Unraveling with every word...
Who: Telyn and Adam
Where: Starting outside Adam's house
When: Early afternoon
The morning wasn't exactly terrible. She'd lain in bed for a while, pretending to be asleep every time Lucky came to check on her. It was something the pair did, something they accepted because both of them knew full well the blonde was faking it. It felt almost weird to be home again. It was more than just the feeling of sleeping in her bed again, though that was definitely better. She had more soft pillows and she loved how airy her sheets were. It was the familiar rain pattering against her windows, the sounds of the neighborhood, something she didn't get when she was with her family. They were too secluded from the main road and she didn't like that. So she'd listened as she lay there, taking what comfort she could from those little noises.
Finally, she felt a wet noise press against her arm and there was a soft whine. Her eyes opened and she looked down at the dog by her side. 'Are you ever going to get up?' he asked, laying his head on the bed. This eyes looked so forlorn and she didn't know what to do. They both knew that she would feel better once she'd actually talked to Adam but they also both knew she was likely to avoid that for fear he hated her or something.
"Yeah, I guess." The letter she'd finally written was still laying on her nightstand, right next to her phone. She threw back the covers and sat up. "Let me shower and then I'll get you something to eat, okay?" Her gave a happy yip as she finally got to her feet and made her way into the bathroom. It probably would have been a good idea to start the coffee first but she wasn't thinking clearly, as evidenced by the headache she had when she left the bathroom, dressed in shorts and a plain tee shirt, hair in dripping curls.
It was in the early afternoon that she finally felt human enough to go outside and take Lucky for his walk. It had nothing to do with the fact that she didn't see Adam's car in his drive way. Rain didn't bother her so much, so it definitely didn't have to do with that. She just grabbed an umbrella and didn't bother leashing her familiar as they headed out, her phone in her pocket and the letter in her hand.
They walked around the block and she was approaching Adam's house. His car wasn't there and she breathed a small sigh of relief. She headed up the walk and knocked, just to make sure he wasn't there. When she got no answer, she left the envelope on his door with a small piece of tape she'd left on the white paper just in case.
Just as she was turning around, a car pulled up and she felt her heart start to thud in her chest. He was home, something that pleased Lucky, who bounded over to the car with a happy bark.
