[ although the morning's rain prevented them from getting an early start on setting up, quinn and rebekah have managed to pull everything off in time for the dance to start. there's tables to sit at when you don't feel like dancing or enjoying the surf, lots of hawaiian-themed snacks and desserts to eat, grass skirts and leis available for those who wish to wear them, lanterns and torches everywhere, with live music provided by quinn, oz, jack, lacus, and anyone else who wishes to get up and sing!

the only thing this party's lacking is the booze, per quinn's intentions of having this be an alcohol-free party. however, that doesn't mean someone isn't going to spike the punch when she's not looking, so if you were planning on doing so -- have at it!

so, go ahead and dance it up with your dates, mingle with some new cr, hop around, and threadjack to your heart's content. festivities will carry on until sometime after midnight when clean up will commence. enjoy! ]

[Zatanna appears with one of the smiles that gives away just how much up to something she is. There's a slightly oversized yellow hard hat on her head, and a belt around her waist that looks suspiciously similar to Robin's utility belt. It's totally not the same one, of course. Don't be silly.]

[ Being cooped up for two days and then stuck in a silent movie the third can make anyone go a bit bonkers, so after.... sorting out his business so to speak, Spike hits the pavement to work out some of that restlessness. He can be found in sector 0, 4 and 5 as well as around the Athletic Complex either taking out his aggressions on a punching bag (they don't fight back so well) or a willing sparring partner.

[ He's not entirely sure why he's here, aside from the fact that he needs to. They have things to sort out. Maybe the shifter doesn't want him around anymore and that is fine (no, really. We should get together and discuss what we know. I've talked to a few people. I collaborated with several the last time I was here. But, they were separate. It doesn't seem like it got us anywhere. And I want to get somewhere. So, I think we should team up. Officially.

Seven, if you haven't met her is from years into the future. She gave me the idea to hack the system. Does anybody know a hacker.

We'd have to know what to hack into but it's a start. Mystical means and portals didn't fly last time. And there's a chance that I found something without telling anyone.

That's not going to happen again. I think we should focus on getting out of here and worry about getting back to our worlds after.

Good morning everyone. I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier. I managed to find a few friends of mine so they were helping me get settled in. My name is Megan Morse.

This is some place, isn't it? I wouldn't think there would be so much in a prison. Apartment buildings, pets, it's amazing. I looked at the map, but I really need to get out and see what else is here. I'd rather not be in a prison, but for having to be in one, this isn't too bad.

Also it is normal for there to be days where there are food carts? I can't wait to try some of the pastries the warden was talking about.

[Eric is behind the bar, cleaning things up a bit earlier than usual at the Blood Shack. He flips on the video for the network and gives a smile that's a bit more strained around the edges than usual. Most people wouldn't notice it, but those that know him well might. His voice is that congenial, well-practiced politicians sort of voice that he uses when doing PR for Nan's group or when attempting to be diplomatic.

Sookie is still upset at Eric; his invitation to the apartment they shared is still revoked and Eric doesn't know how to deal with that. When Sookie got angry at him at home, he had other things to keep him busy. There were witches and politics and an actual business to run that had to be kept successful. There were werewolves, clients, customers, baby vampires and near disasters. Here, Eric has a bar that will literally run itself and no real motivation to make sure it succeeds. The only near disaster he's got to prevent is the personal one he's currently going through with Sookie. It's a lot for a Viking Vampire to process.]

I'll be taking a short sabbatical from the Blood Shack. Your friendly waitresses and bartenders will still be here to serve you as will, I'm certain, the bots if necessary. Call it a vacation, if you will.

ACTION - Zatanna

[In hopes of finding out more about what was going on--and partially because she was just bored--Zatanna headed out of her apartment the moment she'd finished breakfast. Making sure to leave a few extra portions of pancakes for the others. And a special stack for Wally with a even special-er note stating that was all he got, and she'll tell if he eats the rest of it too.]

[Things seemed fairly normal, in her opinion. There looked to be a few more "couples" floating around than she'd remembered...but, hey, never doubt the powers of the Tunnel of Love. Or the Ferris Wheel. It certainly worked for her.]

[Still, she gradually made her way through the sectors in hopes of finding something that didn't require her to go to the kiosk for answers. Though, it was the one who wasn't V, so her hopes were slightly higher than normal that today wouldn't actually be as bad as she was dreading....]

[Until she had her first encounter with the bots, of course.]


