Earlier tonight, Ar. Robards sent in a distress call for DMLE backup. Jasper and I were on the night shift and responded. There were three Death Eaters -- we each dueled one but by the time they left and we returned back to the Wizengamot offices, Ar. Robardswahadwasn'thad fallen off the balcony.HeHe's been confirmed dead.

I have some terrible news about Ar. Robards and there's really no good way of saying it. A Death Eater killed him tonight. I'm really, really sorry.

This is a lot more short notice than I wanted, but it's been a busy few days, so I apologise! But SOMEONE is getting married this weekend and we can't send her off into the marriage abyss (trademark pending) without a little party. What do you say to a spa day Friday? Things have just been bothering me a bit since my brother's come home and I guess I wanted to see if anyone else felt the same way. I guess my big worries are whether I can KEEP Michael out of school and what to do about what's happening there. I've heard enough about the detentions to make me sick about it.

I got a letter from Michael yesterday and to make a long, VERY AWFUL story short: they've been teaching the students DARK ARTS. Like actual dark magic! And they're doing detentions with BLOOD QUILLS! Even though they're just kids! And shouldn't be learning dark magic or having detentions with blood quills or having to endure ANYTHING ELSE that's happening that my brother probably isn't telling me because he doesn't want me to worry! And I don't know what to do!
And also if you tell anyone about this please don't say you got it from me. I don't want Michael to get in trouble.

My brother is a seventh year at Hogwarts right now. He's really bright. He doesn't write much and I just figured it was because he doesn't write much usually, but I got a letter yesterday from him and most of it is because he doesn't write much, but he says they're censoring letters. This one was fine because he sent it from Hogsmeade.
He says that the new professors are teaching them Dark Arts and giving detentions for no reason where there are blood quills (which was something that I remember him saying Umbridge was really into, so that's great!) and I know that's not a lot of information so as soon as I see him, I'm going to ask him for more, but if you know him, this isn't something he'd ever share so the fact that he's saying things aren't fine and he's actually scared and he's asking for help is really, really bad!

Roger Davies (reserve Chaser for the Falcons) warded Owen and me yesterday about his barista poisoning his coffee -- her name's Angela, she works at [name of coffee shop], and when I went to talk to her, she just said she hadn't noticed anything and that she's been having a good week. The manager said that he hadn't realised anything was different either, until that day. I took her to St. Mungo's but they couldn't say for sure what had happened -- just that she had been cursed. I think it's safe to say it was probably the Imperius though.

It's Baz's birthday next Friday! I don't really want to deal with him pouting all over the place again because we "forgot" his birthday so he's included in this! Baz, please practice your surprised face.
You're all cordially invited to a potluck dinner on December 1st! Bring a dish, bring dessert, bring drinks, bring anything you want as long as it's edible! Bring gifts too, but that's just for Baz. We'll take care of the alcohol but OBVIOUSLY we won't say no to more :)
