Waiting By the Phone

Who: Lucia (open to Hannah and/or Monica)
When: Morning
Where: Hannah and Monica's apartment

Lucia sat on Hannah and Monica's couch, knees pull up to her chest and arms wrapped around them, staring at her phone. She'd sent the text over an hour ago and still nothing.

Maurus could still be sleeping. He wasn't exactly a morning person and he worked until late. Or he was still mad at her. Her throat tightened up at the thought that her brother could stay mad at her that long. That wasn't supposed to happen. He was supposed to understand. He knew she was trying to help, he knew she was worried.

Why could he take two fucking seconds and just type a reply to let her know he was still alive?

She couldn't stop looking at her phone and hoping she'd get a message.

How delicious!

Who: Nastasiya and Sebastian
When: Around 10pm
Where: Nastasiya's apartment

She was feeling 'frisky' tonight. Or maybe she just wasn't thinking clearly, she hadn't woken up long ago and was hungry on top of it. In any case, Nastasiya had ordered more 'takeout' than she could rightfully go through. And many of them weren't even her blood type, per lapse. Rather than get annoyed at John's people, she decided to send yet another text message to Sebastian.

Ordered quite a number of dolls, I feel like sharing. Want to come over?

Nastasiya was beginning to get quite bored, otherwise she wouldn't dream of inviting Sebastian, of all people. To him it could be perceived as some sort of sign of weakness; she just knew it. But at times concessions must be made and this was one such time.

Without waiting for him to arrive, or even respond, the vampire began feeding on the most beautiful human male in the house. Fae blooded, too. And extremely eager, judging from the way he just closed his eyes and let go. With a smile, Nastasiya sunk her teeth in.

Who: Theodore Nettle and Skylar Tallis
Where: Skylar's house and then the beyond.
When: June 10th / 2009 - 5:30pm

When he asked if she wanted to go for dinner, it was driven by two things, the first, was because it'd be cool to hang out with the girl, she didn't have a ton in common with Theodore but they'd always been friendly, the second, because he couldn't stand his parents cooing at each other much longer without needing a barf bag. )

I need caffeine in my blood stream

Who: Lia and Eliza
What: Frustration, random thoughts and caffeine
Where: Lenore Bookstore and Cafe (The cafe part)
When: Late afternoon

When she had done her drive through town, she made sure she spotted all the good places to read and think and hopefully write something. So when she wanted to get out, Lia headed down to the bookstore, knowing how much she missed the ones in New York. It wasn't a huge chain bookstore, smaller, quaint but with a cafe where the coffee smelt like heaven. After ordering something, she found herself a arm chair and kicked off her flip flops, tucking her legs up and making sure to smooth out her dark blue skirt before cracking open a brand new notebook, the pages unlined and waiting for her. Marie had given it to her as a going away present and she was glad of it, not that she needed another one.

The pen waited at the edge of the paper, waiting for inspiration, the spark, something. All she could think about was New York and the city and how she missed Marie and Mike. Without thinking, her pen began to move, her mind lost in thought as she sketched, thinking about the park and the little places she knew of, places to hide, to eat good food. This was a fresh start for her and all she could think of was her past. It was frustrating to say the least. Glancing down, she had been doodling Alex's face, a face that was permanently in her brain. Damn him. She tore the sheet out and crumpled it up as small as she could and tossed it towards the nearest garbage can.

So Much For a Quiet Drink

Who: Mikhail and Johan
Where: Anywhere But Here
When: 7pm-ish
Rating: Blood, Violence, Mutilation You have been warned.

Mikhail didn't drink very often. He'd been raised to believe it was a nasty Gaje habit, and there was still a lot of blame for the downfall of more than one troupe because men bewitched by devil liquor. Marshall had been a man of extreme discipline, alcohol dulled the senses and slowed reflexes. Drinking wasn't a habit a hunter could really afford, in any way.

But after the last few days he had, he needed something to relax himself. His life had been one jarring encounter after another lately. First Amelie wanted him to teach her about vampires. That wasn't so strange, hunters had to learn from someone and like him, she hadn't come from a hunter line.

Then Annie had asked him to teach her to defend herself. That was strange, considering he'd nearly killed her trying to destroy the monster she'd been harboring. But she had a right to defend herself.

And Shanti...well, he didn't even want to go there. That was beyond bizarre. He couldn't stop thinking about her, and not just because she was so like him it was almost frightening. She was a beautiful woman after all and he'd seen far more of her in the last two days than he'd seen of any woman in years.

He should not be thinking about any woman like that. He had to keep reminding himself of that. No attachments. Besides, he didn't defile women with his unclean body. The few times he had, they had been prostitutes who'd been very willing. And paid well.

Of course, would it be defilement when she was as damned as he was?

Better to drown such thoughts in brandy than explore them at all. Especially since the woman clearly despised him.

Who: Luke and Dylan
Where: Starbucks Coffee, Mall, Ann Arbor
When: Late Afternoon

Shopping. How boring. Still, buying new things might be annoyingly time consuming, but having new things? Worth it. As well as the flirtations with the flushed little brunette who had worked at one of the stores he had stopped buy, scurrying for whatever she thought 'suited' him. Even one hint that he did not agree with one of her choices, and it was taken away, immediately replaced.

Things were arranged to be sent to his home, because he was not dragging any bags around like he had just come from a flip flop sale at Old Navy. Yes, he was at a mall, but he was not completely uncivilized. Leave that to other people.

Despite its low brow spread like an octopus across the country, Starbucks still had decent coffee, and Luke wanted the caffeine rush. The call of, "Order up!" and Luke was collecting his drink.

He couldn't pretend to like her or even care )
