and just as suddenly as he appeared, ron has left us. we left it a few hours in case this was him needing to be alone today, but no, he's gone. we managed to find note -- very short, but basically he's gone to look for h & h.

[ ORDER ]

Who survived lived through braved the Boxing Day sales? I limited my ventures to online purchases this year.

[Percy]
I have a proper card on the way, but congratulations.

Now that you've possibly had a chance to think My dear, we need to talk.

Since it’s that time of year (how is it that time of year already?): New Year’s resolutions, yea or nay, and if yea, what would you do? I’ve tried before and forgotten all about it by February. I think if I made any this ear, it’d be 1) go on a bloody holiday somewhere far away (visiting family doesn’t count) and 2) take more photos of the cat.

Speaking of, I walked by my neighbour’s house the other day:

Cut for photo )

REMUS LUPIN:
You like adventures. I have something to show you.
IMOGEN MONTAGUE:
How are you holding up with... you know. Is there anything we can do?

I don't know why my family thought that Trade In Your Ukulele That You're Never Actually Going To Play Because You Aren't as Hipster As You Think You Are Day would be a good event to host when we're already super busy on Boxing Day, but so it goes.

With that said, if anyone is interested in a ukulele, the family shop has an absurd amount right now. There's a few with dragon strings, and I'm pretty sure a couple need to go around the block since there are curses on them that we're not sure how to deal with. Seamus wants to give one of them to the Carrows once school starts back up but I've got him convinced (and rightfully so I think) that they'd think he was mocking them by giving them a tiny guitar.

Mari Lwyd is visiting the Gentle Green sometime tomorrow afternoon, and you're welcome to come by to greet her when she arrives! You don't need to book a room, just let us know you're coming so we can make sure we've got enough food.

(And if you decide you'd like to book a room while you're here, we've got a couple available!)

Nadolig Llawen!

Things to ask yourself in the New Year:
A) How is providing extra discounts based on blood status supporting the economy?
B) What kind of information do you continue to give away by keeping those ID cards in your pockets?
C) Your children are learning Dark Arts at Hogwarts. Believe the Quibbler.

And a piece of advice: darkened windows and quiet households will help keep you from being noticed by marauding groups of werewolves at the upcoming full moon. Werewolves seek out light, noise and community when under the influence of the wolf. With Greyback managing their registration, access to Wolfsbane and assuredly permitting them to run with him, stay quiet. Keep dittany on hand.

[ORDER]
I hope you all had a Christmas that was full of as much peace as you could muster and was rather brimming with hope, too. We haven't had much in the way of news from Harry, Hermione or Ron (despite Ron's brief appearance with Bill and Fleur). The kids at school are being tor well, I think they're being tortured. Hope's hard to come by.

But Gawain Robards' election certifies that we can turn the tide from the favour of the Death Eaters and Purists. I'm going to keep prodding publicly. Please be careful if you plan to do so, as well. But we cannot let the plight of the Muggleborns in hiding or the Wandless to go by the wayside, either. Perhaps we can utilise the map to plot a multi-portkey escape option using Molly's password. It's time for a bit of flash, don't you say? I'd also like to revisit the idea of recruitment. We'd put some ideas and names forth at at pre-holiday Order party, but I'm hoping we can revisit these ideas.

In my opinion, it's about time for another meeting. Wouldn't you say?

EDITED TO ADD: I've also been in contact with Leon Stebbins, who's going to be manning a clinic for those who St. Mungo's won't see. I'd like to help him get the information to the right people. We can discuss this at the next Order meeting too, perhaps?
