was doing. In the time he had been in the school, he had never attempted anything as brazen as this. To teach a student to embrace the wolf in them, rather than simply controlling it. For one he'd never met anyone who wanted something like that. For two he'd never made the offer.

Maybe it was just boredom. He'd been living for a long time, and he had been without proper wolf companions for decades now. Maybe it was some unrealized instinct that he had pushed away and was resurfacing. Or maybe it was nothing at all. Maybe he had just let his desire to be top dog push him into making an offer he would regret.

Whatever his reasoning there was no turning back. Well there was, he could always just get up and leave and let her come to this spot to find nothing, but that would be pointless. She would find him around the school and then he would have to confront her anyways. He just hoped she recognized him in a pure wolf state. From what he understood, those who had not been born werewolves did not have the control to shift into a pure wolf state. It was strange to him, to think of being stuck half way. He would see what this new wolf could be taught.

Who: Lirije and Fenrir
What: The scared little kitty is brave enough to go to yoga with the big bad wolf
Where: The courtyard
When: 7:30 a.m.

Lirije was earlier than necessary for this yoga session, but she'd woken up at 7 and knew that if she didn't make herself go down to the courtyard immediately, she was likely to talk herself out of going altogether. Yes, the teacher was a man. He seemed a bit gruff, too, but he was a teacher. He wasn't allowed to do any harm, right? And even if he was, there was little chance that he actually would. She continually told herself that not everyone was like that, but it was easier to say than to believe.

With her yoga mat in tow, Lirije stepped out into the chilly morning. She was wearing a loose sweatshirt and stretchy track pants, appropriate for the class. She was experienced with yoga. Both it and pilates had been part of her ballet training for years and the positions had become almost second nature over time. She checked her watch when she arrived at the designated location, still utterly empty and quiet. It was still thirty minutes until the class was set to begin, so she lay out her mat carefully and sat cross-legged, eyes closed and arms at her side, relaxed in a state of semi-meditation.

It was quiet times like this one when she let herself really feel the beast inside her, though to her it wasn't so much a beast as just another part of herself. The panther, elegant and graceful, seemed to wake and stretch somewhere inside her, languidly shaking off both sleep and the confines of living within a creature who was split between two worlds. Liri tried very hard to be human most of the time because it was necessary, but she was still very much in touch with the animal within. It grew weary, tired of being trapped within for all but one night a month, but like Lirije, it endured patiently, accepting the injustice with a sort of dignified grace.

It was a peaceful feeling, to acknowledge and accept the feral side of herself, to know that despite the fact she looked human, she would always be something more. There was a comfort in coexisting, especially in moments like these where she allowed the panther to come so close to the surface, let the leopardess almost take complete control and yet maintain human form. It was that point before shifting that she knew how to control perfectly, how to suppress, but not how to overcome. Too many years of attempting to avoid the change because being caged while shifted was utter torture had made it an obstacle to just let go. This edge, this boundary before jumping off into her animal form, was a nice place though. A comfortable place.

Lirije sat and enjoyed the feeling until suddenly the panther--or maybe it was her, the two were so closely intertwined at the moment that it was difficult to tell where one began and the other ended, and perhaps neither began or ended at all. Perhaps they were one and the same--but she smelled a wolf. Nearby. Her human mind knew that it was the teacher, that it was okay, but the cat wasn't so sure.

Friday: 9/14/07

Who: Fenrir and Dizzy
When: Friday, Breakfast time
Where: The Cafeteria
What: Fenrir smells a new wolf and investigates.

Yoga had finished without incident. Students were trickling in slowly but surely, though he knew he would have more success with the night sessions. There were always more during the night sessions, and so that was the time he devoted to more instruction, as opposed to expecting them to follow. Really he always expected them to follow, but he was technically an instructor, even if his two subjects were optional.

With the start of a new semester there were always too many scents to filter through. He had picked up on the old vampire who smelled like dirt quickly, because it stood out, but the younger, fresher scents were harder to filter, as there were more of them and they were less unique. However, he had been sorting through them all week, noting that there were some scents he had never smelled before. One that even smelled like crystals. However in a facility that took in so many different species, he was concerned with filtering out only one type of scent. His kind.

He had caught the young ones scent yesterday, but hadn't realized how young she was until the five minutes of meditation that followed every yoga session. When he realized it, he knew he had to introduce himself. Well, introduce was a poor choice of words. He knew he had to let her know whose world she was in now.

He found her in the cafeteria, which was not surprising. Many of the young students had required classes and those required classes took up the morning. He walked over to where she was sitting, ignoring anyone that may have been with her and sat down in the nearest empty seat with a loud thud, not bothering to control the force of his body.

"We must talk, young wolf."

Saturday: 9/15/07

Who: Fenrir and Mikhail
When: Late Afternoon.
Where: The woods
What: Two wolves have themselves a run

Saturday was Fenrir's day to unwind. To escape from the school, the children, the adults, everything. It was his day to let his wolf run and live. There wasn't as much land as he was used to, but it was enough. He had enough to call this place home.

He had been surprised to wind up agreeing to a run with the advanced inner beast control class. He normally did not share his runs with anyone, but he was growing tired of his solitary existence. It was time to start branching out. He couldn't bring himself to think it was time to make friends, but acquaintances would be good. He might even have to start viewing the other races with out so much disdain.

He rounded a corner and went through a puddle, keeping close to the grounds until the other wolf joined him. He wasn't going to just stop and wait, but he would stick close and make it easier for his soon to be companion to find him. It was a bigger concession than he would normally make.
