I need caffeine in my blood stream
Who: Lia and Eliza
What: Frustration, random thoughts and caffeine
Where: Lenore Bookstore and Cafe (The cafe part)
When: Late afternoon
When she had done her drive through town, she made sure she spotted all the good places to read and think and hopefully write something. So when she wanted to get out, Lia headed down to the bookstore, knowing how much she missed the ones in New York. It wasn't a huge chain bookstore, smaller, quaint but with a cafe where the coffee smelt like heaven. After ordering something, she found herself a arm chair and kicked off her flip flops, tucking her legs up and making sure to smooth out her dark blue skirt before cracking open a brand new notebook, the pages unlined and waiting for her. Marie had given it to her as a going away present and she was glad of it, not that she needed another one.
The pen waited at the edge of the paper, waiting for inspiration, the spark, something. All she could think about was New York and the city and how she missed Marie and Mike. Without thinking, her pen began to move, her mind lost in thought as she sketched, thinking about the park and the little places she knew of, places to hide, to eat good food. This was a fresh start for her and all she could think of was her past. It was frustrating to say the least. Glancing down, she had been doodling Alex's face, a face that was permanently in her brain. Damn him. She tore the sheet out and crumpled it up as small as she could and tossed it towards the nearest garbage can.
