So spell-deflecting sunglasses is probably a thing we should work on, eh, Fred? I was too busy getting my shoulder popped back into place to get to check on anyone after Lee dragged my pathetic (yet always illustrious) arse out of there. You know, your typical Thursday afternoon.

There's so much undue pressure put on kids to act a certain way and be respectful and etc, yet more and more it's grown ass adults I see behaving like children with no home training. Curious!

So I was looking up some podcasts this morning before work, and I came across something called "Potterwatch." Have any of you heard of it? Obviously the name was intriguing enough for me to open it. They used code-names, but two of the voices were definitely very familiar, though I don't really want to speculate too much on who they might be, since I'm sure they have a very good reason for trying to maintain privacy. They were talking about an attack at King's Cross yesterday on Muggle-born students, and then they got me ugly crying by asking us to remember out first day at Hogwarts, and it made me remember how excited I was and how different the world was then.

Ugh, didn't need that, really, but I hadn't even heard about an incident at King's Cross until I stumbled on this weird broadcast. We're so swamped with inquiries from anxious foreign delegations wanting to know if a refugee crisis is imminent and what the fuck are we doing, etc. (to which my answers are basically IDK??? in several different languages), that we barely know what's going on with the other departments.

The Potterwatch people also had some choice wards against maintaining neutrality...which I kinda agree with, but it's also kinda nice if you even have the luxury to be so outspoken about everything.

I always thought Hogwarts could benefit from including some muggle sports. Not everyone is a great flyer, so why not introduce football? Rugby? You could charm the basketballs or get creative with spells, even. I think sports are a great way of teaching teamwork and respect for one another, whether the sport is magical or not.

QUIDDITCH PLAYERS/STAFF

The Harpies are in as well. With the Magpies, Falcons, Puddlemere, and Harpies that's 4 teams. If we're all still good to submit a statement, I say now is a good time, especially if what happened to those kids is true. What do you think? Did anyone hear anything from the Cannons?

I miss being able to just go for a fly for a few hours as a distraction.

Also, my mam sent over a lasagna large enough to feed 10 people. You know how she gets.

Every single child deserves a chance at a life and at an education. They don't deserve to feel terrified to go to a train station. They don't deserve to be tricked and trapped and taken away from their families. They don't deserve to be victims of some peoples beliefs in a twisted ideology. It's a right that they should be educated. Let them, for the love of god.