ACTION - Robin Jr.



[Robin Jr. was the happiest little puppy you'd ever meet under the sea.]

[His mommy not only loved and spoiled him daily, but had the most comfortable lap. Warm and inviting and she always smelled like food whenever he curled up in it. Her kisses were the best, too. Daddy was...okay. Spent way too much time with mommy, which took mommy's attention away from him. What a mommy hog. Uncle Wally was secretly his favorite. He had the perfect stomach for sleeping on, and always snuck him table scraps. Always. And Auntie Artemis knew just which spot behind his ear was the best for scratching. She would purposely ignore Uncle Wally just to pet him, too. Daddy should take notes sometime.]

[But, of course, even the perfect puppy life was not enough for the pet of one Zatanna Zatara. He loved his whole family, but that didn't mean he still didn't want to play with all the happy people that he saw outside the window. All kinds of people! He bet some of them smelled like food and knew all the best places to scratch, too.]

[So, when mommy and daddy and Uncle Wally and Auntie Artemis weren't around...Robin Jr. would sometimes sneak out of the apartment. He'd found out how days ago. It was easy enough, and he was slowly working his way around. One of the people called it Sector 4. He called it awesome.]

[ Angel is supremely unimpressed. He's woken up in the sparsest graveyard he's ever seen.

Which is ironic, isn't it?

Sector 5 is the name of the game. His clothes have been taken. His sword is gone. Someone dressed him. In orange. And the ankle monitor isn't coming off. Also, he has half, maybe even less then the strength he had before because of the 24 hour ankle monitoring so getting off is pretty much a joke. He figures the paper bag is for him.

At first, he does believe this is some clever attempt at tipping the scales. Wolfram and Hart has done their fair share. But, taking him out of the fight completely breaks every rule. It breaks prophecy.

After realizing there's nothing in the bag besides his communicator, he inspects it. He's never worn anything like it. He takes time to read the pillar. He looks back down at the thing in his hand. He still... doesn't know how to use it because he's Angel.

No welcome message for him, yet! He's going to wander around the graveyard and then around Sector 5 for a bit.

He'll spend some time at the non-denominational prayer center, the gardens... ]

( ooc: throughout the day, he'll explore. especially if close CR does find him. and he'll be told how to listen and use the communicator. but for now, he's wandering. specify what sector you'd like to see him in! sector 6 is pretty much the only sector that's off limits. for now... )

The festival continues. The dome's "sun" begins to set and the the sky is painted in gradually darkening shades until all is dark beyond the glowing of the lanterns and sparkling of the colored lights on the rides and games.

The speakers high above on the floating island begin to play soft ambient music and the dark dome flickers to life once more as projections of landscapes light the sky. They fade in and out every few minutes with images of cityscapes, deserts, seasides, mountain ranges in shades of futuristic, ancient, post-apocalyptic, foreign, and outer space. It may seem like a random assortment at first, but then the scene shifts again and just might take your breath away as you recognize what you're seeing. No people. No animals. But the landmarks are all there. It's a place you grew up or lived or worked or fought for or died at, and then it's gone again, fading into someone else's memory.

After an hour or so the scene shows another sunset and the sky goes dark aside from the sparkling of a starscape. New lanterns are lit leading a path to the beach where there's a large white open-style tent with a dance floor. Flames light the fire pits and there are colors projected upon the water so it glimmers in different hues. The music takes on more variety and life, perfectly suitable to dancing.

[Oz is out in the open amidst all the celebrations. Going directly from a battle to a celebration? That’s a shocker. He’d just had Kelden in his arms. Bayarmaa was badly injured. So many dead wolves. So many dead Slayers. So many dead humans. And now instead of smoke it smells like cotton candy.

Oz’s reaction? He looks left. He looks right. His brow furrows as the memories of this place flood back into his brain space. And then…]

Huh.

Happy Anniversary, Marina Nova!

The bots have been busy cleaning up the dome and setting up decorations for this momentous occasion, and by now there isn't a nook or cranny left un-pimped! Bright blue MarinaNova flags wave happily in the artificial breeze together with the colorful ribbons that have been wrapped around poles. The streets are illuminated by strings of lights and paper lanterns and each sector gate has been lovingly decorated with fragrant flower garlands.

Of course, that is far from all! There wouldn't be much of a festival without entertainment and your loving wardens have made absolutely sure that there's something for everyone!
