[ QUIDDITCH PEEPS ]

I've done what I can to distribute funds we've raised so far to the victims of the attack at the Puddlemere-Montrose games, along with some other Death Eater victims I've been able to identify.

I've also tentatively put the name of 'Goalpost' as the name of the charity down on all of the paperwork, unless anyone has a better idea. My lawyer assures me it's easy enough to change if we want to at some point.

My next question is - where do we want to go with this? Things have changed significantly for us since we started talking about this, and our ability to raise funds may be restricted by our lesser public profile. But I'd like to continue this work, raising money for those caught in the crossfire. And while at this stage the charity wouldn't be able to provide anyone with a pay cheque, it will give us something to do until they reinstate Quidditch.

And my final question - who is up for a pick up game sometime soon?

I'm somewhat impressed by the lack of reports of break-ins while there was the issue with property wards. What a law-abiding bunch we all seem to be.

The Appleby Arrows players and staff extend their sincere condolences to those who lost family and friends during Saturday’s attack, and our thoughts and prayers are with the injured.

The Quidditch Players Association had been planning to launch its new charitable endeavour next month, but given the situation we will be starting early by raising funds for the families of the injured and deceased. More information will be available soon, but in the meantime you can send donations to [Gringotts vault details].

A while back Grace raised the idea of us as a group doing more to help those most affected by the changes made by the Ministry. If anyone is still interested, I have some connections with some Muggleborns in hiding and I'm keen to find a way to sneak supplies to the Wandless again. And I'm happy to help coordinate any other ideas people might have. It looks like my schedule will be lightening up.

Given what a [...] challenge 2017 has been, I’d like to cordially invite you all to join me in seeing it out in style.

My friends at the Floating Lantern in Horizont Alley are being kind and opening the doors to their newly reburished rooftop bar for the evenings. Doors open at 8pm, entry is free, and there will be much merriment to be had. There will be an open bar between 11pm-1am to see the new year in, and a fireworks display.

I have an unexpected weekend free and I've been trying to source suggestions for what to do with the free time. So far the following things have been suggested:

- hot yoga (I'm still confused by what this is)
- hiking
- winery tour
- board games night

While I decide, does anyone have any other suggestions?
