Muggle-borns: The Order stands with you and we are here to help. We don’t buy this preposterous, purist rubbish. Think carefully about what you plan to do in light of the unjust Muggle-born Registration Commission.
Registering with the Ministry will mean putting your fate in the hands of known abuser of Hogwarts students, Dolores Umbridge. Umbridge refuses to say what, specifically, will happen to Muggle-borns who register. In response to a concerned citizen, Umbridge wrote, “After the interview, if they are deemed to be a muggle-born, the muggle-born will be registered in our registry and we will be looking into the theft of magic.” There is only one way this investigation of “magic theft” can end, since magic theft is not real; it will end in a conviction. The punishment? Unknown, but in spite of what Umbridge claims, we believe it will indeed be sinister.
Consider, too, that the MRC has been lauded by known Death Eaters, criminals, and murderers:
“Congratulations on achieving what centuries of the Ministry could not. Your commission promises to be a victory for wizardkind,” writes Bellatrix Lestange, Death Eater, murderer, and torturer who ought to still be serving a life-sentence in Azkaban.
“I'm glad we finally have a Minister who isn't completely inept. Fudge and Scrimgeour were jokes. Thicknesse is steering this country back in the right direction,” applauds Rabastan Lestrange, another Death Eater, murderer, and torturer whose life-sentence in Azkaban has ended curiously early.
Not registering and getting caught later will incur an even worse punishment. However, registering could make attaining true safety and security difficult, if not impossible. We can help. Trust you friends and loved ones, turn to them to get connected to those who are able to help.
Friends and Family of Muggle-borns: Now is your moment. Stand by your loved ones, stand up, reach out, help them gain access to life-saving resources.
