Ms. Avery and I have been delighted by the interest in the Benefactors of Traditional Cultural Heritage Valentine's Day Gala, which is not too heavily focused on the theme of the day (we promise) but featuring a lovely collection of the fine arts, including a performance by the famed Sergei Nureyev and Nina Fontaine, and a very special surprise guest.

We also remind you that there will be a silent auction and the ever effervescent Sinistra Lowe in attendance, promoting her latest work, Magic Thieves: I Didn't Do It, But If I Had Here's How. As if this was not more than enough, the Great Humberto has promised to grace us with his presence. There are still a few tickets available, so we would simply love to have you among us to welcome our visitors from abroad and ensure that their stay here is a memorable one conducive to strengthening international ties between our community.

More importantly, please do consider donating to the Society For Distressed Witches Annual Christmas Drive. It was established by Dorcas Wellbeloved in the 19th century and provides invaluable aid to women and children. I know that the Society is not able to donate to Muggleborn witches this time, but I am of the opinion that just because you cannot help everyone, this does not mean that you should help no one.
