Thursday 1/1/07
Who: Jono, Ruby
When: 6:30 onward
Where: Primarily Noble's Restaurant (prior and post date at the dorms)
What: An official date
Rating: TBD
Glad he didn't take long showers, Jonothan hurried back to his room after baseball practice. It was about 6:05 when he got there. In a rush he showered to scrub away the stink and sweat caused by his hard work on the field. It was about 6:15 when he jumped out of the shower, dried himself off, and dressed. Between his mother always wanting her son to be prepared and sports teams having business dress days, Jono was able to wear a suitable outfit for the evening. Pulling up his black slacks and tucking the hem of his white shirt into the waist, he buttoned and zipped his slacks. Ahh. Throwing himself onto his bed he pulled up his black socks and hid them under his pant leg, black dress shoes being tied onto his feet. The jacket that went with the outfit hung on a hook near the door.
There was a long, dreaded pause as he stared down a red tie. They were such a pain in the ass. . .but Jono wasn't sure he wanted to risk not wearing it. Ruby was a picky lady and he might have looked a little silly without it. Suit without a tie. Not going to happen.
He was dressed at 6:27, grabbing his wallet and keys on the way out the door. That could have gone more smoothly, sure, but that wasn't something he was concerned with now. Jono looked presentable and was ready to meet his date. Rounding the corner and flying into the lobby, he huffed and gave a sigh when he appeared. At least he wasn't late--though he would have preferred to be there earlier. Next time he would allow 45 minutes to prepare since half an hour clearly wasn't enough. Ah well.
